saw the good shephard today. This film made me very uncomfortable, which wasn't a bad thing, a bit wearisome at 2.5 hours, but a very interesting film. There was no real good guy, the protagonist had many moral dillemas and internal problems, and the entire film was shot as if the audience was spying in on the action itself. De Niro never really shot damon in any close up shots, which gave the aura that he was left alone or a bit awkward in the world he was often trying to save. The only time he really fit in was around people trying to deceive him. Good flick, may get mixed reviews, and I'll probably be able to identify them, but to me the weaknesses did not bother me (e.g. the father problem not being fully developed imo)
