  1. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 6, 2013 -> 07:29 AM) I applied there and was accepted but there was no way I could afford to go so I went to SIU. I loved my Carbondale time but I shouldve just sucked it up and went to Ann Arbor and worried later about student loans. How dare you.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 6, 2013 -> 12:35 AM) So, how is that trolling? I literally took that pic from a rival's site where they said wow this proves it was good. I'll stop since clearly folks are angry about the game, but I havent trolled for reactions in all my years on this site. Frankly thats a decent insult. I certainly don't think you're trolling, you're just being a homer. I'm not angry about that play cause no one has any idea if he got it or not. That being said his knee was clearly off the ground by the time he gathered control of the ball, where he was eventually down I have no clue because we had awful angles, nobody knows.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 6, 2013 -> 12:23 AM) Looks pretty secure there. Hand wrapped around ball, ball on ground, knee on ground. Ha, you're definitely now being a homer.
  4. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 6, 2013 -> 12:16 AM) He doesn't have the ball yet. It's very clear on the replay that his knee is off the ground when he gains control of the ball.
  5. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 6, 2013 -> 12:07 AM) Have any details? How was his shot? I can't wait to see Rose again in person. He didn't take any jump shots, shot a floater or two, besides that everything was going to the hoop.
  6. Btw Jimmy Butler is going to hurt some other sg's this year, that kid is beast mode.
  7. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 5, 2013 -> 11:49 PM) How'd he look? I missed the game. Exactly how you'd hope. The rust was very relevant but the explosiveness and athleticism are there.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 5, 2013 -> 11:10 PM) Or all the refs and the replay official. Still wouldn't have won. The play stood, it wasn't confirmed, they had no idea either.
  9. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 5, 2013 -> 11:02 PM) Really obvious he was short. You guys are both being ridiculous.
  10. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 5, 2013 -> 10:50 PM) The back angle where there is no depth perception? His knee was down and the. He was short. The 75 holding calls that were blown help nw anyway. Escaped and advanced. His knee was definitely not down and I think he did get the 1st but as you said no depth perception on that one angle so we have no idea. I'm still wondering how they don't have a camera on the other side of the field.
  11. Back door cover of the century.
  12. How is there not a camera on the other side of the field?
  13. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 5, 2013 -> 07:11 PM) The day I have my first child will not be as happy as tonight. Derrick Rose is back, he's inviting contact, and I am finally, finally f***ing at peace. Welcome back, Derrick. Bulls will be champs this year. Book it. Had to change my pants a few times in the first half! He's clearly rusty as hell as his ball handling is real off but the athleticism is there(and that's all that matters at the moment), had a few explosive plays in the first half.
  14. Taj and Stacey just broke the satellite...DAMN IT
  15. 18 months, finally.
  16. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 07:37 PM) This is all very personal. What works for you, or me, will not work for others in most cases. I work out at 11am, myself, and I find it great. Others, like your, prefer it earlier...the only thing I'd recommend against is really late night workouts...such as 8pm or later, unless it's the only time you can do it. Yup no doubt. Just a suggestion to switch it up if he's not getting the work outs he wants. I just started working out mornings 6 weeks ago and I've just been killing it. Works so much better for me.

How many seasons have there been of Homeland? I think I might pick that up this weekend before the Bulls/Hawks/NU trifecta tomorrow night.
  18. Rock when do you work out? The last 2 months, I've switched to working out in the morning before work and I've never had better work outs. Not saying that's for everybody but I just seem to have more energy that way.
  19. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 01:01 PM) sig bet For the rest of the season? Sure. I mean I'll do one for this week too because why not but as I said I don't think you can go wrong either way(though I like Brady a little bit better).
  20. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 12:42 PM) Why on earth would you start Brady over Rivers, especially given those matchups (kind of a response to Rowand here). You ride Rivers. He's legitimately my 3rd ranked QB in the league this week with that matchup against Oakland (behind Manning against Dallas whom Rivers shredded last week and Rodgers against Detroit). Brady hasn't been very impressive at all this year. Rivers has been a monster and all of his statistics say it's for real. And he's f***ing playing Oakland. Cinci and Oakland are almost identical in pass defense this year so the matchup is basically moot. Brady also gets one of his weapons back and has progressively been getting better the last few weeks after a terrible week 2. Obviously Rivers has been better so far this season but I'll take Brady for the rest of the season, starting with this week.
  21. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 12:16 PM) No time to go grocery shopping, plus I'm regularly back and forth between two residences, which is annoying. It's something I need to make time for, no doubt. Get a jar of Peanut Butter, seriously.

  23. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 11:02 AM) I guess I view conference championship implicating game as more important than an early big ten matchup, even if on national tv. Of course, I'm also probably understating how awful NW football was in the past compared to where it is now (even though I don't think the "now" is anywhere close to where Greenberg and Wilbon think it is). Well besides the Rose Bowl year when have they really been in a conference championship implicating game? And sure this is early in the season but it could have some serious ramifications on the Big 10 Championship this year. As Rock said as well, this game can be huge as far as recruiting goes with the extra exposure. This is pretty huge for that program.
  24. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 4, 2013 -> 11:28 AM) Speaking of, I havent seen anything definitive on that yet. Obviously I'm no doctor but I almost think that he was hit right above the knee where it f***in kills for a few days but nothing that'll keep him out for a long period of time.
