Would anyone else prefer Tekotte to Sierra?
  7. I'm getting really pumped. I'm hoping this is first year with Emery that I know first round pick.
  8. Scenario- Hoffman's last two starts are dynamite and sox take him at 3. Do you think they could pull off signing him for less because of injury concerns?
  9. The thing about jump shooting teams is they seem impossible to beat when they are on, as Washington is, but then they get cold. NeNe has to be hitting like 70% of his 12 ft jumpers. That's insane.
  10. This game sucks.
  11. Sexy comeback by Webb.
  12. This game man.
  13. I like how downs damn near walked right into the dugout after that.
  14. I hate this offense without Eaton.
  15. Anytime you can take out your best hitter for a guy hitting .027 you do it.
  16. Another excellent AB.
  17. How was that a strike.
  18. Man that tingle you get when you get to watch Gordon Beckham hit.
  19. Oof Beckham had a pitch to hit there
  20. ugh, I knew this was going to happen. Nobody is going to talk me down from the ledge on this. We are going to keep getting "good reports" but a delayed time table and then suddenly we'll see "Sale out for season, getting surgery"
  21. Angel Olsen at Lincoln Hall last night was great. Kinda weird though, it was so quiet with everyone fixating on her insane voice that you could hear lots of lipsmacking from the youngandinlove.
  22. Me being sleepy is the end of my world.
  23. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ May 5, 2014 -> 04:51 PM) What has turned me off from watching the draft more than anything is the five minutes from the time the team makes a pick to the time it is announced, so that the networks can get in commercials and the talking heads can get through all of their material on the last pick. If they announced all picks within a minute of the actual pick, I'd be more inclined to watch. As it stands, I'll watch the first 2-3 picks, then switch over to something else (probably the Sox game since they are on WGN Thursday) until about 2-3 picks before the Bears pick. Pretty sure that is less than it used to be. You used to have like 20 minutes between first round picks.
  24. Not that interesting stat, but I thought about it ever since seeing Gillaspie finished second in HRs among AL rookies, Abreu is 2 hrs away on May 5th for hitting as many HRs as the top AL HR hitting rookie hit in all of 2013 (Oswaldo Garcia, 14). NL fared a lot better.
