Bears Trade Rumor
I honestly don't want Edwards either. I think he's more of a potential guy while BMW is more of a safe pick and at worst, will be a #2 WR. He has his head on right by holding his own workout and losing weight and doing whatever he can to improve his stock. He's a TO type. By that I mean he'll go over the middle on a slant route and you could give him jump balls all day. Anyway, Alexander or Edge would be great. Depends on who wants less. Then you could draft Mike Williams or Derrick Johnson with that #4 or trade down with the Vikes who supposedly want to get in the top 3 for a WR and are willing to give up both picks.

Former NFL WR Tries to Overturn Decision
Bears need him. He's was pretty good from what I remember.

MLB.Com TV
^^Yeah, I tried that last year and it didn't work for me but supposedly worked for other. Basically what you do is go to stayinvisible.com and get a proxy(ip address) and copy and paste it in your internet connections>lan settings and check where it says connect through here or something like that.

MVP Baseball 2005
QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 10, 2005 -> 09:58 AM) What is your attendance like? As much as I want to keep the current roster, I can't afford them. Does anyone know how long you can go before you are forced to retire because you are out of money? 3 years. Trade the current Sox for nothing but prospects and pick up a guy in FA named James Allen I believe(it says J. Allen) and he's an OF. Develop him and then convert him to a 2B. He turns into a golden glover and silver slug hitter.

MLB.Com TV
I didn't have it in spring training last year, but if you are in a blackout area then the game should be archived within the hour of the end of the game.

ankiel converted to outfield
I agree it was stupid. He actually was looking good last year and if all went well, could've been the #2 pitcher on the staff. He looked like he had his stuff back last year and he showed some command. I would've liked to see him continue as a pitcher.

Yep. You may be able to buy one used from Gamestop. I'm not sure though.

Dee Brown
He in fact did win it. I don't think anyone else would deserve it.

3/8/05 Game thread vs. Colorado
These games don't worry me until 2 weeks from now when pitchers are actually going through the motions if stretching out the arm and actually throwing all their pitches. Right now, most pitchers are trying to throw 1 or 2 pitches or learn a new pitch so they could put it together with their arsenal.

Dee Brown
I'm also hearing from another message board that Bruce Weber won the coach of the year award.
-
Dee Brown
He was predicted to win it last year I believe and didn't do the job early on which is why he didn't last year. This year though I think he was the best statistically and also was the reason why we won some games. Congrats to you Dee Brown http://cbs.sportsline.com/collegebasketball/story/8268715 Also won defensive player of the year award in the Big Ten and made the All Big Ten team with Deron and Luther.

Borchard earns an extra $100
Go AJ. I love the guy's attitude. Hope Torrii tries to run into him.

Where do you get your White Sox Merchandise?
QUOTE(Beastly @ Mar 8, 2005 -> 12:51 PM) Good to see Be Good back for his short visit. I'm actually wanting a normal black Sox hat, but I don't know where to get em besides lids. I want it fitted, not a s***ty one...thoughts of a hat cheaper than 25.00??? I got mine from chicago sports and novelty in downtown. Got it for 21.00, but I doubt you'll find anything less for 20.00. It's the official hat, which reminds me I should go buy another one.

Harris the Super Sub
Im with you on this Chisoxfn. I think Willie will prove to be wayyyyyyyyy more useful than many think on this board.

Bears Sign Fred Miller
If that's the case the Bears should really try a trade with the Vikes. Williams, Johnson, or Edwards with the first, and Antrelle or Carlos Rodgers with the second pick. 2nd round could be Troy Williamson.
-
Bears Sign Fred Miller
I also think the Vikes will take Antrelle and end up getting Williamson or Parrish with their other picks(don't know how smart that second pick would be). Also Mel Kiper thinks the Bucs will take Caddy Williams with the 5th pick.

Bears Sign Fred Miller
Mel Kiper said he has the Bears taking Cedric Benson taken by the Bears with the 4th and that if he has a better workout than R. Brown, then they could flip-flop(either one is good for me). Here's his board as he sees it. 1)Alex Smith 2)Ronnie Brown 3)Aaron Rodgers 4)Cedric Benson 5)don't remember

Illinois fans, would you be disappointed?
I think you would have to. Look at the Flying Illini back in the late 80's. They weren't even undefeated, but when they loss against Michigan(a team they beat twice that year) it was dissapointing because it was one of those years they should've been there. I feel the same for this Illini team.

MVP Baseball 2005
QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Mar 4, 2005 -> 12:07 AM) Okay After reading this thread I remade the Sox... I bought every FA that was worth a damn then traded them away Starting Lineup RF- Carl Crawford 2b- Tadahito Uguchi, SS- Jose Reyes 1b- Mark Teixeira LF- Migeul Caberea CF- Aaron Rowand 3B- Dave McPhearson DH- Nick Swisher C- Joe Mauer SP 1. Jake Peavy 2. Oliver Perez 3. Carlos Zambrno 4. Rich Harden 5, Bradon Webb I think I honestly now have about 15 of the top 100 rookies on my team.. The Barons have 6 on their roster by them selves. Won the first game and made a 500K profit. BTW.. I took about 2-3 hours to perfect the roster, and get everything squared away. love ur rotation, u should win lots of games on that alone.....if there is a guy by the name of J Allen in FA, pick him up immediately and put him at 2nd base. He turned into a GG winner my first season putting him there(he's orginally a CF) and he's a great contact hitter. Also there's a CF prospect in the Expos organization(I think it's Jerry Owens) in 1A and he turns into a great all around hitter. I like your team though. You might not turn profit or much of it after the first season, but after the second season you should, so don't worry.

U.S. Celluar White Sox?
Yeah, honestly, I thought the Bears thing was going to be a big deal and it wasn't at all. This won't be either.

MVP Baseball 2005
if you have your budget on high, then that's pretty good. I have mine on medium, so I even traded Dye, Everett, Buehrle, Marte, and El Duque. Your team should do fine, I would suggest you do trade Dye for someone cheaper though.

MVP Baseball 2005
thats jus the nature of the game in terms of the bench time...as far as findin the stats for ur players at the end of the season you have to do that before you advance to the playoffs....jus go to team management and then go to pitching rotation and check the stats

MVP Baseball 2005
1) I charge 35 for lower deck and 25 for upper deck in my 3rd season 2)get young good prospects and cheap good players my pitching staff was Zambrano, Harden, Oliver Perez, Jerome Williams, and Edwin Jackson all who were young and inexpensive. Anyone making over 3 million will not be good for your team. Question - What do the ads do if you buy them?
