  1. QUOTE (DirtySox @ Jul 27, 2010 -> 03:10 PM) Levine says to acquire Dunn it is going to take Hudson + one of Flowers/Morel/Bad Danks. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/mlb/news/story?id=5414243 I'd give up Hudson and D2 or Flowers. I don't forsee Flowers or D2 reaching their potential. Plus we have Mitchell as a backup OF. We need to find some catcher in Cuba somewhere to take over for when AJ retires.
  2. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 20, 2010 -> 11:03 AM) I honestly have no idea what I'd think if the Bulls signed Shaq. I'd lean towards being against it though because he looked so terrible in Cleveland last year, they were better when he wasn't on the floor. Agree and Disagree. The Cavs were better when he was off the floor, but that's due to two reasons. One is the Cavs love to push the ball because they cannot run any efficient halfcourt sets. The only thing they knew how to do was give the ball to LeBron and let him create by driving and getting to the FT. With Shaq, that's all they did as well when he was on the floor and they never really moved without the ball in the halfcourt. Shaq was still getting opposing centers in early foul trouble and he was still a decent option on the floor. I'd certainly thinking about bringing him in. Him and Boozer would flat out handle Bosh and whoever else you throw next to him.
  3. QUOTE (KipWellsFan @ Jun 28, 2010 -> 12:22 PM) What was that song that opened up the episode last night? It was pretty tight. Big Boi - Shutterbug (Produced by Scott Storch)
  4. Yeah, Upton is probably the most laziest player in the majors these days. Guy always has a bad attitude, even if he's in the wrong.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 27, 2010 -> 01:08 PM) I can name 3, maybe 4-5 people who deserve one. Problem is...I worry that teams will start overpaying once they miss out on the top 3. Lebron, Wade, Bosh guaranteed, Amare, Lee, Johnson, Nowitzki, Boozer LeBron Wade Bosh Amare Dirk Ming if he opts out Lee, Johnson, and Boozer won't get maxed out. Of the 3, Boozer has the best chance though.
  6. QUOTE (sircaffey @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 06:20 PM) Deng is going to play. That's not going to be an issue. The Bulls had to trade a 1st rd pick and $3 million just to get rid of Hinrich's much more absorb-able contract. The Bulls can't just drop Deng's contract for a 2nd rd pick. If they could have, I'm sure they would have. It's going to take talent and a lot of cash to get rid of it. The cost of trading Deng would be greater than the cost of keeping him. It's a big contract, but it's really not hindering the Bulls from doing what they want. Kirk Hinrich has been terrible for 3 years. I would LOVE for the Hinrich of 4 years ago to resurface, but at this point he's defensive specialist, and certainly not a good 6th man. The drop from him to a guy like Chris Duhon is negligible IMO. Deng is not much better, especially at his contract. Keep in mind, he's getting paid as much, if not more than Andre Iguodala and he's not better than him. He's a vastly overpaid player as a starter. When you're paid that much, you're either an all-star, or you have a huge impact on your team winning games. Deng really is neither. If you put him on the bench, he is Allan Houston bad. Deng should've been traded before Hinrich.
  7. BTW, anyone try mlb.tv on the PS3 this weekend? They gave a free preview. I'm shocked at how good the HD feed is on it.
  8. Microsoft wasn't a mess at E3. They just had a lot less to offer. Nintendo pulled out all the stops.

I've always been a fan of Science & Industry. They have their new storm exhibit up too.
  10. "When he and his wife fight, Oscar De La Hoya promotes it on PPV."
  11. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 05:43 PM) I don't care about his philosophy, i care about the results. The facts are that we haven't hit worth a damn since 2006, someone should take the fall for that. This.
  12. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 15, 2010 -> 11:19 AM) You are pretty much screwed. I believe the lemon law only applies to new cars. However, the fact that you have your extended warranty should cover you. I also should piont out that Jeep is notorious for having serious issues with there products. I know there will be people who will tell stories about there jeeps that have worked well, but in general, they build a very very poor product. The reason it is popular is because of the uniqueness and the Jeep Wrangler is a fantastic off-road vehicle. This.
  13. I would hope it isn't Buddy Bell or Joey Cora. I would still try to hire away Cito Gaston. As far as GM, take Billy Beane!
  14. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jun 8, 2010 -> 04:48 PM) Gerry, you really think you're some pimp s*** when it comes to NBA, but this isn't exactly my first rodeo. Sorry you found my Andrew Bynum comment so hysterically bad a month or so ago, even though he's 22 and the entire league thinks highly of him. You also ignored his PER... he's a stud if he stays healthy. Anyway, I guess the moral of this rant is that you can slob my knob, son. This board doesn't like using PER if it doesn't follow their argument.
  15. Hawks need to play fast. Seems like they're going through the motions. Their speed kills especially since they got guys who are highly skilled with the puck.
  16. Damn. Hawks didn't deserve to win that one.
  17. QUOTE (knightni @ May 28, 2010 -> 06:24 PM) He might if they gave him enough power. Negative. He still wouldn't do that.
  18. I want Ozzie gone only because he misuses guys a little too much. And he sticks to his lefty, righty matchup so strongly, he'll bench a better player. KW has always shown me he's willing to go after the big fish as well as the diamonds in the rough. He's an agressive GM and I love that about him. In the end though, neither will be gone next year. Maybe after next year if they are teh suck again.
  19. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 28, 2010 -> 03:21 PM) Well 5-7 miles would be what 40-45 blocks? If you started at Washington/State (0,0) you could basically walk North to Belmont and back, or all the way to Wrigley. Lake Shore Drive has a nice scenic walking path, but you could go up a street like Clark, Lincoln, etc. I dont know much about walking south. Or Englewood or Roseland. I heard there's alot of action down there.
  20. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ May 27, 2010 -> 05:35 PM) I don't know what he expects Jordan or Pippen to be doing. I'm sure they don't want to waste their time with jobs that tie them down all the time. They probably don't want to be coaching or anything like that. The bulls did bring Pippen back to end his career. Pip has been offered numerous jobs including assistant coach. He only wants one though and that's head coach. If he can't be that, he doesn't want to be tied to traveling.
  21. I hope he breaks his leg. This guy is the same one who can't stay loyal to his wife. And if LeBron joins him in Miami, is he calling LeBron disloyal? Please. He's being a little [expletive] about the whole thing. I understand he wants players to choose Miami, but there's no reason to trash your hometown. If you are, say something that is true. Say the FO is inept or idiotic. Saying the Bulls are disloyal is just flat out wrong. They're loyal to a fault. Hell, go ask Jay Williams how loyal we are.

While the ending was satisfying for me, I agree that they left a lot of "important" stuff unanswered. Or they shifted the question, but it still remained a question. Either way, I won't let that ruin the show for me. Now would I ever watch it again knowing that I could've watched the first season and the last season and know the story? No.
  23. QUOTE (knightni @ May 26, 2010 -> 04:41 PM) Where they planned the Olympic Stadium. Bingo. Hopefully, it would've helped gentrify the neighborhood too. Either way, there's a reason why Soldier Field is the mistake by the lake. My 7 year old stepson even said it looks like a spaceship. They should've built a state of the art facility, with a retractable roof, brought the Super Bowl, Final Four, Big Ten Tourney, etc. and make money. Darn all those purists who didn't want to tear down the columns. Or they could've also converted one of the McCormick places into a stadium.
  24. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ May 25, 2010 -> 06:36 PM) Ed Farmer says that the Bulls aren't bringing Phil back. Heh. Well I'm shocked!
  25. Anyone got a scouting report on him?
