Detroit has been trying to recondense the city for the past decade. The issue is they have no money to make an incentive. It's literally them just saying "please move here, or else soon your bus line is going to cut out" except the people are poor and can't. It's a horrible situation. Also, Jake, I really find it silly that you would reconsider grad school in Chicago over this.

Looking at what happened this off-season I wonder what the market could be for Boozer next offseason if he: 1) Stays healthy 2) Averages 15-10

Broussard tweeted that Houston is trying to work out sign and trade for josh smith with omer and Lin. What a day for Houston if it goes through. Though may bring out worst of josh smith jumpers.

Houston has a great GM. Planned to acquire a bunch of assets to get a star, gets it done. We'll see if Dwight is still good or will be a cap killer for the next 4 years.

Fun hearing stuff that Asik is Houston's centerpiece of possible S&T with LA.

Pretty fun, and confusing, NBA free agency season so far.

I think Mirotic is valuable as an asset that you aren't paying for, however. That's where 3 team deals come from. The bulls had assets that may not have been perfect for OKC but may have worked for other teams. Sometimes 4 teams get involved. Last year for instance, Dwight Howard was traded to Lakers despite them not having the pieces Orlando wanted. This doesn't really prove that bulls couldn't have gotten Harden. Maybe not straight up they couldn't have, but I can say with 100% certainty bulls probably never called despite that being a GREAT compliment to Rose. Maybe our offer loses but you at least try and work a deal or bring in a 3rd team. That stuff leaks out, we would have heard Bulls tried. I don't know, but perhaps you could have traded deng for the warriors pick to really sweeten the deal. Rose-Butler/Harden-Boozer-Noah is formidable to say the least.
