  1. QUOTE (shysocks @ Oct 14, 2014 -> 09:47 AM) You can speculate on who was clean but there's no type to identify. Ryan Braun and Roger Clemens cheated. So did Alex Sanchez and Guillermo Mota. The 2005 Sox probably had some users; I bet every team still does. Trying to worry too much about it will just drive you crazy. I can guarantee you the 05 Sox had multiple users. I couldn't tell you who but there's no chance they were clean because no team was.

I must read up on the Civil War story in Marvel, sounds very cool.
  3. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 14, 2014 -> 09:46 AM) I think there is more of a tendency for this to happen when you don't live where the team you cheer for plays. I'm still a huge Bears fan, but since moving away, I notice not being constantly in the Bears incubator of water cooler talk, sports radio, local news, etc., sort of allows you to have more diverse interests. That makes sense. I know for me that there are some teams I care so much about(Bulls, Sox, SIU basketball) that there's just no way I could actually root for another team in that sport.
  4. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 10:29 PM) Sup ham face. Made me a legend around that apartment.
  5. QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Oct 14, 2014 -> 07:33 AM) I thought Raw was great last week outside the last 30 minutes. Really enjoyed the matches. Orton-Ziggler was awesome and Rollins-Swagger was damn good too.
  6. Well SIU fans just when things are looking up for the program it appears that Smithpeters did something really, really bad. Fantastic.
  7. Really stupid, just protect Cena as much as possible. Oh well at least the end result is Ambrose and Rollins in the cell.
  8. QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Oct 8, 2014 -> 08:38 AM) Are you from Maine South? Nah, Stevenson. I might be off a year.
  9. Brian are you going to quit covering HS sports when Stevenson wins state in football and basketball this year?
  10. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 02:51 PM) I'm not sure he's that much better than Abreu at 1B right now. He might have been better in his prime, but his fielding numbers have been below average the past few years. Abreu was a DH for 35 games last year and didn't hit that much worse than when he played 1B. I don't think he's one of those guys that only hits when he plays the field. You can have LaRoche as the primary 1B and form some kind of platoon to give Abreu reps there as well. Fair on LaRoche, I really didn't look into his defensive statistics this season so that's an oversight on my part. With Abreu it's more that I don't think the Sox want to make him a primary dh at this stage whether he hits fine from that spot or not.
  11. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 02:30 PM) I wouldn't want him for more than 2 years. He wouldn't be a bad option if it's 2 years and $16-$20 million. I like the idea, the only thing that worries me a bit is he's clearly a better 1b than Jose but you're not going to dh Abreu at the moment.
  12. I was in the Soulard/downtown St. Louis area all day and night on Saturday and didn't see any protests or anything crazy going on, so there's that.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 12:05 PM) I heard this from people that were at the Podsednik walk off in the world series. People flip out when crazy things happen, im sure there are many fans that feel their stadium was the loudest ever when [insert amazing feat] happened. It could be where I was sitting or the fact that I was just so damn happy when Pods hit the walk off but I'll always remember USCF being louder for Iguchi's homer in game 2 of the ALDS than it was for Scott's walk off. I always tell people that the 2 loudest moments at a stadium/ballpark/whatever for me were Iguchi's homer and CM Punk in 2011, seriously...
  14. I found both WSI and this board in 2003 but when I first started posting I was mostly on WSI. But between the Mods just being complete assholes there, the minor league coverage here and just the people in general, I switched over here and completely stopped posting there within the year.
  15. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 13, 2014 -> 11:18 AM) Are the Browns good? 3-2 and next three games are Jaguars, Raiders and Bucs. They could be 6-2. I actually think they are pretty decent. They'll probably lose one of those games though cause NFL.
  16. God f***in damn it.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Oct 12, 2014 -> 10:38 PM) Had to look it up myself. Looks like a lesser Avengers, core members are Hulk, Sub-Mariner(Namor) and Dr Strange. Interesting. Thanks.
  18. That was great. Take the lead now, Cardinals West.
  19. Odell Beckham could become quite the fantasy player now.

Kyyle, Q...brief description of The Defenders?
  21. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Oct 12, 2014 -> 09:01 PM) I'm expecting a Giants comeback in the 2nd half. Hey guys I think I was wrong.
  22. I'm expecting a Giants comeback in the 2nd half.
  23. Having the home team have to call a timeout because the crowd is too loud is one of the cooler things I've seen all year. Kudos Bears fans.
  24. Rodgers is straight up filthy.
