  1. I forgot about Sands. What are we thinking then? - Sanchez - Avila/navarro (whoever doesn't start - Shuck - Sands - ...L Garcia?
  2. Thanks, very necessary correction. I'm sure many were confused.
  3. I'd be fine with Ethier. Means Melky would likely stay in left for 2 full years, though. I'd imagine we'd move Ethier to DH after LaRoche.
  4. So we have been following a race for 9 months and today is only the first freaking primary.
  5. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Jan 30, 2016 -> 07:14 AM) I don't think he's the odd man out in LA. I think they end up moving Guerrero this spring. I don't think LA has a concept of odd man out. I think they'll just hoard everyone.
  6. I just don't agree with the" couldn't have done anything! Gordon/Cespy wanted to stay mets!" as if they signed some 3 year 36 million dollar deal. Does anyone feel they were underpaid? They took the contract that set them up best, or in Gordons case, they likely took a close enough to stay home.
  7. I think you are close to convincing Greg.
  8. Marcus Sem-ian desmond jennings
  9. How in the hell could you be a libertarian and vote for Bloomberg.
  10. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jan 29, 2016 -> 10:44 AM) This would be great. What kept Jennings out most of last year? This would be a great buy-low candidate for the Sox, imo. Keeps injuring his left knee. Not a great injury, but as you said, if you get him cheap.
  11. Guys, you are missing the clear Jennings for Jennings swap for max confusion.
  12. I bought it for my wife today.
  13. QUOTE (raBBit @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 04:19 PM) Rick Hahn personally loves Cleto as a pitcher. To be clear, I am not saying he thinks he's going to be Stephen Strasburg, but I've heard Hahn admit he's always been very bullish on him. Brad Penny level love?
  14. I have multiple sonos, so I guess the answer is no.
  15. Good. I let Cleto go in OOTP and he became a STARTER witha 1.7 era for the cubs. /everybody cares. Cleto is a nice insurance policy for massive bullpen injuries. You can do a lot worse.
  16. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 11:47 AM) That's true. Cruz and Trump might end up splitting EV's, but I can't imagine what states Bloomberg would pull enough votes from Hillary to cause her to lose. Bloomberg is a fraud. Under scrutiny, after he moves from "the idea of a third party candidate" to "actual candidate" his base falls out. People just like to say they are independents.
  17. QUOTE (shysocks @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 11:45 AM) Thanks. His name is hard to type. =( BTW I did not know you mispelled it, I just threw it on at the end. I really did like your post. The thing that kills me is at a high level trading Trayce Thompson to the Dodgers and then getting back Ethier just really seems like the operations of a not savvy front office.
  18. This is getting really bad. El Salvador has told their woman population not to get pregnant for two years. Brazil 9 months. Brazilian infrastructure should be decent to handle this but it's just a terrible disease. http://www.bbc.com/news/health-35427493
  19. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 11:03 AM) I guess if it led to the abolition of the EC, that'd at least be something positive. Otherwise, it'd probably just mean the Republican Congress chooses the Republican candidate for President, just like the Republican SCOTUS chose the Republican candidate in 2000. Wouldn't exactly scream "beacon of representative democracy." Yes. I don't know why we are talking about this though, "brokered convention" and "leads way to a third party candidate" are the most overdone election tropes that come out and never happen.
  20. Hey OP, that was a great post. I don't really want to go with either...or ETHIER
  21. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 11:15 AM) If we take on the entire salary, the Dodgers should give us prospects. Yeah, but LA doesn't care about money.
