  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 10, 2014 -> 11:57 AM) http://www.boxoffice.com/latest-news/2014-...torm-takes-800k Never in a million years expected Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to perform so well. Megan Fox power? Of course, she was famously dumped by Michael Bay for the 3rd Transformers movie (and it's ironic she's in another completely "non-intellectual" Bay movie again). People just love the Ninja Turtles.
  2. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 10, 2014 -> 07:30 AM) I used to watch it when I was younger but there are so many errors and wild pitches that score runs that I find it more sloppy. They also need to move the fences back. I loved watching it when I was a kid, I just can't get into it now for whatever reason.
  3. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 10, 2014 -> 11:45 AM) 14:$2M, 15:$2M, 16:$3M, 17:$3M, 18:$4M, 19:$4M, 20:$4M Jorge Soler's contract. Likely to replace Alexei Ramirez's first deal, Chris Sale/Jose Quintana or Steve Trout's first 3 years as the friendliest contract in MLB. The last three years of Mike Trout's new deal, $100 million, or $33.33 million per season. Steve Trout is a baller.
  4. QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 10, 2014 -> 07:19 AM) Why the hell does the guy get out of his car and confront someone in a race car on a dirt track? This. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 10, 2014 -> 07:29 AM) How can you tell it was on purpose? I finally brought myself to watch the video and can't tell if there is intent or not. The kid is walking in the middle of a car race. WTF. And this. No clue if it's on purpose or not.
  5. Danish is starting to become an extremely exciting prospect.
  6. QUOTE (Boogua @ Aug 6, 2014 -> 07:20 AM) I'm kind of surprised that MSU hasn't scheduled one of his officials yet. This whole thing makes me feel like the Illini are in a lot better shape with Brunson than I originally thought. He's visiting MSU Sept 19-21.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 8, 2014 -> 10:01 AM) I totally disagree and want Rose to play every single game he can before the season. If he's going to get hurt he's going to get hurt, limiting his minutes or time on the court just isn't going to prevent it. We've already seen that, a year and a half off and he lasted 10 games. When the regular season rolls around you can't bench him until the playoffs to protect his health. Best we can do is have him get himself 100% ready to go and be ready for game speed by the first game of the season. If he gets hurt, he gets hurt. Yup.

QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 08:35 PM) After the HOH celebration, if these other nimrods don't see the alliance, they should just leave. It's funny to see Caleb think he knows what's going on. Derrick has this house on lock.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 08:32 PM) Guess who left the game after getting hit on the hand by a pitch? Yep, Avi What the f***in hell?
  10. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 08:27 PM) I must have missed the conference call where everyone decided that Kevin Love is injury prone. Yes, he missed a ton of games in 12/13 with the broken hand. Other than that, he's played 77, 55 (lockout year), 73, 60 and 81. Even with the lockout subtracting 16 potential games, that's an average of about 70 a year. Unless you expect him to hurt himself while doing pushups on a yearly basis, that's not really much of a history to go on. Irving has a much more sketchy history so far. Besides, even if they do get hurt, they have two guys that can put up numbers off the bench in Waiters and Thompson (I'm assuming Varejao and Marion start). I find this position funny given the team we all support. Even if you ignore Rose (which is a glaring issue to ignore), Noah has played 70 games once in the last 5 years (lockout caveat as well to be fair) and is frequently hobbling around in the playoffs, Gasol has missed 55 games the last two years and Butler had issues last year as well. That's really a case of the crow calling the raven black. There are enough real issues to worry about with Cleveland without picking nits. The bottom line is they're adding the best player in the league and another top-15 player without losing anything mind-blowing from last year's squad. I think they'll probably get the 2 seed because they'll have to work out some kinks, but they'll be a force to be reckoned with at the end of the year. Well you know the Bulls are going to win their regular season trophy.

Hey finally a non unanimous eviction!
  12. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 07:43 PM) So, with LaVine and Wiggins the TWolves are gonna have some fun highlights this year. They're going to win the NBA high jumping contest.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 06:43 PM) You guys are forgetting the one great match ADR had with....well there was that one angle where....I mean he did.....nevermind. Deuces The double turn with Ziggler last year at Payback was pretty damn awesome.
  14. QUOTE (scs787 @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 05:49 PM) No loss there, he did nothing for me. He was like the Gordon Beckham of the WWE, always given chances, never really doing anything. He was just plain boring. Good worker but could never get over cause he was so bland, especially after they broke him and Ricardo up. I am interested to hear about this altercation that finally got him released though
  15. WWE announced the release of Alberto Del Rio due to unprofessional conduct and an altercation with an employee.
  16. Outside of Rodon, I think Marcus is the most sure thing in our system. He might not have the ceiling of a Tim Anderson but to me, Semien is going to be at least an average mlb starter for a long, long time.
  17. QUOTE (Eminor3rd @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 10:24 AM) You can be aggressive and not run full speed into a wall to try to catch a ball that landed like five rows back. Absolutely but I always have a hard time getting angry at guys for doing stuff like that. Obviously it's better for everyone if they just tone it down but sometimes a player/person is just wired to go all out, all the time.
  18. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 04:08 PM) I'm a Michigan fan. Wanted to go, was accepted, but didn't feel like paying my whole life. Since I didn't go there, I've never felt comfortable trash talking other fans. Just follow and pull for them. You better not be cheering for Michigan when that SIU-UM National Championship happens in basketball.
  19. Good job per usual, guys. Not sure how you do it, I have enough trouble putting together a top 10 with out arguing with myself.
  20. It's still extremely early but that Peavy trade has the potential to be unbelievable for us.
  21. I think it's perfectly fine to be a big time fan of a school you didn't go to but I do think it's pretty bizarre when you root for that school over the one you actually went to if they were to play in something.
  22. QUOTE (Boogua @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 03:49 PM) Said the same stuff? I recall people like Jeff Van Gundy predicting them to break the wins records and everyone pretty much thinking they were a lock to win the finals until the season actually started and they started to look vulnerable. Van Gundy is a moron. I still don't think some people understand how truly difficult it is to win 72 games. I don't think that record will be broken in my lifetime.
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 03:47 PM) Eh, would prefer they suspend Broussard for writing "SOURCES" for PR releases. Lebatard is who he is. Nobody should be surprised. I loved how after the LeBron SI story came out, Broussard tweeted something along the lines of "sources confirm SI story." Thanks Chris. And I agree about Lebatard.
  24. QUOTE (Andy the Clown @ Aug 7, 2014 -> 03:45 PM) I happen to think that present day Tony Gwynn could still outhit present day Gordon Beckham. Please discuss. I'll hang up and listen. I laughed.
