  1. Just randomly thinking.... Hypothetically, lets say the Nets go 0-82 and don't get the first pick after the lottery drawing, do you change the system? I personally think the lottery is stupid, and yes I know the Bulls got Rose and this is somewhat sill for me to bring up. I've always felt the system is flawed and if a team has the worst record then they should get the first overall pick outright. Oth, the Bulls need a scorer or they won't go far in the playoffs "if" they make the playoffs.
  2. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Nov 24, 2009 -> 04:05 PM) Gary Kubiak is awful. With eight seconds left and a timeout, why didn't he try for more yards at the end, instead of settling for a 49-yard field goal, hardly a chip shot? And Steve Slaton averages over a yard more than Chris Brown, yet Brown gets twice as many carries. I know Slaton has had some fumbling problems, but that makes no sense. Yea, I didn't understand that either, why they didn't try for more yards when they had a TO left. I knew Brown would miss that FG, typical of him, just had a feeling he would. Looking forward to some Thanksgiving football even though there are no real good matchups. This game could be a trap for the Packers, Detroit will throw Stafford at them for the first time and without Harris and Kampman, things should be close. Regardless, this is a game they have to win.
  3. Already bought an HP laptop, my Dell did me good for 6.5 years but I continue to have more and more problems ever since the two times I reformatted it. Arriving Dec. 1st I'll probably hit up some of the movie deals on black Friday like usual. Thinking of upgrading to the Droid from my Krave too. Idk yet.
  4. Titans are starting to put things together. Kris Brown continues to miss clutch kicks, that is 2 games straight where the game should have went into OT. I like the Texans but this seems like another 8-8 year for them unfortunately.
  5. Man, after Schaub put up 16-17 points int he first half I had some high hopes but then there offense kept stalling. Had Kris Brown made that f***ing field goal I guess there was a slight chance he gets a passing TD in OT. Still in a 4 way tie for the 7 and 8 spots and I 2nd most points in the league. Good thing I play the worst team this week. First to clinch in Soxtalk btw Not too pleased with the lack of TDs I'm getting though.
  6. Solid win by Purdue over Tennessee Then again the Vols are ranked a bit too high imo.
  7. Hope you have 32 points in ya Matt Schaub. Have most points in my main league and I'm in a 4 way tie for the 7th and 8th playoff spots. Fortunately the teams I'm tied with lost. Win would be huge since my points give me leverage.
  8. Vick has kinda disappeared since the first quarter.
  9. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 22, 2009 -> 09:00 PM) I can't believe the Bears are in this game. They usually give the Eagles a fight, iirc they won the last so many outings on the last drive or outright.
  10. Ahh crap, Al Harris and Kampman's injuries might be season ending. Kampman isn't the biggest loss because he really hasn't been that effective in the 3-4 but losing Harris hurts. I thought Brad Jones replaced Kampan nicely last week. I do like Tramon Williams, not too excited about Jarret Bush getting more reps, he is god awful, get to see more Underwood. Wouldn't mind GB signing someone.
  11. Pretty sure Mcnabb threw that one to try and get interference. Receiver was never open.
  12. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Nov 22, 2009 -> 07:30 PM) They won it solely last year on the fact they had arguably the greatest defense in NFL history. This year the defense has taken a step back because Polomalu can't stay healthy, and the rest of the team weaknesses have come to the forefront. Very similar to the 2006 super bowl hangover. Steelers will be fine. They don't have a very tough schedule left, wildcard is definitely in reach. And lets keep in mind that they beat Denver head to head so really the Jaguars and Texans should be the main concern, they do both play each other too so that is pretty much an elimination match.
  13. Solid win for GB today, got a little too close for comfort towards the end though. Bring on Detroit.
  14. Done with school Nov. 23. (DePaul - Marketing Major) Bout time I only have one final too. I'm sure I'll miss it, excluding papers, tests and projects. Have a job at the moment but I am looking, have had four interviews last week and two this week. Not worried at all since I have some income coming in and no loans/debt.
  15. As a defensive replacement I don't mind him. Just hope he doesn't cost much.
  16. QUOTE (FlaSoxxJim @ Nov 10, 2009 -> 10:47 AM) I think it will grow on me with repeated listenings. The guitars obviously sound very QOTSA, and may lack enough variation and depth to make this album stand the test of time. But I think the songwriting is a little more varied and mature and the performance quite a bit more nuanced than my admittedly small sampling of QOTSA has revealed. I love the Them Crooked Vultures album personally. I needed to get used to it the first time but it is definitely a different sound than I am used to. Album has exceeded my expectations. Scumbag Blues Gunman Probably my favorites songs.
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 20, 2009 -> 09:39 AM) I kind of felt the same way. I liked it and than it took a turn that I didn't like and kind of lost me. Exactly.
  18. Anybody watch the cook county prison special last night on Discovery? Some pretty eye opening stuff.
  19. I liked the storyline and it was interesting but..... It was missing something, ended too early imo.
  20. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 17, 2009 -> 09:10 PM) D2, because he's playing if we don't get anyone else, and if he's in CF, Ozzie will lead him off. I want us to make a move... I wouldn't mind giving Jordan Danks a shot in the outfield. I feel we could use him just like we did with Alexei in his first year. Give him some starting opportunities and if he starts off slow maybe bench him or send him down to the minors for a bit. Possibly even hit him towards the bottom of the order so there isn't a whole lot of pressure on him. I wouldn't expect anything soon in terms of a deal. I feel given last year a bunch of players signed for fairly low deals in terms of money towards the end of the offseason, teams might wait to see if they can save their money. If we are looking at players like Halladay, Gonzo or anyone that is actively being traded then expecting something within the next 3-4 weeks would seem reasonable especially since Gonzo seems to be a hot commodity. Just takes patience lol.
  21. Geez, one year Westbrook kneels on the one and I lose. This week in one of my leagues MJD takes a knee and I lose. 4-6 with 2nd most points in my main league, wth.
  22. This will be a huge win. Puts Green Bay back in the wildcard hunt and a nice head to head win.
  23. McCarthy your a f***ing idiot. Who was the blind one that thought the TD was good on those camera angles? Clearly the ball was a yard short. Still don't know how that one fumble on the punt return was overturned. Good thing Dallas just wasted a timeout. 10-0!!!
  24. This is why instant replay can ruin sports. How can you overturn that call and legitimately say the ball didn't leave his fingertips? Joke.
  25. QUOTE (BigEdWalsh @ Nov 10, 2009 -> 10:34 AM) I can relate. I'm in 2 leagues, both of my teams lead their leagues in points scored and neither is in 1st place. In fact in a 10 team league one of them is in 9th f***ing place. Sometimes I think I should just give up on fantasy football. I have real sh*tty luck. Sometimes I wish Yahoo would use the power league option. Where you would play every team every week and obtain wins and losses depending on how many points your team scores a week as opposed to other managers. This however would eliminate the fun of smack talk and giving other managers crap like you would in individual matchups.
