For the record, this is why I wasn't onboard as Cesar for a guy to immediately pick up his option. To say the least, there are a lot of 2bs possible, and it is unlikely you'll be left without a seat. He is a fine option though, but with so many infielders on the market there's a possibility to upgrade or get similar production for similar price - but why lock it in. But it's not life or death and if they pick it up, it's fine. Even if they make a mistake there will be 2bs available next deadline and offseason etc, etc.

Can’t stress enough how rad it is watching the game play out where it goes Tim Anderson to Luis Robert to Jose Abreu to Eloy Jimenez to Yoan Moncada and soon we’ll replace two low OBP guys with the walk god. When guys go out with injury you get used to how it all looks and he replacement guys still being baseball players but going from average player to awesome player is always so much more fun then you remember.
