  1. If this is the best that AQ now has to offer, a guy failing to blow up his junk, then count me as unimpressed, and therefore, fairly encouraged.
  2. I'm going to help out tex here so he doesn't appear to be arguing against something that doesn't exist: GOOOO ABORTIONS!
  3. In the beginning of the offseason Thome was not on my shortlist for future DH. But with the current list and knowing our budget constraints, I feel its unconscionable to ignore this position that can so easily be improved. The most optimistic thing you can say about Jones/Kotsay is that they are unknowns, cause if we get the last 3 years production out of them, it's disgusting. Thome provides a near .370-380 OBP at least, a >.800 OPS at least as well and all that for probably 2 mill. It's about taking an easy step to improve the team instead of just going in with a s*** bunch out of delusional adherence to your idiotic managers wishes.
  4. God that's despicable. However I would like to get into the free lunch program. I don't understand why we don't make it healthy foods.
  5. wow. Just wow. I don't know who kicked Ozzie in the temples, but eff them.
  6. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 11:08 PM) It worked out so well with Tiennamen Square. China doesn't routinely play the "great satan" card.
  7. These two men are NOT stupid, I know this. However, this is the STUPIDEST DAMN THING I'VE EVER COME ACROSS AS A SPORTS FAN! This isn't poor judgment in the "we don't know how to scout" category, or the "we sign the wrong guys" category, that just means you aren't cut out...this is willfully declining to sign a player you KNOW will make you better,a nd he's coming in at a paupers salary. KW is acting like his 8 year old son is in control of the team and he doesn't want to hurt his feelings. DIE EVERYONE WORLD IS OVER

Onde vivem dos monstros finally is hitting brazil...can't wait.
  9. QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 10:27 PM) Usually, but you can request mozzarella at some places. Pappy's was on Man vs. Food recently. pappy's is really good BBQ. I won't hate on pappy's.
  10. alex bleeker and the freaks s/t is really great simple rock cd. I think many here would like it.
  11. wait a second, doesn't STL use provel?
  12. Overcooked the meat, I WAY overestimated how long that would take. I thought since I didn't brown the meat it would take longer, but it was basically boiling in the cream, I should've realized. Nonetheless, creme de leite is AWESOME! SOOOO much better than sour cream. My sister-in-law says that it's the equivelant of table cream which you can find in the latina section. EXCELLENT The vinaigrette is fantastic, seriously, best thing I've learned in brazil is that the s*** i was used to putting things on was SEVERELY limiting. (best example: mustard) BUt so, i used balsamic since I was w/o white wine vinegar, and it was still awesome. It's essentially pico, no doubt, but without the spice it makes it much more transformative I feel. so yeah. GREAT first try at brazilian stroganoff. Don't think I want nutmeg (don't much care for it.) but definitely missed the garlic.
  13. since 2006 we've had a 100 mill payroll and since 2006 have been in one of the weaker divisions. And we have 1 division title to show for it. If we don't make it into the playoffs next year, JR should start looking at the idiotic holes KW places on this ball club for a manager who seems to think it makes his team better.
  14. progressive base wouldn't stand for that.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 08:56 PM) This sounds like me. I have nothing against other styles, many can be very well done. But a loaded Chicago Style Pizza, correctly done, that's about the top of my list. This is the thing, for my money nobody has better sauces then the chicago joins, and nobody offers the sheer overload of wonderful ingredients and meats, all mixing and complimenting so well together.
  16. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 07:52 PM) Deep dish pizza was lasagna with a pizza crust after-taste. I'd rather make my own pizza at home, St Louis style. ahh, velveeta on a baseball card, I'm glad I know not to listen to your food opinions anymore. Emos is atrocious.
  17. perhaps one side believes we shouldn't vilify muslims for merely being muslim.
  18. It's 5:30, i'm about to begin. http://www.maria-brazil.org/brazilian_strogonoff.htm http://www.cookbrazil.com/vinaigrette.htm + 2 bottles of wine, in case the food sucks (but it wont!) I don't have nutmeg, nor peppers, but f-all, i'm gonna make a champion.
  19. QUOTE (Tex @ Jan 23, 2010 -> 03:38 PM) I agree. I also blame politics becoming a team sport with us versus them loyalties to political parties. It really hit home when I was teaching Washington's farewell address. Everything he predicted about political parties came true. hmmm...when I read washington's farewell address it kind of comes across as not so much political parties are bad as much as...that other political party is bad.
  20. why do you need ice for the sidewalk.
  21. all the deep dish hate is srsly pissin me off.
  22. i thought it was these casual dining places that were hurting the most
  23. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Jan 22, 2010 -> 11:42 PM) oh yeah... I also hate Twitter and its effect on Modern America. thread is full of taking the lowest common denominator and proposing it as the sole virtue. twitter is fantastic.
