  1. QUOTE(Randar68 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:54 AM) That's just my feel for it. Daigle is a good guy to have in the clubhouse, but there are several really good guys, a few with leadership skills on the BHam roster right now, so what does that say? I don't know, I have always kind of wondered how long anyone could keep a guy like Razor around before he talked/acted his way out of town... We'll see. He makes things fun when they're winning, but man is it a b**** to be around him when they are losing... that's my opinion anyway, I could be off... Rogo is the only hitter worthy of promotion in AA (that isn't already being pushed (Owens and Young)... and Daigle just so happens to play the same position and be on fire a level lower... It makes sense. Rogo's time is the near future, IMO, gotta see what he can do in AAA unless they are showing him off for trade... Completely agreed, I know I'm very interested to see how much his power numbers increase while in Charlotte. I also kind of wonder if he has a legit shot to replace Pauly if he's not resigned after this season, I guess his time in Charlotte will prove that one way or another.
  2. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:43 AM) My Spidey Sense tells me.. I think tonight will be near 32K.. tomorrow about the same and Sunday maybe a little lighter. The weather is supposed to be awesome all weekend. Mid 70's and Sunny all weekend
  3. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:50 AM) Why would we want him? I don't know if you guys have noticed, but he is horrendous this year. He has probaly worn out his welcome in Boston, and some GM would be willing to take a chance on him. I could defiantly see him being traded. We made the mistake of trading him because he soured on our manager after a bad few months. Keith's a great closer he'll be perfectly fine, imo.
  4. Last year I'd agree with that assessment. In 03 if they got into the playoffs they would have been a tremendously tough out.
  5. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:48 AM) Kentucky 'y'all'. I'll be coming FROM the south. Ya, that's what I thought so my directions should actually be correct for once.
  6. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:38 AM) The church? It's right off the 35th exit, I could be wrong cause I'm absolutely terrible with directions but I believe for you coming from Kentucky when you'd get off at the 35th exit, you'd make a left at the stop light right in front of the cell and then it's the first parking lot and they'll be waving people in.
  7. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:39 AM) Yeah, it's not too shabby. It's literally off the exit and you run right into it when trying to get into the USCF pay lots. I love it cause after the game you get back on the highway right away, it's fantastic.
  8. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:38 AM) That lot is going to be packed several hours before the game.. good if you're with a group.. bad if you're alone. Ya, well it depends what game he's going to I guess. I'm actually probably taking the el for that series just cause last year it was the most ridiculous thing ever to get in and out of the lots for me. Also for the Sunday game they have real church so that lot will be closed, forgot about that. Still if you're going there Friday or Saturday and get there early enough you should be ok.
  9. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:35 AM) The only 2 cash lots will be C and G. Are you driving...??? YAS, if you're driving I personally recommend parking at the church. That's where I park for every game I go to. You get out of there so quick after the game's it's unbelievable.
  10. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:19 AM) You all have a cold one for me. I really wish I could be there... sometimes living this far away sucks. That's no f***in excuse get your ass to park.
  11. QUOTE(AirScott @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:12 AM) wow, you really are a huge fan of Uribe's defense. Vizquel, I think, is still the premier fielding SS in the game. he's turned some spectacular double plays with Deivi Cruz this year, really a treat to watch. He has there's no doubt. IMO he's no longer a premier defender because his range has been limited some(understandable) but he's still very solid, he won't make a ton of errors and if the ball is in his range he will make the play.
  12. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 08:01 AM) They did a release.. They will do another one around noon and a final one around 5:45. Thanks Steff, that's what I kind of figured. Anyways I already bought tickets and I'm in section 159 which is great by me, I personally love that view.
  13. QUOTE(Princess Dye @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:07 AM) Whoa. when have you ever seen Uribe get to anything that should not have been playable? A lot. Juan has and has always had tremendous range, once again this is jmo but I think very highly of Juan's defensive capabilities.
