  1. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 11:19 AM) You are pretty much screwed. I believe the lemon law only applies to new cars. However, the fact that you have your extended warranty should cover you. I also should piont out that Jeep is notorious for having serious issues with there products. I know there will be people who will tell stories about there jeeps that have worked well, but in general, they build a very very poor product. The reason it is popular is because of the uniqueness and the Jeep Wrangler is a fantastic off-road vehicle. This.
  2. I would hope it isn't Buddy Bell or Joey Cora. I would still try to hire away Cito Gaston. As far as GM, take Billy Beane!
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) Gerry, you really think you're some pimp s*** when it comes to NBA, but this isn't exactly my first rodeo. Sorry you found my Andrew Bynum comment so hysterically bad a month or so ago, even though he's 22 and the entire league thinks highly of him. You also ignored his PER... he's a stud if he stays healthy. Anyway, I guess the moral of this rant is that you can slob my knob, son. This board doesn't like using PER if it doesn't follow their argument.
  4. Hawks need to play fast. Seems like they're going through the motions. Their speed kills especially since they got guys who are highly skilled with the puck.
  5. QUOTE (knightni @ May 28, 2010 -> 06:24 PM) He might if they gave him enough power. Negative. He still wouldn't do that.
  6. I want Ozzie gone only because he misuses guys a little too much. And he sticks to his lefty, righty matchup so strongly, he'll bench a better player. KW has always shown me he's willing to go after the big fish as well as the diamonds in the rough. He's an agressive GM and I love that about him. In the end though, neither will be gone next year. Maybe after next year if they are teh suck again.
  7. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 28, 2010 -> 03:21 PM) Well 5-7 miles would be what 40-45 blocks? If you started at Washington/State (0,0) you could basically walk North to Belmont and back, or all the way to Wrigley. Lake Shore Drive has a nice scenic walking path, but you could go up a street like Clark, Lincoln, etc. I dont know much about walking south. Or Englewood or Roseland. I heard there's alot of action down there.
  8. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ May 27, 2010 -> 05:35 PM) I don't know what he expects Jordan or Pippen to be doing. I'm sure they don't want to waste their time with jobs that tie them down all the time. They probably don't want to be coaching or anything like that. The bulls did bring Pippen back to end his career. Pip has been offered numerous jobs including assistant coach. He only wants one though and that's head coach. If he can't be that, he doesn't want to be tied to traveling.
  9. I hope he breaks his leg. This guy is the same one who can't stay loyal to his wife. And if LeBron joins him in Miami, is he calling LeBron disloyal? Please. He's being a little [expletive] about the whole thing. I understand he wants players to choose Miami, but there's no reason to trash your hometown. If you are, say something that is true. Say the FO is inept or idiotic. Saying the Bulls are disloyal is just flat out wrong. They're loyal to a fault. Hell, go ask Jay Williams how loyal we are.
  10. While the ending was satisfying for me, I agree that they left a lot of "important" stuff unanswered. Or they shifted the question, but it still remained a question. Either way, I won't let that ruin the show for me. Now would I ever watch it again knowing that I could've watched the first season and the last season and know the story? No.
  11. QUOTE (knightni @ May 26, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) Where they planned the Olympic Stadium. Bingo. Hopefully, it would've helped gentrify the neighborhood too. Either way, there's a reason why Soldier Field is the mistake by the lake. My 7 year old stepson even said it looks like a spaceship. They should've built a state of the art facility, with a retractable roof, brought the Super Bowl, Final Four, Big Ten Tourney, etc. and make money. Darn all those purists who didn't want to tear down the columns. Or they could've also converted one of the McCormick places into a stadium.
  12. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ May 25, 2010 -> 06:36 PM) Ed Farmer says that the Bulls aren't bringing Phil back. Heh. Well I'm shocked!
  13. Anyone got a scouting report on him?
  14. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ May 24, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) Count me in the group that was disappointed with the ending. They dick us around with the alternate universe the whole season and don't really explain it? Also why weren't Miles and Lapidus in the church? Obviously, they were on the same plane with Kate, Sawyer, and Claire. I was also disappointed that we didn't see Walt or Michael anywhere. EDIT: Richard wasn't at the church either. The alternate, apparently was purgatory. I still think the island was also purgatory allowing the alternate universe to exist. Popular opinion says that the island was real, and the alternate universe was purgatory. And they had to all meet up to remember the most important parts of their lives and enter together. Now Ana Lucia and Ben who had unfinished business decided to stay.
  15. Brown is a terrible coach. The problem with Orlando is that they Dwight needs to develop a post game and Matt Barnes should not be counted on as your tough player on the court. They could use a true enforcer like Nocioni and a true leader. Turk was a leader, but he was not an enforcer. And honestly, if they kept Turkoglu this year, they probably would've had a worse year. Even last year, he wasn't good until the 4th quarter in terms of efficiency. This year he was worse. And ask Toronto how much leadership he brought them. The key is always going to be Dwight though. Is he going to turn the corner and turn grimey or is he going to let other people bump him off the low block and/or throw up wild shots that are prayers? Tyson Chandler has a better offensive game.
  16. In that situation, ditch the taste Rex and head to Navy Pier. It's also, overall, a better place to be in my opinion. The food at the taste, while very good, is very overpriced.
  17. I'd say Oakland. Only because, when it seems like the team is ready to compete, they can never keep it together despite winning because of their low paroll requirements. It hurts also because the team can never add that "missing" piece to go from a decent contender to a championship contender. That would frustrate me more than having a team that flat out just sucks.
  18. There will be fireworks for sure on July 3rd. I believe Navy Pier and the Taste both have them. I would advise you go to to Navy Pier for fireworks nights. The past two years, there's been gang fights there. Two years ago specifically, someone just started shooting right in front of the fountain and fighting. It happened in front of Buckingham Fountain. Normally, there is no criminal activity there at all. It's just a matter of everyone wants to be there including gangbangers with their girlfriends, they see someone wearing the wrong color and violence erupts. If you don't go to Navy Pier, go to Millenium Park and watch them from the grass field there. Very nice place to be. Morton's is the only one I tried from that list. Fantastic!!!
  19. It's going to be Juliet. It's too predictable not to be. She was an important part up until this year and that's because she "died" on the island. We have seen people dead on the island exist in the other universe. Also, I don't think Ben succeeds in saving the island. Remember, the first episode, the island was sunk. It'll probably have something to do with the light. I'm guessing Locke finds the light and somehow causes it to somehow sink the island.
  20. For what the Bulls are looking for, I also agree that Henry should be the target. With that said, I think he doesn't last that far down. So next step would be James Anderson or Avery Bradley to me.
  21. Only interesting part was about Ibis trying to defend Oney because Ozzie bolted the premises. Either way, that's too much family there. Keep that poop at home.
  22. Honestly, I'm going to say this is a 74 win team. I don't know what's wrong with it. When one thing starts working, two other parts start failing.
  23. I forgot they drafted Tim Beckham. Honestly though, it was easy for them to suck because their attendance wasn't really affected either way. Once they got a good GM and their scouting department improved, they were bound for destiny. I wish the Sox could do this. Get some real superstars in there.
  24. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ May 18, 2010 -> 07:31 PM) That's kind of an odd statement from someone who just joined three days ago... Don't you think? in before IP check?
