that is absolutely incredible. SO many tragedies in one week...though i think this trumps everything...we're talking about 1/2 of our death total on 9/11...i'm just doing that to put it in perspective of how massive a death tolll that is.

At least i gave reasons to why dave matthews sucks and credence that he made good albums in the past, why you feel so insecure about liking dave matthews i don't know, when someone says they don't like a band i don't like i can back up why it sounds good to me, everyone responding to me acts like I shot a baby. If i started an official music thread, i guarantee you i wouldn't get as upset as you guys would if people came in and said they sucked.

For the most part, considering i don't even play the guitar but have three older brothers who do, and with little practice i could play 4 dave matthews songs (two steps, satellite, *watchtower 3/4s, jimmy thing) i think i'm entitled to say that his songs are not that difficult. The best musician is obviously their drummer.

Though I guess there is some wacky intellectual innuendo there with singing about Bush and using "She's Tight". And punk has been spilling out of the "rich suburbs" since atleast 1984, as that is when I first shaved half my hair off my head. It isn't a new thing to be in the 'burbs, and if you think it has always been exclusive to the cities, even in it's inception, well, you are wrong. Kids have had angst since the day Adam turned 13. i just think y ou have to expect that in a genre that bases itself in three chords...its why brian eno didn't play punk...(thank god)...Creativity in punk comes in other forms like structure and style...i'm not a fan of punk really but Art Brut are an incredibly witty and clever punk band from england that are just awesome....they aren't like hardcore punk...they are...its hard to explain...great band though everyone should check em out

It was still better than his later stuff... its funny that you take more offense to someone bringing valid points to why dave sucks than people just saying dave sucks...
