So it was about a year ago now, when at a rally for Obama, VP Joe Biden asked missouri state rep Chuck Graham to stand up and be recognized. Crucially forgetting Graham was a paraplegic. "Lord Help me" was Biden's response when he figured it out. Ahhh, I miss the campaign.

Those that protected the pedophiles are in a group just as bad. BUT, the implication with this ruling kind of seems to be you don't need to be celibate to be a Catholic priest. And also that Tudors was such a hit it moved it's way into Catholic policy. The policy of celibacy they probably liked as a way to show how strong their messengers of God are, but surely they realize what an consequential policy it is. Is it not as admirable especially in the states to show a man (not a woman, still, correct) who can make his marriage work?

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Oct 21, 2009 -> 12:32 AM) I disagree - I think Obama going after Fox is politically stupid. If you want to convey the idea that Fox is a partisan non-journalistic news network (which... duh), then you treat it as such - ignore them, maybe laugh at them a little bit when the opportunity presents itself, and just go on doing your job. This isn't hurting them at all. The vast majority aren't paying attention/don't care, and Fox, for the first time I've seen has to defend itself and is damn near acknowledging slant. Politically this at worst does nothing to Obama and at best gives cover to other news networks not to cover dumb f***ing stories like czars and tea partiers.

I guess I don't understand. They compiled fox news clips of them making s*** up. Fox is completely on the defensive right now, it will harden their base but this whole thing will probably not be good for them.

most of those clips weren't from olbermann opinion shows.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 19, 2009 -> 12:01 AM) Come on now. 35-17 Bears in a laugher. Did you see that 9ers game? I'm not so sure, but obviously, I think the bears know with the success of the vikings at 6-0 you don't want to lose any games where you are equally matched.

QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Oct 18, 2009 -> 10:12 PM) Ryan Leaf is THE bust and 13.5 sacks in 29 starts is a bust as the 4th overall pick. Im not saying he wont be good or I hate the trade, I was pointing out that there wasnt a chance in hell Ogun is the worst of the 4 defensive ends. So unless you are saying Adams is better than Ogun your argument is irrelevant in the context. He's clearly a project, and IMO the bucs got pretty good value for him. But, I'm going to hope they are right about this kid. A force at DE will be very helpful to our secondary. The turnovers haven't come like they did in 04-06

Some things should be based off of performance, though, and not just hunches that the vikes D is better.

You said there was nothing that could convince you that the saints were better than the vikings. Last year the cards made it to the SB with an avg-to-bad running game. The Steelers had a really bad running game but a great D. It doesn't matter. The saints O is dynamic and even if struggling is still perpetually capable of turning it around on a drive. Meanwhile their D has showed up. I thought that the giants would tear their s*** up. They did to a degree. But when you are up by 4 tds pass defense gaps happen.

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Oct 18, 2009 -> 09:31 PM) This has been pretty clear for quite a while now. However, the Vikings defense COLLAPSED in the 4th today, and considering their next 2 are in Pittsburgh and Green Bay, there is hope they could get a couple of losses up there. Problem is, the Bears next two are in Atlanta and Cincy and won't be easy either. I'm pretty happy that the bengals lost. I have serious doubts we win tonight but I just hope that 60% win pct off the bye comes in our favor. We've had a lot of misfortune in D injuries. What I need is some better run blocking every week. The thing about the bears that I think we all feel is that they are a team that will improve with more time with cutler/WR, more time for our LBs to settle in, etc.

We'll see. The NFL is crazy. The bears are going to have their hands full tonight, and I'd really hate to see them go down and have to play catch up against the vikes and pack

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Oct 18, 2009 -> 08:20 PM) Vikings win it. Whether they are the best team or not, they are one of the best in the league. Of course they are. I'm merely not understanding what makes the vikings close victories more superior than the saints...and how the saints beating a 5-0 team in convincing, convincing fashion is not enough to, at this marker, say they've been the best in the league. but yes, the colts is a good argument. I suppose it's a toss up, I've yet to see the colts besides one womping on MNF or SNF.
