  1. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:24 PM) Damn it would be funny as hell if we win tonite with this lineup!! Wouldn't surprise me if we did.
  2. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) we're still starting mark buehle! Nope, he's actually just been scratched to let el duque get a start. Ok, I'm just kidding.
  3. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:15 PM) Kap...close this one up? I don't think there is any reason for that. Nobody is attacking anyone else, just good banter between people with different opinions.
  4. QUOTE(chisoxfan14 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:13 PM) WILLIE!!!!!!
  5. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:11 PM) So you won't b**** ever when the Sox need some help, and the team they need the help from throws a line-up like this on the field? That's fine. Personally, I would be pissed. You know what--I definitely wouldn't be happy but I would understand completely, that team that won their division has the right to do what they want, they need to worry about themselves and no one else. Like I said if the Red Sox and Yankees won 96 games they wouldn't be worrying about this.
  6. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:11 PM) OK, everyone has their point, and they are all good ones. Let's move on now, shall we? Me included. 2 hours till gametime, what else are we gonna do?
  7. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 03:09 PM) Angels opponent was Oakland who was eliminated from playoff consideration. So what? We won the division, we can do whatever the f*** we want, if the red sox and yankees had 96 wins then they wouldn't have to worry about this now would they?
  8. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 11:30 AM) wehether he should or not it won't matter because he doesn't have 17 or more wins and a Starting Pitcher has never won the Cy Young with less than 17 wins. This is what you said, YOU WERE WRONG, just admit it and move on.
  9. Angels lineup the day after they won the west: Davanon Izturis Finley Rivera Kotchman Quinlan Pride Paul(yes that Paul) Sorensen
  10. QUOTE(hi8is @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 02:47 PM) what time (central time) is rome is burning on? Right now.
  11. QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 02:43 PM) If we don't win at least 1 we can lose the ALHF. Correct, if either the yanks or bosox sweep this weekends series.
  12. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 02:27 PM) Does anybody know a Red Sox message board? We should break the news to them about the lineup. They know or atleast their radio stations do.
  13. QUOTE(Texsox @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 02:23 PM) No, every team has to respect the game and always play to win. If teams were allowed to take the night off, baseball would be like wrestling (the WWF variety). We'll see how Ozzie does the rest of the series. Maybe it's day off tonight and they'll play all weekend. I would reject the counter argument of everyone on a MLB roster is a ML player and capable of winning the game. Every fan knows these guys are not as good as the guys they are replacing. Once again tex, our starters have got dominated by Millwood to the tune of a 1.33 era this year, these bench players have something to play for and our regulars really do not. Also, our team earned this right, Scoscia I believe pulled off something similar the day after the Angels clinched. By the way, Borch is batting .800 this year.
  14. Let me add, Millwood has a 1.33 era against us this year, why not try a whole new lineup? To be honest all these guys playing have something to play for and our starters really don't.
  15. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 02:16 PM) This is bogus. If the White Sox were playing Cleveland for their playoff lives and either the Yankees or Red Sox put this crap on the field which would hurt their chances, there would be outrage. I have no problem with a regular Sunday line-up tonight, but this is stretching it. If Cleveland rolls tonight, this will have repercussions in the future, believe me. I also wouldn't be surprised if the Ozzie gets a call from the commissioner's office as well. And before anyone skewers me, just put yourselves in NY or Boston's shoes. We earned this right Dick, they didn't.
  16. QUOTE(chisoxfan79 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 02:11 PM) Did anybody hear about Bud Selig sending a letter to the Sox about fielding a competitive team the next 3 games? I thought I heard it in the score but I am not sure. If he did that, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if that's why ozzie put this lineup out there.
  17. I guess Boston radio is already b****ing about this, oh well...we earned this right. Anyways, I'm actually excited to see this lineup play. Extremely happy to see Ross, Borch and Anderson in there.
  18. QUOTE(kman @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 02:06 PM) lol thnx for the info, shuld i order my sat tix online or kan i get them at the day of sat's covention at the hotel? Order them online, saturday is usually sold out.
  19. LMAO, here's the lineup tonight: 1. Pods 2. Anderson 3. Gload 4. Borch 5. Crede 6. Timo 7. Widger 8. Blum 9. Harris
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 02:01 PM) Go. And if you are 21+ stay at the hotel and hang out at the bar at night. Good times... Pssh, you don't have to be 21 to stay at the hotel.
  21. I went to a bob evans restaurant last week, there were people smoking right by us and I couldn't even eat my food. This is a damn good ban imo.
  22. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 01:58 PM) If you want autographs, expect to spend most of you day in lines. Ya, my first ever soxfest I spent a lot of time in the Todd Ritchie/Jim Parque line.
  23. QUOTE(kman @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 01:51 PM) ye saturday looked to be the best because of the time periods so ill go to that 1. Geez ive never been be4 Im curious on how its all set up procedures and all. Also what kind of area is it is the space provided big enough to hold every1 or is it a lil cramped? Thanx Nope, it's really not cramped at all. Lots of things to do and people scattered all over the place.
  24. QUOTE(kman @ Sep 30, 2005 -> 01:47 PM) I was thinking of goin 1 of the 3 days and I noticed Saturdays tix are 5 doll more expensive. I was wondering is there any special day to go or is it all luck on which day is the best thnx. Saturday is the longest and usually most crowded, I'd say that would be the best day to go thought if you're only going one day because of the fact it is the longest.
  25. QUOTE(Brian @ Sep 29, 2005 -> 02:19 PM) Did you guys hear the White Sox clinched the AL Central today? Who?
