sure it does, one who was right and one who was incredibly wrong and believed in something terribly evil. But besides that they were both white men from the united states in leadership positions.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 22, 2010 -> 07:15 PM) Like it or not, either check the textbooks of the district your kid goes to or pay for a private school. Just no way around it any more. Texas doesn't think this country has enough Rand Paul's. With any luck, there'll be enough sane people in Texas to toss out half of the school board members there in elections later this year. Somehow though I doubts it. Arne Duncan said those worries about it being a national textbook were overstated.

f***ing hell.

We already had this discussion. And, once again, I whole-heartedly agree with SS2k5 You guys are just looking at the basics. Take the time to remember high school. Now be the person not constantly trying to be a dick, but instead be the administrators responsible for hundreds of people's kids every day. Now a group of teenagers comes into school and is clearly taunting a group of other students (every report confirms this), what do you do? Let it progress just because it's an american flag shirt? Or act quickly to neutralize it best you can. Asking them to turn their shirts inside out is NOT a big deal it happened EVERY WEEK at my school. But if the students refused they have every right and are correct to send them home before the kids make a big scene and try and rile up other students.

Nooo, balta, they are protecting BP from responsibility because they really want to step on their neck.

QUOTE (kapkomet @ May 22, 2010 -> 04:01 PM) Putting on his boots to step on the neck of BP. And selling out campaign dinners. He will not rest, though, until this crisis is over. poor BP, who is looking out for them?

QUOTE (The Critic @ May 22, 2010 -> 11:32 AM) I understand why people want to see more scoring from Hossa. I would, too, but he is doing a lot of things that end up helping the team. The way he can control the puck and make defenders exert energy and chase him around wears on the other team. It can also draw them out of position, which can lead to open ice for other guys and bring good scoring chances. He's been really good at clearing the zone, and hasn't made many bad passes. These are valuable things he's doing. Hossa is getting a few decent chances himself, but it seems like when he gets a chance in good scoring range he gets swarmed or the puck's at his feet most times. San Jose knows his reputation and they're checking him pretty tightly. If anything, I love the fact that the team is getting the job done without 81 filling the net, because the Law Of Averages says he's going to get his eventually. He's still a weapon, and another weapon is a great thing to have. I guess I can say it doesn't matter since we are winning, and if we weren't I'd probably be "WHAT DID WE PAY FOR" but plays like 2 or 3 nights ago when a sharks defenseman lazily skated back to clear the puck behind his net and hossa beat him to it out of no where and it directly led to a goal...s*** like that is just fantastic. -
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 22, 2010 -> 02:13 PM) BP checks the list of available dispersants. Finds one that a subsidiary company of its own produces. Checks the stats on that dispersant. Sees it is not the most effective dispersant. Sees it is much more toxic than other available dispersants. Begins purchasing and deploying massive quantities of that dispersant anyway. EPA turns its head for a month. EPA finally gets its head out of its arse earlier this week, after a lot of prodding from media/sciencey types who were saying "BP is using a more toxic dispersant than it needs to and it could be using better, more modern ones!" EPA orders BP to find another dispersant. Meanwhile, CNN finds a warehouse in Texas holding a few hundred thousand gallons of a less toxic, more effective dispersant, just sitting there. BP tells the EPA to s***w off, they'll use whatever dispersant they damn well please, it's their gulf anyway. s***w - what is this?

Passes like Toews to sharpie is the exact reason why you don't complain about strictly goals for players (hossa). Not every goal in hockey is a breakaway. -

I'M TOTALLY EXCITED ABOUT WINNING A GAME. WE ARE GOING TO THE PLAYOFFS. ALL ILLS ARE CURED -
You've defended the company every chance you could. Don't walk back now.

totally, i hate how I can't make a higher wage when I gain a higher position.

I'm sorry, but you want me to be sympathetic to one of the most unapologetic corporate shills in the senate. I will not be. She is a terrible person. She is a terrible senator. She is seriously a terrible senator. And she she makes political cynics like me a little bit happy when a primary on the left makes her actually interested in her job rather than just taking a corporate PR form on how to vote.

I'll believe anything that agrees with lebron coming and discard anything that says different as biased trash.

you don't have to drive to and from hotels? -
I like how kap can read two things that completely conflict with that statement and then continue to make that statement. Dude stays in character. He's like the asian-fish-bowl guy in the prestige.

Wait, didn't balta just post unemployed rates by education? How is that not taking into consideration unemployed graduates. There's little data that you couldn't find. That said, in that completely unscientific assumption type analysis, for my friends and I who have graduated, opportunities did seem to open up quite a bit more the last few months.

QUOTE (Alpha Dog @ May 19, 2010 -> 08:57 PM) No faith in people, all faith in the all-mighty government. Ohhh, so people that work for the government aren't the "government". I get it. The government is some mysterious inanimate object like the smoke monster, out to choke tackle you to death.

So that's a diff. linsey graham no?

all this lebron to chicago hype just seems like the beginning of crushing, bitter disappointment.

Kids should never learn to challenge the status quo. That's not how you become educated.

then that really doesn't have much to do with size alone being the problem. see Canada.
