  1. I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't an increase. I think it's always more noticeable when it's a rash of skill players vs. trench bodies. This year just seems to be a run of WR/QB injuries.
  2. QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ Oct 13, 2015 -> 08:01 AM) To be fair, he had worked for teams in the past. I always got the impression that the writing was something to do until the next team came along. Not to say it wasn't high quality--it was really good and I enjoyed it a lot. Probably because of his name I always thought he was like 25.
  3. Bartolo has always been the best at deploying that high inside fastball
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 09:18 PM) Bobby Portis may not win ROTY but he'll be in the conversation. And if I'm wrong, just ignore this. He would need an injury. He's really solid at the little things though. I think he's a future piece for sure.
  5. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 07:55 PM) Or we'll hear pundits say next season, "this is the weakest collection of international prospects we've ever witnessed" too true
  6. QUOTE (BigHurt3515 @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 08:12 PM) He didn't even use steroids. Something in a supplement he wasn't suppose to take, didn't ask team doctors and now he has to pay the price. LOL
  7. The Ole Ball Coach is retiring per twitter. No idea effective when. That program certainly declined last 2 years, but man, college football is not going to be as fun without Spurrier. His press conferences were hilarious performance art. Sorry to see what happens to the hatin ass spurrier columns.
  8. Was there a good interview about why price was used?
  9. I have never noticed that either. Maybe it's just that this is the first time you've stopped at a stop sign and are noticing what happens when cars decelerate?
  10. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 07:45 PM) Rizzo, Bryant, Schwarber, Castro, Soler all contributed. One day someone will say the same of Abreu, Olt, Flowers, Saladino, Thompson............ Better to focus on the mets success than the cubs if you are a sox fan. Kills me that the cubs signed martinez though. I am already prepping myself for disappointment when we only spend the limit on int'l players next year. ("But we'll really clean up in 2017!!!")
  11. Wow, cubs got something special brewing. Power definitely is winning the day.
  12. Congrats to him, must be a crazy feeling to cover something and then go into affect it.
  13. QUOTE (danman31 @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 06:10 PM) This seriously couldn't have happened two days ago? Eh, wouldn't have mattered. This senior offensive line is brutal. But I really think 2017 is going to be a 2007
  14. I would guess it's about the same but you have runs of bad luck. I would not be surprised if Bears do well next year and it coincides with a suddenly healthy team. 2013 was brutal dline injuries, 2014 was fairly healthy but slausson hurt to lose. This year its fairly democratic.
  15. Rooting for the Jays. Honestly at this point it looks like the power heavy teams (yankees aside) have done well in the playoffs. It's so hard to string together multiple hits in playoffs, those solo home runs are such nice pads. Like when Crede kept us in those games with his solo hrs.
  16. I can't imagine looking at Jeff Fisher and wanting him at this point. Especially at USC which just seems to be a bit flashier. I could see Jeff Fisher at like, Iowa. I'm already bored thinking about his USC tenure and it hasn't started.
  17. Yeah, just tired of seeing these injuries every week.
  18. J. Rodgers moves to season-ending IR. Sigh.
  19. First off: After more came out about what a psycho barnes is and everything, I feel bad for laughing at the first story I linked above. Dude sounds like he is probably a chaotic terror to a whole bunch of people. I hope if he does not see jail for this that he gets help. Secondly: I was so pumped last preseason for the Rose factor. Now, I just haven't had much care to watch. Seems like we are jakcing up 3s and going for more possessions. We'll see. We've also been sitting a lot of our starters...which, what a novelty.
  20. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 12, 2015 -> 12:02 PM) Sarkisian coming to practice and games drunk is just crazy, and even crazier that it got to the point that the PLAYERS had to say something. Why isnt his staff going to Haden and talking about what is going on? It's just a terrible situation for all involved. But I agree. If the players/coaches were noticing this, crazy no one above had. I'll reserve judgment on his fellow coaches. That's a tough situation to handle when you are in a lower position.
