Big bounce back game for Jose tonight, he should be much better considering he got that first start out of the way after pitching in Colorado. GO SOX!!!!!1
-
Helton>>>>>>Konerko. That being said Todd does make way to much money and he'd handicap the team for a while, not gonna happen.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 03:46 AM) Agreed, and he was almost a Sox. Remember the Konerko for Odalis trade rumors in 2003 when Konerko was hitting like s***? Yup, that was the biggest offseason rumor after the 03 season after the Maggs-Nomar deal.
-
QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 03:36 AM) Nope. Brad Penny and Derek Lowe are but thankfully we missed them in the rotation. Odalis Perez is also a much better pitcher then Weaver but Odalis is on the dl.

QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 01:18 AM) Yep, our commercials are way too damn cheesy. Last season's commercials were so much better. The new ones are definitely cheesy but I thought the first group of commercials this year were awesome.

QUOTE(rangercal @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 12:54 AM) IMO that is the best sig I have ever seen at soxtalk. Believe me , that says a lot. That is a great sig. I've been lucky. The sigs people have made for me have been absolutely fantastic each time.

QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Jun 19, 2005 -> 02:33 AM) Jeff Weaver is the Dodgers' ace? No.

Tomorrow's lineup won't have as many backups in it as usual on sunday's because it's not a day game after a night game and it's not a travel day either.

That was so fun to watch I can't even explain what was going through my mind, just unreal. Ballsy f***in outing by Freddy tonight, Aaron takes what's given to him and basehit up the middle and of course aj ending it. Has there been a better 3 game stretch this season then these last 3?? WOW, just wow, special f***in team. I love these guys.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 04:14 PM) How much does it suck to play for the Royals? Is there a big change in your mindset now being in Charlotte compared to playing in Birmingham last year with the big differences in the parks? If there is one thing you think you really need to work on what would that be? Do you expect to be starting in Chicago next year?

Willie, obviously this is an opinion thing but how could you leave off Pujols??

QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 01:08 PM) I thought we had Gary more than once. Could be wrong though. You're correct.

5 homers in 25 ab's is just ridiculous. That is all.
-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:15 AM) It would lose it's luster after the first 10 games. Bad idea. Completely agreed there.

Uh oh, hopefully he's ok.

Jenks or Liotta.

The Player I want the White Sox to acquire.
Rowand44 replied to JDsDirtySox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
No need for another starting pitcher but Redman is just a slightly below average pitcher while in the A.L. and he's a very solid pitcher in the N.L., he belongs in the National league. -
QUOTE(3E8 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 11:59 AM) Maddux basically has the right to say whatever he wants. His career trumps Buehrle's with so much leverage it's not even funny. The problem is that Buehrle was NOT talking about Maddux. Buehrle is speaking from his own "years of experience". The media twisted it by saying the pitcher he was talking about has had many great "years of experience". I don't know how many of you caught the post game press conference with Mark but he basically came out and said it was Zambrano. You're completely correct about Maddux's career trumping Buehrle's, however Buehrle has been better for quite some time now and Buehrle right now has more wins then Greg did at this time of his career. I'm not trying to say Mark is going to become Maddux, just saying that Mark has reallly been as good as you can be this early in a career.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 03:50 AM) Believe it or not they have alot of good bullpen arms. But you would just think they are throwing mike jackson out there every time by just looking at the numbers. I agree that they have solid arms in the pen but it obviously hasn't worked out very well. Do they have the worst bullpen era in baseball or am I going crazy?
-
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 12:55 AM) I'll be seeing em in person quite a bit over the next few weeks. There's rumors going around that they'll acquire Jose Mesa soon. They sorely need anyone in that pen. I believe they have the worst bullpen era in baseball.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Jun 18, 2005 -> 03:37 AM) So does that make it like 40 consecutive starts of atleast 6 innings? Amazing! It's 42 I believe(not 100 percent sure on that) however you look at that, it's truely amazing.
