Bonifacio DFA
I thought Bonifacio was a great signing. I didn't know much about LaRoche, but, again, It's getting ridiculous to me how much our FA signings failed. During the 13/14 rebuilding, you had several lottery ticket FA signings you'd hope you could flip. No, none worked out. The one who was close (Crain) got injured right before selling. Our solid, stable veteran FA acquisitions seem to not just be off-norms, but actively having some of the worst offensive years in history. If this is just bad luck, Sox seem to be having a lot of it. More specifically, Hahn seems to be having a lot of it. But these are really adding up.

2015 Films thread
I hated the Kingsmen, I thought it was disgusting. Seems to be a big divide on that movie with love/hate. The violence in that church seen was gross to me, but I can't necessarily tell you why it was worse than something like Kill Bill which I could watch and be much affected by it.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Aug 17, 2015 -> 11:47 AM) So ESPN has jumped right back on that Tebow wagon FULL STEAM AHEAD! Hey everyone, look at what this (maybe) third stringer did against guys who will be selling insurance in 2 weeks! A former Heisman scored a touchdown in meaningless preseason garbage time, LETS PUMP IT UP!!! Honestly though, if the Eagles do plan on going for 2pts more because of new XPT rules, he is probably one of the better QBs you could get for 1 play at the 2 yard line.

Pretty sure people are able to enjoy having LeBron as a heel on the basketball court and appreciate he's a good human off of it. I'm sure Karl Malone and Reggie Miller were nice too.

While I understand that teams don't have to disclose injuries right now, it did piss me off between Kevin Whites "I don't have a stress fracture!" and the things Fox would say in camp like "You guys are acting like we are holding back some terrible injury from you, it's day to day"...well you ... were. You can hold back injury info in a way that's less disrespectful.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 17, 2015 -> 09:46 AM) While I agree with you, the Devil's Advocate reply is....are you ready to give Samardzija a ~$7 million raise from this year? For a one-year deal? yes. It's obviously worth it to try and get comp pick.

2015 TV Thread
QUOTE (chw42 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 01:13 PM) This is what good shows do to people. We're unsure of what's actually happening, just like Elliot. Sometimes the cartoonishly over the top good guy vs bad guy, capitalism vs. whatever things would annoy me on the show, but I can't believe how well they pulled off the OMG this reality is actually not real some of this is in his head moments in the last episode. We all knew something like this was going on. Credit the small things like always making everyone say evil corp for reinforcing that we have an unreliable narrator even when he's offscreen.

Bears wouldn't have been only team who had medicals at combine, if that was the case I imagine that would have leaked.

Sox Looking at Upton
QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Aug 15, 2015 -> 08:33 AM) The only guy I'd give up a draft pick for is Heyward. We'd also have to move LaRoche or release him and eat the money moving Melky and Garcia into left field/DH combo. Heyward would greatly improve the defense and is only 26. I'd enjoy Gordon

If Smarj would accept a QO you should do it.

At the very least, a good sign was that Sutton and Ferguson did not look like wasted talent in the 3-4 five tech.

The Bears really need like 10 draft picks next few years. Would be lovely if some of these 1 year deals hit if only to have them walk and have the randomizer assign comp picks to bears.

Chris Tannehill/Score trying to make Harrelson look bad...?
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 01:06 PM) Scully is terrible now? Umm alright. Cubs booth far superior to Sox booth too. No, it isn't, as I stated, they are terrible.

Chris Tannehill/Score trying to make Harrelson look bad...?
I realize I have different tastes than everyone else as I am one of the few supporters of Farmer/DJ, but enough with the love of other broadcasting booths, especially "professional" ones. They are all terrible. Kasper reading acronym stats for 3 hours? Terrible. Scully? Terrible. They are all just filling the void of providing some distracting noise to prevent us from our terrifying thoughts as we watch baseball. Your opinions are stupid.

QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Aug 14, 2015 -> 10:51 AM) I don't mean McPhee. Also, I said fat linemen, not fat linebackers. I'm talking about LaMarr Houston, Willie Young, and David Bass. McPhee in a 4-3 would certainly be a DE, not an OLB. The bolded didn't even play last night, so I don't know why you are crapping over the personnel or scheme yet.
