QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Nov 25, 2014 -> 04:27 PM) Furthermore, just as an example, I have many times heard frat boys, especially at parties, referred to as animals. Um... Animal House? And sometimes it is pretty accurate. Other times maybe not. Just pointing out another scenario where the term comes up often. As they are calling the fraternity animals are they advocating the arms of the state act against them?

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Nov 25, 2014 -> 04:25 PM) It is not remotely believable that Brown kept charging at Wilson, only getting stronger with each bullet that hit him. Well that's what weed does to you.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Nov 25, 2014 -> 04:22 PM) No, it's me thinking you guys are so full of your white guilt/police hate/gun hate that you can't believe a guy when he describes the fear he saw that day. Like it's not even remotely believable. As if you've been in a similar situation before. Oh I believe the white police officer was very scared of the unarmed black man, that's not the issue.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 25, 2014 -> 04:20 PM) I can take you to the martyrs graves in forest park for the haymarket rioters that were killed. I don't understand what your stance is on the haymarket riots. It seems like a pretty textbook example of a subverted protest.
  5. Missouri lost by only 19 to Arizona and I was pleased by that.

I don't give a f*** about riots anymore. All these days leading up, and gun sales skyrocketing of the local rich white populace thinking they were going to get dragged out of their homes and beaten, and basically some 7-11s get torched by a crowd and "SEE! ANIMALS!". And are we really complaining about the f***ing haymarket riots? Jesus Christ. I hope you people watch the hunger games and go "why! WHY WOULD YOU TURN TO VIOLENCE"
  7. QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ Nov 25, 2014 -> 05:18 AM) Why is Snell on the floor at all during the 4th of a non-blowout? Hinrich / Taj injured. Would you prefer Brooks or Moore?
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Nov 25, 2014 -> 05:04 AM) Bulls are getting destroyed by the refs again. Wtf Yeah, I feel this way too. Maybe being a homer but west coast trip has been bulls***
  9. I enjoyed zlowe's writeup today. You kind of forget to sit back and go "wow" at the fact that this is the first time in basically 50 years that the Lakers are 1) really bad and 2) have no real hope in sight. You can say "x will probably sign there" and that may be true, but I doubt Durant, if he leaves, goes anywhere but Washington. I don't see who their savior is in the FA market. They really needed to hid on Randle and that foot injury just kills them for sending a message of resurgence.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 24, 2014 -> 04:13 AM) The Bears D played well enough to beat Miami and Buffalo. Yeah well enough but they've won NYJ, MN and TB. Would have won despite bad offense.
  11. The Bears defense has now won three games. Waiting for the offense to get to two.
  12. I'm getting scared Bears may get to 8-8 and what that means.
  13. I just really can't believe how much advocacy there is for Ethier /Kemp. Sox fans, two years removed from celebrating the removal of bloated veteran contracts are falling over themselves to add on bloated veteran contracts for actual valuable veteran contracts.
  14. Hysterical to me watching the offense get nine yards on first down, then losing yards next two downs. Oh sweet now another drop.
  15. Pretty sure I did not advocate rotating below average hitters in the DH, I acknowledged the cost in my post.
  16. He just needs to stay healthy. If he plays 75 plus games and playoffs I think he wins. People don't remember what a dominant big man is like. There's a novelty there.
  17. I will say I'm just somewhat disappointed in that it seemed like this would be beginning of a new team strategy for using our position players. For first time since forever, the possibility that our DH could be switched among 11/12 position players could have happened rather than just having two 1B. In all likelihood finding a LH non 1b for this would have been extremely expensive. But, just feeling a bit of "more of this then, eh?"
  18. That picture off center with a player right on the thirty five does not convince me, sorry.
  19. I mean 1) they were correct calls and 2) it took incredible luck of two missed xp to get to that point. Mizzou dominated. Should not have been close.
  20. QUOTE (SoCalSox @ Nov 23, 2014 -> 02:14 AM) Spotrac had us at just a touch under $51M after the "dead money" of Kep, etc w/o LaRoche. Right now, the Sox have 7 roster spots filled as of right now w/ LaRoche & Duke, so that would be 18 left to fill, so let's say they use 3 spaces via FA, that leaves them with 15 spots to fill which if you times that by $.600M (to be safe vs $.500) you have a total of $9M (forgot to fill LaRoche's spot originally). So if they had $51M accounted for, plus $12.5M via LaRoche and $9M of "the rest of the roster minus 3 FA's", that's a total of $72.5M. Give or take a few mill from ARB, they will be sitting at around $75-77M (b/c I don't see them keeping Viciedo). What about Duke
  21. QUOTE (Jake @ Nov 22, 2014 -> 06:30 AM) I'd like to throw the Blazers a second rounder to get Meyers Leonard. I'd like to see what he could do under a coach like Thibs You are only person in world who'd want that b****face on their team.
  22. It is 12 games in Caulfield chill out.
  23. Duck the refs twice now. Mirotic getting fouled like crazy and nothing.
  24. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 22, 2014 -> 04:07 AM) I don't watch much NBA at all, but IMO Mirotic has some major potential. It seems like he has the natural basketball talent, just can he learn how to play the NBA game. His confidence has exploded last few games. Just need his fouls to get under control.
  25. Bulls fans talking s*** as they are getting smoked. Classic.
