  1. It doesn't matter if Reed sucks now. He had perceived value at the time, if we used that for a player who didn't pan out, it was a miss. And we just don't have the farm system to prop up misses yet.
  2. Trading draft picks to draft Mariota sounds like the stupid Bears thing to do to continue to set bears back. We need to trade down, we need to stop trading away picks and start collecting them.
  3. Steph Curry had ankle issues that would never get solved until they did. Injuries are a fickle thing.
  4. QUOTE (raBBit @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 07:44 PM) Scary part is that this team needs to him to breakout baaaaad. I think everyone can agree on the fact that he is the biggest wild card of the offense and it's not even close. If Avi goes .270/.330/.440 were in a lot better shape moving forward. Oh, and if his defense doesn't suck again. Totally agree. If Avi busts, only Eaton of the MLB-ready position players we spent a lot to acquire worked out.
  5. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 06:11 PM) I think he's better than Dalton but we could argue that different ways. He certainly can make more throws than Andy but both have their flaws as well. If I were a team that has invested in the draft at QB and continually failed, I might just prefer getting someone like Jay who is at least average (and obviously has the tools that will at least tantalize you to say there might be some upside). Jay can't really make an argument for being better than anyone. But, they both throw good deep balls, and both fold with the hint of any pressure. At least dalton hangs onto the ball though.
  6. Man if you read only grantland you'd think the most interesting teams in the league are the 76ers and Lakers.
  7. Did Kane say whether he was trying to make a pass, or was just going to throw it against all of them?
  8. I think Gruden could do okay with Cutler. He's similar to Dalton, and Dalton was pretty good under him.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Dec 17, 2014 -> 04:45 AM) Torn ACL for Jabari Ugh...awful
  10. Does Tom Crean have some NFLconnections I don't know about?
  11. No I don't. And people view Sox championship with an asterisk because of AJ and the rest of the league must have been terrible because White Sox won. If you are looking for legitimacy, you shouldn't have chosen the White Sox.
  12. Oh we'd get live humans in return? That would be nice.
  13. I would definitely put Micker in the group who could struggle this year without raising red flags. I kind of wanted to identify how we were in a crucial year in the minors for the first wave of talent the sox collected, and also figure out which prospects we can afford to have fail and which would hurt our future plans.
  14. Meatheads on Bears blog calling for Rex Ryan. You know, because he's the son of our last superbowl DC. As Bears fans know, you always want to put the family of any legendary bears coach/player in charge. Always works out.
  15. I have to see, even the pessimistic projection from Jake seems to think we are at about 78-82 wins. That means with 2 wildcard teams we will at least be in the hunt for a while. Meaningful baseball is fun baseball. (actually that's not true, it's nervewrecking and infuriating to lose, but at least it's baseball you watch).
  16. and obviously Brad Penny. He should have showed up in that sleeveless tee with his sled.
  17. I wish Duke and LaRoche could have been there. Would have really driven home point in images for casual fans.
  18. Damn, Samardjiza is killing it. Love his answers so far to such dumb questions.
