I read in general the struggle a lot of local country clubs are in for members. You look at that glut of south shore ones, and you wonder if that’s not a big ole set of opportunity. I think for the Sox to be near the UC you’d need to make a train line that connects the green/pink/blue lines that runs temporarily. UC capacity is half the Sox. Not many places to route it. Clark/Roosevelt would be good. Otherwise…anyway you cut it near where the Sox play now will be tops Im a big bears AH supporter, but huge difference in how we consume those games.

There are a lot of quick buses from the loop. The trains aren’t that close though which is kind of annoying. But still I would rather go to the UC than soldier field at any given time. However…man when it is cold it sucks sometimes if you don’t have a favorable connection.

Ticket sales went up in the 2015 offseason because they raised the expectation of winning. Which Dayton Moore wouldn’t do. Season tickets were down going into 2023, because the expectation was they’d win less. And the fans were right.

It doesn’t matter what some scouting lists said. Law was right that he was a top 50 prospect at that point and everyone immediately followed suit by mid year. And his reports were based on the period immediately after the Sox traded him. So yes the Sox traded a top 50 prospect, this isn’t like Semien growing into an MVP 4 years later.

I’m not buying this idea that fans know less and are just mindless bandwagoners. We were right that all the trash stuff the org was doing was bad. We are right that they need a fresh start. If they win…I don’t care. They won’t. Getz sucks. Moore sucks. I’ll be right.

Also amazingly my experience at grf is miserably attended games aren’t even easier to get food and drink because they only staff to like 10% and you walk forever and are still in a big like. I waited less during the playoffs.
