https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQhAaAT6fxqy8DvRIDg7DcvIbKZ908OH4bSobz0ur11PL-f93sMYbJR7_w6QGW_um7CR8CAuPQ9Pend/pubhtml?gid=1741699306&single=true Wow looks like AZL is gonna be a LOT of our intl guys. The only notable DSL guys that I could identify would be: Jefferson Mendoza, C, 17 and one of our 300k signings last year Jerrick Francees, SS, 17 out of Aruba Sydney Pimentel, 17, another one of our few 2017 signings is in AZL along with nearly all of last years DSL guys worth anything. Joseu Guerrero, Carraballo, Mieses, Comas, Kleydar Sanchez, Brayant Nova, all are stateside. This isn’t some incredible development but guys like brayant nova we’re in DSL for two years before heading stateside. All of the 2016 guys with good bonuses are moved now. Its interesting to me. The assignments after the draft could maybe throw water on this.
  2. That was my guess, but when you say it like that it sounds like it was basically “well we have an extra 600k, uh just give it to sheets”
  3. The huge overslot signing by Sheets always confused me.

That’s exciting. Looks like quite a few of that 2016 class may have moved stateside! Interesting to see the lineup next few days.
  5. Rarely are hitters projected with those numbers. That’s a 70 hit tool with 70 game power. That’s a once a decade prospect let alone a 4th overall guy.
  6. This is premature. I hope they turn out but Burdi has a 34 K% in AAA. If Ruiz and Hamilton keep their numbers at that level then you get excited. Burdi was really good.
  7. The player I’m actually wavering a bit on now is Bohm. There are some reports that have given me pause on his bat.
  8. There are too many reports of how he uses his whole body to drive to lead me to believe that’s the whole picture. He will have to advance his approach to look for more pitches he can drive, and not just hit it because you can. Hard to change that when it’s working.
  9. Maybe...just maybe they could view Singer as the more impactful players. The idea that if they draft the player you want it’s for the right philosophy but if they draft the player you don’t its because they are trying to draft for need is silly.
  10. I wouldn’t be that upset if it’s Singer, but I just can’t shake this feeling that he gets here, loses MPH off of his fastball as he moves to pro workload and is suddenly this 89-91 mph pitcher we hope works.
  11. Hope that’s a fourth round pick
  12. Yes this though! i like Jackson. Maybe not the defensive stalwart long term but really interesting.
  13. Ugh. Crap. think I would lean 1
  14. Wow blown away by your hall of fame examples
  15. I would actually be pretty happy with this.
  16. Good stuff. So I'm not big on player profile orthodoxy but I really don't want a prep RHP after reading the BA article a few weeks back on the high bust rate within the top ten that has led the industry to re evaluate what it's getting wrong with them.
  17. if only everything that helped didn't happen and all the things that hurt aren't mentioned literally every series would flip.
  18. Heck yeah, I want some f Heck yeah, I want some off the wall stuff.
  19. Maybe, I thought he was like 30-40 because people didn't expect him to stay at short and hit for power, but probably that was last years mid year lists.
  20. Wow Bichette now #7
  21. Isn't it just your working assumption that he was talking about Schnell and not Kelenic? The thing with Schnell is if you don't take him at 4, you probably only have a 10-15% chance of getting him at 47. But if you take him over available talents like Madrigal/Bohm/Swaggarty etc, you have a 0% chance of those guys falling back. I'm not crazy about this strategy, especially a HS outfielder almost certainly to be a corner bat.
  22. Feels like Schnell at 46 overslot is more likely than schnell at 4. Crappy midwest weather, below average runner, you could see some looking elsewhere in a deep class. I'm not that worried. In terms of player type in this draft I'd like if we could pull off round 1 - college hitter round 2 - prep pitcher round 3 - prep hitter round 4 - college pitcher round 5 - college pitcher then a bunch of college hitters and after 8 whatever.
  23. I think at the very least people should spend this year and next just enjoying Lebron without feeling a need to counter with a MJ narrative. As with Michael, there is lebron right now, and everyone else. You can't appreciate how much better he is through stats. You have to watch a guy on a team full of idiots do everything possible to get them to the finish line.
  24. There are so many fun prep and more multi-faceted projects that should be around at 2, i'd seriously rather just bet on spillane in a stretch in round 3 than using our 2nd for beer.
  25. If I had become a GM (this holds even if I was GM because my owner dad gave me jobs and then i just was nice to the other rich people in the league and so got another job) and my wife got me fired because of tweets I'm not sure my marriage would last.
