Brantley
I had this in another thread already, but oh well. Anyway, Brantley made it seem as if all of our success is just pure luck. I don't mind if a guy doesn't pick us, but to think that all of our wins have been lucky is just stupid.

Do you have a problem?
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 08:57 AM) I couldn't give a damn what he says. In fact when I woke up Friday and flicked on Comcast and saw all his bleeps I started laughing my balls off. Even Mike Wilbon who is a devout Cubs fan said he wished he had Ozzie on the northside over the overrated Dusty Baker and him and Kornheiser laughed at all the bleeps. Lots of people would rather have Ozzie because of his attitude. He calls it the way he sees it.

Do you have a problem?
Yes it would be.

We win and we get respect.
Well Larry Bowa predicted us to win the Wild Card, but Jeff Brantley said that we have no chance of that pitching continuing.

Do you have a problem?
I have no problem with it. The thing about Frank was a little overboard, but the rest he's spoken was good and shows that he's aware unlike some of the managers around here prior to him.

The Mendoza Line...
QUOTE(mrzo2733 @ Apr 23, 2005 -> 01:44 AM) Give the man a full month before ripping him. I think he has earned it. As far as I'm concerned, I will never ever say anything bad about AR. He has been my fav player on the Sox since he crashed into the wall making a catch twice within like a week back like 4 years ago. I've been on the bandwagon from the beginning and I'll go down with the ship if need be (even though that wont be necessary). The fact that you say you'll never say anything bad about Rowand just means that you won't admit when he's doing bad. Also, were there many threads about Rowand last year?? I don't know because I wasn't here, but I would guess not. Maybe, just maybe, Crede is having a breakout year similar to Adrian Beltre. I forgot though, half of this board is one big Anti-Crede Propaganda and 80% is Pro-Rowand Propaganda. It seems that there are rules against calling certain favorites out.

Zo donates salary to charity
QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 10:32 PM) That is 2.9% of the money he made this year wo0t. People who make he makes per year give that same percentage. Other peopel donate far more money than he did and no one makes as big of a deal as this. I may just be looking at this the wrong way because of how his personality is. Exactly. If it was the money he was getting from the Nets, then I would say it's a big deal, but it's not that much to him at all. Jordan gave more than him(all his last contract which was 3 million). Zo is a big dickhead. I used to not want to think so, but man, watching him play has opened my eyes.

The question so obvious that noone thought to ask
I want the Bears to take BMW, they'll end up taking either Benson or Brown though.

The Mendoza Line...
QUOTE(mac9001 @ Apr 22, 2005 -> 08:52 PM) I take this is a shot at all the people who were critical of Crede after only a few games. Correct. And to all those people who suggested batting Rowand 3rd.
-
The Mendoza Line...
That's right. He's the only one who hasn't done anything for this team. Even Dye has had his games. So in spite of the last thread how it should be renamed the Crede line, I say let's name it the Rowand line.

They still have a nice class for next year. They'll be back.

Worst Sports Radio Show On The Score
J Hood. Used to like him, but he is so pro-cubs. I now hate him and it seems like he doesn't do his HW when discussing things either. He speaks out of his ass alot.

Ordonez calls Sox skipper his 'enemy'
Wow, I just read the tirade at the end in the Sun-Times and he went crazy. It has to be previous knowledge of steroids or something. I don't know how else he could destroy him. Anyway, I don't think Ordonez will be plunked simply because the MLB will suspend him right away and they would have gained nothing.

LMAO @ Steve A. Smith
I love Walton too. He could turn a boring game into something entertaining. I hate Skip. You should've heard him today. "If I were the Miami Dolphins, I would take Jason Campbell #2 overall." The guy is flatout dumb. And then when he tried to say Porter is just as good as Terrell Owens. Riiiiiiiight.

Ozzie's lineups
If they're winning, I don't give a damn if Timo were to bat 3rd followed by Pod.

Who is your fav Sox Mgr of all time
Lamont and Torborg all the way.

Who is your fav Sox Mgr of all time

LMAO @ Steve A. Smith
I love Stephen A. He tells it like it is. Sometimes he may be wrong but he states the obvious to alot of analysts that don't wanna hear it.

Kiper on top draft picks/Bears
Exactly, the no contact after the initial 5 yards is going to make it very hard to cover him. Yeah, they are going to try to bump him, but he's too strong and his hands are like magnets when it comes to catching the ball. He's also a fantastic toute runner. Him and Mushin would be killer. And Mike's game speed is much faster than his 40 time would suggest. He's the only sureshot superstar in this draft IMO.

JON GARLAND > KERRY WOOD
I have to agree with Y2HH. It gets on my damn nerves that after we beat a team we guys will chant "Cubs Still Suck!" or even down the ramp. Hell the Sox will be up in a game huge playing at the Cell and someone will start up a "Cubs Suck!" chant. It gets annoying. For once can't we start a chant that says, "Let's Go White Sox" or something with White Sox in it and not the Cubs??

Garland turned the corner?
QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 07:37 PM) I said I may have made the odd Judy comment but 99% of my posts have supported Garland. Funny you did not post any of those. S3RV3D!!!

Garland turned the corner?
QUOTE(sox-r-us @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 07:33 PM) Go check on my posts before. I dare you. Facts are I have always said we need to reduce our expectations for Jon. When we reach a point where he wants major $ and we think he is not worth it, then we could trade/dump him, but until then there is no downside to keeping him I may have made the odd Judy joke but I have always been in Jon's corner. aka I'm a bandwagon jumper and will continue to be one.

Garland turned the corner?
QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 07:29 PM) While I don't want to go back and look up all your posts, I doubt you were supporting Jon every step of the way... Nice call, Addy. Go Jon! Seriously, we're talking about the same guy who wanted to let go of Crede after a week and started making a bunch of panick threads. Sox-r-us, you are a jagbag.

JON GARLAND > KERRY WOOD
Hawk was just about a season late with his 20 game prediction. Anyway I was discussing this with this huge Cubs fan(a friend of mine) and he admitted it right away. Him and my brother are turning into Sox fans slowly, but surely.
