  1. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Dec 11, 2008 -> 08:32 AM) i do, minus a few small upgrades. I didn't believe you just 3 days ago, but I more than believe it now.

I really can say I don't know how hype affects so many people in watching movies.
  3. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 10, 2008 -> 08:09 PM) Agreed, Kenny likes to make additions all the way up until right before the season starts. Werent Iguchi, AJ, and El Duque all added after the winter meetings? Nope. All hope is lost. We didn't trade for Ryan Freel, sign CC Sabathia and ... I can't even keep up with it anymore.
  4. just absolute awfulness.
  5. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Dec 10, 2008 -> 04:02 AM) Honestly, I think this team is cutting payroll, but for now KW wants to not look desperate, so he's holding onto his cards. Maybe at the end of the meetings when everybody else has forgotten that we are trying to cut payroll or in a couple weeks, then KW makes his move once again underneath the spotlight. He is kinda just testing the market now, if he could get what he wanted he wouldve made the trade. me too, but I thought cutting payroll like 10 mill not like 40.
  6. Truthfully, I thought some posters on here were crazy when they were saying "trust me, this is the team we will put out at spring training", but now it seems that money sent packing really was sent packing. Let's hope we have the right young talent or this could be a long season.
  7. from the deadspin comments "WanderingBear 12:09 PM I don't think that baseball looks anything like Freud. It doesn't even have a beard"
  8. The difference when Common and Kanye experiment is Kanye succeeds, whereas Common has made some truly awful s*** when he goes outside the box. The reason Be was so good was Kanye took him back to his roots with No ID and then Jdilla the next album.
  9. QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Dec 9, 2008 -> 09:48 PM) would you do dye for sonnanstine? Hell no.
  10. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Dec 9, 2008 -> 07:36 PM) I dont know about God. In close to late situations he is horrible What?
  11. He doesn't seem to care. He should have been choice #1 for Atty. Gen. in my opinion.
  12. This guy is delusional! He thinks a governor that had 10% approvals could eventually be president? further, I
  13. Jesus, he threatened to that the Trib needed to fire members of its editorial board if they wanted financial assistance? F*** YOU BLAGO ROT IN JAIL.
  14. QUOTE (Kenny Hates Prospects @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 10:14 PM) Since no one honored my request, http://s428.photobucket.com/albums/qq5/das...s_dick_dash.jpg
  15. QUOTE (knightni @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 11:10 PM) Economic-wise, I'm surprised that players aren't signing quicker to avoid the "Over 250k" Obama tax hike plan. well, for the record, he said that may likely be delayed in effect until the bush tax cuts come up for renewal.
  16. Something interesting the Irish Times has tried, is they have basically stores out of their web site. You can buy wine off of their wine list and other things like that. I thought it wasn't a bad idea, imagine linking cd reviews to places to buy the cds, dvds, books, etc. Make a deal with Amazon. I know some people think this could lead to corruption, but no more than is already possible in reviewing. If you break the readers trust by continually backing bad products, you is f'ed. but strangely enough that last part hasn't affected Jim Cramer
  17. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 07:36 PM) Ah, when you put it like that, it makes sense. IMO it just totally takes the professionalness out of the look of the site. I totally agree with you. I'm not sure what the solution is.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 07:29 PM) I looked up the story on his paper's website and did not see any new info. I did, however, send him an email asking if there was any new info after the denial of the deal by both teams. I will share it if I get an answer from him. On a side note I could not believe how poorly moderated their comments are... Some people are raging assholes in their comments to and about McCoy, and they left them all up there for all to see. HOpefully they go through it and delete lots of the hateful stuff. I'll tell you why, some papers don't believe in moderating comments, thinking it would show partiality and negate free speech
  19. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Dec 8, 2008 -> 08:28 AM) Eh, speak for yourself. I LOVED that trade when it went down. Getting 2 young starting pitchers with considerable upside for a $10M starter who was throwing 86 MPH and showing obvious signs of shoulder problems was god damn coup. I was performing grand dances of joy and elation when that trade went down, if the Phillies had bothered to give Garcia a physical before finalizing the deal we likely would have been the ones to get 11 s***ty starts out of Freddy in '07 before he broke down for good. Everyone said he was finished, but said we should've gotten more. Same with every trade we've ever made.
