QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 10:48 AM) Agree with everything you said. I'm perfectly fine with Trubisky. He seems to be learning and that is a good thing. He needs a boot camp to get his footwork corrected when under pressure but he was so much better against pressure this week then any previous week. Lions D isn't that good, but he actually had a pretty high completion rate under duress this week and he got rid of the ball much quicker at times. Helped that Kyle Long was back (outside of that awful penalty). Marcus Wheaton was actually open those two bad throws from Trubisky...would be nice to get a Wheaton sighting as he has talent (imo). Inman makes the receiving corps so much better (not that it says much). They at least have two wideouts who are NFL players now (not counting Wheaton who has not been able to stay on the field). Any updates on White...we should see him back to practice pretty quick (if he has a chance at getting out there). Shaheen actually got me excited...showed some solid hands and playmaking ability. Also saw him make a couple nice blocks. It did help that long was back. I'm not sure Grasu survives another year. We were noticeably worse on inside runs and tosses with Grasu in there.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 08:59 AM) Sigh. I gotta be honest - when you've taken tens of THOUSANDS of photos with people, the odds someone doesn't take something the wrong way is nonexistent. I think I'm getting desensitized. And that's not good. For me or this movement. Because I'm finding it hard to care about this one. Probably partially my bias, but also the idea that the average person with a social media account can now come out with a story about a political opponent and completely castrate them or cause them to resign, has me feeling uneasy about this whole thing. But your quote is saying this is an example of someone taking offense to something that is due to a misunderstanding. "Take something the wrong way". You are correct that I should not have demeaned your personal experience, but your thread seemed to be that something like this "happens" so it shouldn't be punished. But it should! And maybe we don't know the appropriate punishment for it yet (resignation), but that's only because people didn't feel it was worth talking about. That said I think he should resign. He has the opportunity to defend himself to frivelous claims, but his first defense was that it happened but he didn't think it was that bad.

I am pro this move by the way. I loved willie as a player, but I thought W-S should have done better with their talent. I do wonder now if they wanted to get Collins up with a different staff sooner than later. No position player was doing that well down there until Eloy came around, other than Mendick.

QUOTE (Reddy @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 10:59 AM) The f*** is this comment? Personal attacks still aren't allowed, kids. It was by audience members both while performing and after while taking photos. Why would that behavior be okay? I get that you may not deem it "worth" pursuing some audience member. But now imagine it was someone you admired and respected you and they treated you like trash? Those people should be thrown out of the venue and banned from the theatre. And you very well should have been given the option to pursue charges. Nothing about their ticket should allow assaulting a performer.
-
QUOTE (Reddy @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 10:32 AM) As a performer, I've had my ass grabbed by more women than I can count, and I've even been kissed a couple of times. Thoughts? What does "as a performer" mean. Like, while you were on stage performing? If you were at work and a coworker was grabbing your ass and kissing you against your will then yes that is wrong. But given your tendencies to welcome any interaction with those you perceive as "in industry", I'm guessing the moral of the story is you loved it.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 10:25 AM) Darnauld / Rosen still go top 5, imo. I am hoping one of the QB's is there when we are picking and we can move down to accumulate some picks. I really hope Floyd's injury is not as bad as it seemed. They'll go top 5, but after we picked Trubisky people were saying we should have waited and tanked this year because at that time this was considered a possible 2003 QB draft. They'll be drafted high because the best QBs always do, but I don't think people feel they are can't miss like they used to.
-
I haven't really paid attention to this but considering the two personalities pathological need to be in the news cycle it seems this may end up being a new cold war.
-
Source : Cardinals as previously reported by @jonmorosi made offer to Marlins for Stanton. That proposal Included prospects, among them hard throwing top hurler Sandy Alcantara via Craig Mish on twitter.
-
Crazy how this 2018 QB class went from can't miss to meh. If Bears are top 5 and the QBs stock for 2-3 is still high, they could do well to trade down and recoup. Looking forward to new coach. I think Pace hopefully is learning on job. But if I was fox I would be pissed over the kicker situation and the bargain basement hunting on cornerbacks. We wouldn't be a playoff team either year, but with a real kicker I could see 3-4 more wins on Fox's resume.

He's going to have an opportunity to defend himself, but his last attempt was "I'm sorry she took it this way" and that's not going to fly twice.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 09:16 AM) No, you are naive. This is not going to stop men, particularly old men that are no longer getting laid, from being perverts. It can remove the position that enables them to do it so freely.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 09:15 AM) Let's prepare for a never-ending parade of dips*** politicians being accused of touching women's asses now. Yes, let's.
-
QUOTE (iamshack @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 09:11 AM) Does it really need to be a national news story? Really? We all just figured out that men, particularly those with influence, are inherently dirtbags? No, this is so cynical. There is an opportunity here to actually change things. Your comment is so similar to the "So ALL cops are bad!? we get it" comments. If the people that take advantage of their power, for one, are held accountable for this behavior maybe it stops. But now that there are so many stories where people are putting their name on the line as accusers we hit a point where we just say "we get it, all men are bad, blah blah get over it". No, let the offenders face real consequences. Nothing was truly being solved by just paying out victims silently.

If Al Franken grabbed my wife's ass when she wanted to take a photo with him while he was visiting as part of being a senator (or anywhere, but let's keep that in mind), I think he should be publicly shamed and face repercussions. It's not acceptable. He wasn't elected so that he could force himself on whomever he wanted. He's a disgrace and should resign.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 20, 2017 -> 07:26 AM) Do they? I know they can sign him for that, but how much do they have left after trading away slot money three different signings and at least two signings of their own? I tried to do the math. We’ve only signed 2 players, traded 3 slots. Assuming the Mariners trade was about the others, we still have 2 mill or so left

I wonder what happens with Willie Harris

I’m not sure I agree with our philosophy of removing all of our playmakers in our two minute drill. But hey, I’m not John fox.
-
Another wide open completion. Can’t wait until he’s our head coach.
-
QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 19, 2017 -> 01:18 PM) Stafford is kind of good and very capable of shredding many defenses Pretty sure he hasn’t thrown to a contested receiver in 2 drives. JB Cooter is good at his job. Edit: it finally happened. Still a completion.
-
This is basically the offense they ran in preseason with trubs that they for some reason shelved. We are really good running out of shotgun but for some reason avoided it to ... I unno.
-
Fox should have challenged a trapped ball, luckily didn’t matter. Now he still has two to screw up
-
Hard to know what these guys are like in their private lives (er, though I guess we have some of Kopech a private life on camera), but from his media interviews and stories about Kopech going to other baseball games on off days to study the pitchers, he definitely seems committed to being best pitcher he can be.

Credit where credits due, Mizzou looked like worst team in country it’s first 4 games, played better but lost, then ripped off 5 straight and is going bowling. Very weak schedule, but again, they looked like worst team in country. Also nice because this looks like a brutal year for a team in mizzou’s tier to hire.

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Nov 18, 2017 -> 01:36 PM) A hard thrower lacking command reminds me of the issues with Matt Thornton when acquired from Seattle. Hopefully Mr Cooper can get through to this hombre You don’t even need to go back that far, we just did it with Kahnle. Hasn’t always worked though, Massett and Aardsma were misses.

Especially Venezuela right now where hiding money is part of the game.
