oh weird look what intl bonus gets you. Ah well, we do the quantity over quality model, even though we never sign the biggest classes. Just like we do best player available, except actually we needed to add depth so drafted all college players.

especially when its the epitome of the penny wise, pound foolish mindset.

"You see Jerry, the genius is it isn't even real money, so it's really like we are getting back $3 million! That's 1/3rd of Yonder's salary you so generously let us eat"

good to know the sox will continue to not prioritize intl. 2 years to hone in on this period like a hawk and they signed a 22 year old with cuban league numbers that make Yolmer confident, and then shipped out the remaining amount for a 19 year old and a body to get some much needed cash relief from the burden of nate jones.

Apologies, I initially thought we were acquiring intl cash. THat would be crazy LOL, we already have yolbert, why use more?

ooo, didn't realize it was #guzmanday

I would imagine Reds were trying to work a Trammel/++ for Noah, a pitcher with 2.5 years control, and when they couldn't moved to Bauer.

at this point I've given up hope that the mlb can produce interesting trade season/offseasons anymore. Everyone is too cognizant of future value and everyones team runs too efficiently and doesn't care as much about shedding salary.

Also not like we've heard anyone say "oh he actually isn't making hard contact and looks overmatched"

but also unneccessary. Nobody can convince me this shit moves the needle. But now if they trade colome...are they not planning to compete in 2020? Of course not. How this helps anymore than just telling the other gms on a call...whatever. They just love to talk and feel active.

not that you are saying this, but just a reminder that the sox media negotiating this last winter consistently blew up in their face

Get him to W-S, he'll start there next year. Let him find housing, settle in, and mash next year through three levels.

Eh isn’t it “Madrigal to AAA?” At this point

But like next year is it. They could have packaged up trammel in offseason for an available pitcher for more than 1 year control considering this year ain’t it for them.

I’m not sure I even sat back to wonder why the reds just did this

that’s a haul

Can they leave off trammel another year or just the 2 for 1 aspect?

And I do like Trammel but a pretty tough year for him.

Pretty surprised SD valued Trammel as better than Reyes / Allen

Love heyman

I hope people don’t treat him to that standard for long. He’s 16, thrown into team mid season. Next year will be a bit more fun.

I feel like sox probably have likely deal lined up for colome but are holding out to see if one of those that lose out on the better deals try and jump offer.

I think it's that teams aren't under as much financial constraints and expect bigger talent returns.
