  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 19, 2010 -> 04:17 PM) You mean average with the glove, right? I think he's saying the best you could describe him is as average, but most likely a below average player.
  4. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 19, 2010 -> 04:19 PM) We have a set MLB time line to get these deals done. It was a joke. And Balta, last year I thought that we, ourselves, were waiting to capitalize on a depressed market for good players, only to discover that all the BS they were spouting was true. I 'm about 90% confident that is happening again this year.
  5. apparently ahead of "get a DH that isn't awful"
  6. I've tried to remain indifferent to this race today but now I'm just disgusted.
  7. with so much depressing s*** going on, do you really blame people for wanting to do something fun?

  11. While i grant that this a more obscure 1984 reference i think there should be a moratorium on 1984 references until every dumb hack stops screaming "THIS IS JUST LIKE BIG BROTHER"
  12. But yeah...i wonder what comes of this..probably nothing. The executive branch will never be held accountable for crimes forevermore.
  13. One of the reasons peyton is the best QB of all time is longevity and consistency, but Phillip Rivers at this moment is pretty damn close.
  14. perhaps if they made a movie about this with tom cruise...er, sorry, i unno who the kids like...Jack Gyllenhall as a crusading lawyer out to get the truth about this cover up and jack nicholson as the head officer people would care about a military cover up killing 3 prisoners. And it's probably a bigger deal now that we know just how many innocent people were put in guantanimo
  15. why would one shove a curling iron up one's butt?
  16. Ahh Miguel Asencio, thank you for reminding me. Haha, that was brutal.
  17. 4 soldiers bravely speak out. Hope they don't get railroaded. http://harpers.org/archive/2010/01/hbc-90006368
  18. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Jan 18, 2010 -> 02:08 AM) Uh...no thanks What? Whatever you think of Turner as a head coach, the dude is a fantastic offensive coordinator. He made alex smith look promising for christ's sake
  19. while i think versteeg won, it did not appear to me that the announcers were favoring eaves.
  20. because it was self-consumed the film actually starts to masturbate to itself halfway through.
  21. if the unions had so much power they would have been able to get card check at least to a vote with a huge democratic congress.
  22. Also Obama is looking pretty stupid for taking a lot of top talent out of senate and governorships (that could become senators) for administrative positions. It made a bunch of seats a lot more vulnerable than they should be.
  23. Indeed. But one thing I thought that would be clear to everyone now that a president is forcing congress to actually work, and where they stand on things actually matters, is that the whole electoral gimmick of "i'm just like you! Look, i'm wearing boots!" s*** would wash down the drain. But i guess it's still important to people.
  24. it'd be pretty tight if norv got fired and became our OC.
  25. good signing at least, no harm no foul
