  1. I want them to go big and expensive.
  2. To be fair, I don't think the appeal of Shanahan to McCaskey is the Cutler connection.
  3. People are driving less and less, clearly key to sox future is to ignore that trend and buy in the suburbs. Known by all for interesting nightlife and transportation convenience.
  4. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 29, 2014 -> 10:24 AM) No it won't. This is just another failure of this organization. Another terrible hire, another terrible signing. Add them to the list. At some point they're all forgotten. Eh, every head coach in my lifetime at least made it to the playoffs in their tenure. This was a huge failure.
  5. I'm home today and a bit bored, and am watching Kap and Haugh. Desperate times. I'll say Haugh ain't bad. I'd go after Chase Daniel. Mainly because Mizzou. What could go wrong? Oh, Gabbert.
  6. I can't believe demitrioff survived. Smith was bad at clock management, but they had a baaddd offensive and defensive line, and injuries all through linebackers and dbs. But if you hire mike tide you deserve to be fired.
  7. The key here is it wasn't just a football failure. The locker room and players interactions with the media were out of control. Fans not showing up in droves. I think it scared the mccaskeys, in order for them to remain perpetually rich hey need to at least appear to have all in order.
  8. I won't look back as angry at Phil Emerys talent acquisitions, but he hitched his career on Cutler and Trestman. You don't get another chance after this year.
  9. Lol why did I ever worry.
  10. Stupid Vikings. Could have iced game.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 24, 2014 -> 09:52 AM) I have worked for companies that have more computers hooked to the internet than all of North Korea does. Someone told me they only have like 140 IP addresses
  12. QUOTE (Brian @ Dec 26, 2014 -> 10:28 AM) Cowley was wrong? What?? Funny how the Rose snark has subsided the last 12 games no?
  13. Every team I west is scary. Would you take Bulls in seven game series vs Blazers? They are usually kryptonite. I'm just gonna enjoy. Last few years the entertainment was how this team could overcome everything to win each night. Now it is just great basketball. Their pace is so much more fun. Last year Noah was our 2nd best offensive player. Now he's at least our sixth, taj has certainly surpassed him now.
  14. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Dec 26, 2014 -> 09:45 AM) I think his rebounding has surprised me the most. Everything i read about him prior to this season was "soft, euro-style defense and rebounding". It has been anything but, he gets down and dirty and uses his size very well. He isnt perfect, but he is really fun to watch Everything his first week "confirmed" that. Remember first preseason game when Friedell was tweeting that Niko was raw as hell?
  15. Maybe, some may be happy to see Tristan Thompson get bigger role.
  16. QUOTE (Jake @ Dec 24, 2014 -> 11:21 AM) Will Aaron Brooks be the first tiny, offense-oriented backup PG to return the next season after playing well? I hope. That was some Dr. j stuff last night. Funny to fall in love with these dudes every year. I think Nate was still my favorite though.
  17. And I still think his hammy is bothering him. I haven't seen his warp speed moments as much as the first week. So much more fun watching the leagues top PGs against us when we aren't throwing Kirk at them.
  18. I will say it's funny how enjoyable it is having a team of crafty players. By crafty I mean strategic...um...falling and flailing and bumping into bodies. Whatever it takes to win, man.
  19. 5% and 4.7% GDP growth in 2 and 3, let's see how much cheap oil helps in q4 and lets see some wage growth.
  20. What exactly gives this person any expertise?
  21. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Dec 23, 2014 -> 04:53 PM) ? I thought the Bulls beat guys last night were saying that this is the new record? I think 51 would be the new league record. They broke the bulls record.
  22. QUOTE (LDF @ Dec 23, 2014 -> 01:23 AM) there isn't really a need to defend bmags, he did nothing better or worst than the avg sportwriter who writes and make up these top prospects list. bmags, i appreciate what you wrote and i like it. it gives a good preview of what to expect. Just, for the last time and for anyone else that skimmed, what this post was explicitly NOT doing was saying that was our 2017 roster. It was examining the MLB-ready talent we acquired in our vet dumpoffs in 2013 and wave of draft talent since we began re-emphasizing our scouting. I'm just fascinated by how important this year is for the white sox at the major league and minor league level.
