I had wanted to get moviepass based on this thread but I realized it's not for me when I've tried to go see Thor for 2 weeks (actually tried) and haven't been able to work it out with sitters in time. Really want to see Ladybird and Thor. Guess I can talk about them with you all in a few years.

I wonder about that. I feel like they consult cooper for ML guys, but after we acquired Lopez/Giolito it was clear cooper hadn't watched much on them. I wonder if he's brought in on the minor league guys or if it's left to the scouts.

I am not sure I could disagree more. White collar crime like bribery can cause just as much societal damage, either it be through distrust of institutions or in some cases schemes that end up in death like Ryan, but get viewed as harmless since they weren't holding guns to peoples heads. They deserve the same punishment. They were given power, they knew better, they took advantage. They don't deserve a soft landing. Should those accused of cyber crimes just get house arrest?

Are we aware of how much money we have left? We had 2 300k signings (I believe). 4.75 million-600k = 4.15 million 4.15 million - 500k = 3.65 million Say the other two were 500k, then were still ~2.5, so yes we can make quite a few more.

On twitter, the prospect guys are loving this trade for white sox which is nice to hear. His k rate is surprisingly low to me for this kind of arsenal, but I'm so excited for our pitching coordinators and Cooper to work with him. This guy could be Kahnle 2.0, and was in AAA last year so may be on our bullpen this year.

Nice move. As others, I don't expect us to compete for Otani, so taking advantage of that market in this way is nice to see. Burr and now Vieria are the types of players I like seeing added.

It's funny but I think we overrate how much these players are interested in money, they want to play with the best in the world and know they'll get paid well if not maximum amount, to do so.

Then they send him back again into that system. He's not in that class anymore, he's had 2-3 years in professional instruction and teams have been able to scout on same playing field. He should be a FA.
