  1. That's like every last dime so yeah.
  2. He took all of it.
  3. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Jul 10, 2014 -> 02:42 AM) I get they have to guarantee a percentage, but that's a crazy high floor and there are other ways to do it. Like I said, you can compensate by relaxing the crazy luxury tax penalties a bit or raising the luxury tax line so the teams that can spend/want to spend can go a bit higher. I'm sure there's other more clever ways to compensate as well. Even a $45 million floor would result in a lot of saved money for crappy teams, then they wouldn't need as much in revenue sharing money to stay viable. There's also already an escrow system set up for that purpose, they take a chunk of the player's paychecks and then distribute it as necessary at the end of the year. Most teams are at the cap once the year starts anyways, it just seems a bit goofy to me and would bother me if I were a team like the Sixers right now. But this wouldn't accomplish the goal of all major leagues to punish successful franchises and prop up weak ones.
  4. QUOTE (soxfan49 @ Jul 10, 2014 -> 12:42 AM) If the cap goes up to $74m by '15-'16 and the Hawks make no big moves, their big 6 will consist of 57% of their team in terms of money. This year, it was 54%. I'm not worried. Excellent.
  5. Not sure $15 million is gonna get you Bosh, considering it doesn't even get you Parsons. Maybe we can beg Bosh to ask for S&T. That works well.
  6. WHOA Mavs and Chandler Parsons prepped to sign agreement for 3 year $45 million! Holy crap!
  7. Missouri just hired Illinois Oline coach AJ Ricker. Thoughts?
  8. Trade gibson for #8 pick. Use 2 first rounders to trade up from 8 to 6 for Julius Randle. Amnesty boozer. Trade MDJ Rose/Butler/Melo/Randle/Noah Nba2k15 ftw.
  9. Just in case anyone was wondering, Cowley is just as big of a hack as the bulls beat writer as he was with the sox.
  10. I can't wait until 2018 when we get a shot at Jabari!
  11. So how angry will everyone be when we decide not to amnesty boozer?
  12. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 09:13 PM) Other than the Nets and Andrei Kirlenko, I wonder if a team has ever tried paying a player by laundering them money. Timberwolves with Joe Smith right?
  13. Per @NBA: Salary cap for 2014-15 season jumps to $63.065 million. Tax level is $76.829 million. Minimum team salary is $56.759 million I did not realize the salary floor was so close to the salary cap.
  14. Nobody should be rooting for Kyrie/Lebron/Love that wants bulls to win a championship in next 4 years.
  15. Hysterical to me that Bulls were not even top 2.
  16. LOL even the good news is bad news: Ramona Shelburne ✔ @ramonashelburne Follow Carmelo Anthony's agent Leon Rose tells ESPN that "he hasn't made a decision yet" on Knicks/Lakers.
  17. I really thought when Mavs traded Tyson Chandler it was set in stone he was leaving. Then every day after that things started looking worse.
  18. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 08:15 PM) If The Decision 2010 is any indication, the choice is always what nobody expects LBJ and Melo to LA! There were people leaking james to MIA that whole day, we just chose not to believe them.
  19. Hopefully Isola was catfished.
  20. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 08:07 PM) I think it's a pretty clear sign that Melo is fine trying it for a couple years and if he doesn't like it or Phil doesn't get the FA's he wants, he'll whine his way out of town like he did in Denver. Yeah, just strange because any contract would be people paying for the year 30 and year 31 seasons. Now it will be him in decline for 32-onward. Also...didn't he want free agency so he could go to a team that wouldn't have to gut themselves for him?
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 09:03 PM) The Daily News is a tabloid and that reporter is the Knicks beats guy. So i would expect a non-commital pro-Knicks article like that from him. Funny how Frank Isola's pro-bulls possibility articles have been linked up like gospel but as soon as he gets a source, and woj retweet, he's discredited.
  22. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 09:00 PM) Interesting: Yeah, I have no idea what the hell this means.
  23. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 9, 2014 -> 08:57 PM) 1. Denial 2. Anger 3. Bargaining 4. Depression 5. Acceptance
