I didn't see this one but overall it's a pretty solid show, imo.

QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 10:47 PM) It sucks though because my first four semesters of high school I didn't get honors points for being in honors classes. Junior and senior year we get the extra point, so it balances things out.. *SLAP*

QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 10:43 PM) I had a 4.18 and I was pissed off at myself Not a 4.18, god no.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 09:37 PM) Is this official? ESPN made it sound like it, but I'm not 100 percent sure.

QUOTE(Steff @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 07:08 PM) Mike.. if you have a little 6 pack cooler please bring it tomorrow. We will need it to keep the beverages cold while waiting in line. I'm bringing cards. Maybe Monopoly also... It better be the Sox championship monopoly.

Here's my last comment on this topic: Getting better for the future is fantastic but I highly doubt we're ever going to have a better shot at winning it then this year, right now I don't even see a team on paper that's in our league at this point(doesn't mean we'll win anything). We trade JC who I believe will be our best sp this season and one of the best in the league it weakens our best compenent significantly. Our rotation would still be very good but not as good and our world series chances would take a hit. You don't hurt a team that is presently world series calibur to maybe put the team in the same position in upcoming years but obviously this is all jmo.
-
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 02:22 PM) I guarantee that people will be pissed if we don't win the World Series next season and Contreras then goes on to sign elsewhere in the offseason. Everyone will say, "WHY DIDN'T WE TRADE CONTRERAS?!?" Fantastic, and what if we get Milledge, he turns out to be a bust and JC continues his domination from last year? I'm sure no one would be b****ing. It's a 2 way street, jabroni.
-
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 02:11 PM) The question is...are you willing to slightly reduce our chances of winning a world series this year in exchange for possibly increasing it significiantly the next 7 years after this one? I say trading your best starter(imo he'll be our best this season) weakens your chances of winning the series an enormous amount.
-
QUOTE(Felix @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 02:10 PM) Cotts? Blah, so we take arguably our best bullpen arm out of the pen and throw him into the rotation when he probably wouldnt be stretched out at all. So now we weaken our pen and rotation a great deal.
-
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 02:02 PM) Delmon Young is the best OF prospect in the league by far. I think everyone would agree with that. Easily, it's not even close.
-
QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 01:59 PM) Without Contreras... Buehrle Garcia Garland Vazquez McCarthy And if one of them goes down?
-
No thanks, I don't want to trade JC, period, especially for a spect, even one as good as Lastings.
-
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 26, 2006 -> 12:49 AM) Look out. If Tyson keeps playing the way he is, the Bulls are by far the best of that group and should earn that final playoff spot. We have depth and defensive talent and the team is really gelling and moving the ball around. This Bulls squad has quite a bit of talent and at least Noc and Duhon would be starting a lot of other places. Plus Songalia is a really really good reserve. If Tyson keeps playing the way he has the last two games, the bulls are in the playoffs, no problem.

QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Jan 25, 2006 -> 09:32 PM) NL Sleeper: Cubs - The Astros in my opinion are on the decline especially if the Rocket doesnt return... I think their going to have a pretty lousy season.... Also while still good the Cardinals have gotten worse and Cubs actually played well against them. While their off-season wasnt anything special they have a good bullpen now with a 7-8-9 guys and I think Prior/Zambrano/Maddux get it done... and hell Wade Miller or Kerry Wood maybe 1 of them turn out to do good. Pierre going to help a lot and I think if they are smart and use Todd Walker at 2B and that Cedeno kid at SS they will be pretty good. Jaque Jones needs to improve from last season but I think they arent that bad. Also its fun to pick them because everyone is going to rip me for it. This is why I didn't do the NL, cause I feel the same way.

The MSU-Mich game just got a bit insane.
