Relationship Advice Thread
QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 18, 2015 -> 04:18 PM) It's like people that don't tip bartenders. If I'm drinking heavily, I may miss one now or then, but I will always tip $1-2 per drink. I usually start off with a real nice tip on my first few drinks so the bartender knows who I am and then will tip a $1 per drink going forward. And from me that's a nice little night for that bartender.

Where does Jose Abreu rank among MLB's best hitters?
I think at the end of this year we'll be able to make a convincing argument that he's the best hitter in baseball.

The Fashion Thread
QUOTE (iamshack @ Feb 17, 2015 -> 06:15 PM) Actually, if you lose that weight, you may enjoy wearing nice things more. I eat relatively well and I work out 3-4 times a year for most of the year. Part of the benefit of staying in that kind of shape is showing it off by wearing well-fitting clothes. If you google "How much should I spend on a suit," most publications/blogs will say it doesn't necessarily matter...what matters most is that the suit fits you like a glove. This is true, except with the caveat that the better quality suit, the better the chances of it fitting like a glove. For off the rack suits, the way the suit is constructed often is correlated with how much the tailor can alter it. It doesn't necessarily have to be very expensive for it to fit you well, but it helps if it is made to some minimum level of quality/materials. I know that when I got in better shape I really got a boost of confidence and that confidence was further increased by dressing well. Like I mentioned earlier, wearing a nice suit or even a really nicely fitting shirt can be your "armour." I feel like staying in good shape and dressing well is an investment in my career, to be honest. I'm sure most people don't think about clothes this way, but I've found it to be very true for me. I'm far from a fashion guy but I also started to buy and wear much nicer clothes when I got in better shape.

2014-2015 MLB off season player movement and rumors thread
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Feb 17, 2015 -> 12:39 PM) In all seriousness, with all of the lefties we have, plus Rodon on the way, he'd be a fool to sign with us because he'd have next to no chance at ever pitching in the majors for us. And no chance to pitch against us.

Hawk on the Score with Mully & Hanley this morning
I love the Farmer and DJ pairing. It has nothing to do with baseball but they're so damn weird and awkward that they make me laugh when I listen to them. But like others have said, I guess that'd probably change if I listened to them a lot.

I am drunk 2015
QUOTE (raBBit @ Feb 15, 2015 -> 01:31 PM) I am not sure if I am hungover or allergic to lobster but I am having a rough morning. I hope it's the former because I love lobster. Drink more. That's what I'm doing.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Feb 13, 2015 -> 12:21 PM) What the hell is their left to do? Sign A-Rod after he's DFA'd? Always the trade market. Seems unlikely this late in the game but you never know.

2015 Catch-All thread
QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 13, 2015 -> 06:15 AM) Anyone ever been to Zanies in Rosemont? Going to see Iliza Shlesinger in May. Went to the one in Vernon Hills once before it closed but was wondering what the lay out was like because she goes on at 9:30 but Richard Lewis is on at 7pm. So it is a separate room they clear out after he is done? Jeff Garlin is there as well a few weeks before but would rather see the hot girl. I obviously don't go out much. Wow isn't that like twice in 3 weeks going out for you? Are you going to be able to make it to 9:30?

White Sox sign Matt Albers
QUOTE (flavum @ Feb 13, 2015 -> 10:34 AM) Houston Chronicle saying 1.5 mil if he makes the team. With Albers and Crain in the mix, Daniel Webb and Javy Guerra should probably feeling a little heat going to Glendale. There's definitely some competition for the last few bullpen spots and that's a good thing.