  14. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 09:03 AM) So essentially I'm gonna ask this question; Do you prefer a guy with a great range but a bad arm in say Willie Harris, or a guy with a great arm but no so good range in Royce Clayton. On Clayton, he should of stayed in Colorado if he could, Alex Cintron is just about going to take his everyday spot. How about a guy with great range and a great arm like Uribe??? I'm just a huge fan of Uribe's defense and princesdye at this time there is no question Juan is a better defender then Vizquel imo.
  15. QUOTE(JimH @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 08:52 AM) At the moment it doesn't appear the Pirates are in any hurry to dump players. That could change, but McClendon is under a lot of pressure and so is Littlefield. The fans and media there are tired of the constant losing, and tired of dumping guys every July. The other issue is, they love Mackowiak, he's been there a long time and does a lot of PR stuff for the franchise. Not to mention something has clicked for him at the plate this year. It will not be easy to pry him away, my guess is quite a number of teams would be interested in Mackowiak and other Pirate players. IMO Felix Diaz would net the Sox next to nothing in a trade. Chris Young might have some value but my impression is the Pirates want someone closer to ML ready, and Young is still rather raw and striking out in bunches. Borchard as you know appears to have very little value, seeing as this is his last option year. You also correctly identify the Pirates as having a glut of middle IF types, so as you suggest it's doubtful they will want to add anyone there. Unless the Pirates are hot for some lower level young pitching, I'm struggling with seeing a trade match up. Then again, stranger things have happened. But I do like Grabow, the lefthander, and I definitely like Mackowiak. Both IMO would be excellent fits here. The Sox can't go on indefinitely with no backup 1B. I know you weren't suggesting that Mclendon should be on the hot seat but I personally think he does a fantastic job for what he's given but that's jmo.
  16. QUOTE(Jabroni @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 04:17 AM) I wouldn't get my hopes up. He killed the ball in Single A for the Tigers as well. Then they moved him up to AA and he sucked... http://www.thebaseballcube.com/players/leo_daigle.shtml But the Tribune had a blurb earlier in the week about Daigle... http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...tesox-headlines I know Randar keeps on saying that Rogo will be promoted to Charlotte once the first half of the season ends for Birmingham and once Rogo is promoted to Charlotte Daigle will be promoted to Bham.
  17. QUOTE(chi-guy2 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 08:46 AM) that would be awesome, id love to have him back but where to put him How about the bullpen? Anyways this is obviously a moot point, Keith isn't going to be traded.
  18. QUOTE(Steff @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 08:43 AM) Correct me if I am wrong.. but Royce rarely moved. Everything within arms shot he got to.. but he was a statue out there was he not..? That's what I recall as well.
  19. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 07:51 AM) Hopefully it's just a little hot streak that they are going on, and can get off of soon. It is, every team gets on a little hot streak during the season, I mean look at Buddy Bell's Royals. Anyways, Cleveland is nothing more then an average team.
  20. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Jun 17, 2005 -> 07:30 AM) http://www.suntimes.com/output/sox/cst-spt-doug17.html I know this is an article about Kelly and I agree that's the attitude Kelly should've had but look at the blurb about Frank. Good stuff.
  21. Ya, it's obvious Pauly was asked about the miscues that Royce made and Pauly was defending Royce's defense by saying he's the best defensive shortstop he's played with, I'm sure of it that he was talking about defense and not offense. That's pauly's opinion, I personally disagree cause I do think Juan is a better defensive shortstop because though Royce makes every play at him he doesn't have tremendous range but that's jmo.
  22. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:33 PM) use whitesox.com then I did. Whitesox.com's tickets are through ticketmaster.
  23. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:46 PM) Not the 48/13 K/BB ratio though. :puke
  24. QUOTE(ScottPodRulez22 @ Jun 16, 2005 -> 11:23 PM) He was only looking for 2 ticket you might have been looking for more? I was looking for 2 as well. I guess ticketmaster just doesn't like
