  1. I apologze to the rest of this site for actually asking this question but greg when does it stop being coincidence that these big name players are flopping under Ozzie and thriving under different leadership?
  2. I say we trade Peavy and Matt, rest Sale the rest of the season and go with a pitching staff entirely made of rookies...
  3. Konerko is just regressing back to the mean here, it was going to happen. He's still this teams best hitter, you don't move him out of the clean up hole.
  4. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jul 15, 2012 -> 03:41 PM) They've been doing it a lot less recently. I had no problem with going with the bunt there, we were playing for one run and having guys at second and third greatly increases our chance of scoring. I understand all of that but we just suck at executing it. Id rather let gordo just try to hit then bunt. And god damn it, thought ale had that.
  5. This organization just needs to rid itself of the bunt.

Holy lord the last few episodes in season 3 of Breaking Bad are unf***in real.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 14, 2012 -> 02:13 AM) Great win. Great fireworks show. Some musings. ... I will say I was completely calm the whole game until Reed sucked. Man I wanted him to get the three-out save, instead of suck. I never thought Axelrod could do it, but he did. Two innings. Man he was good. Tank's three-run bomb. So huge. I was proud of Beckham for serving that hit into rightfield after having a fairly s***ty offensive game. And really happy Youk hit the sac fly to center after all those foul balls. He's still got it. I don't understand why Hudson was running so slow on the play he got thrown out at the plate. I hear it was a bad call at home, but he either got a late start or something cause it was pretty obvious he was a dead duck. Q did not pitch well. AJ is such a stud. Hits what could have been the game winning hit had it not hopped over the wall. And he was so mad at that s***ass home plate ump. He gave it to him during the game and after the final out. That ump SUCKED. Got pulled over by the cops for going 82 in a 70 on the way home and didn't get a ticket. So my luck held on dollar hot dog night. Good win. I love when people at the game think they know about the strike zone, you don't have a damn clue.
  8. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 02:22 PM) Experience doesn't always mean better. And Street is injury-prone. And calling Volquez a "quality" starter is a bit of a stretch. I think "experience" has become my least favorite word when describing someones worth as a player.
  9. This thread reminds me of the movie goodburger. How sad is that?
  10. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 03:27 PM) Want me to send thousands of idiot students to your door? I was more talking to people of this site. Trust me, I know this f***er is still going to have millions of supporters.
  11. QUOTE (SnB @ Jul 12, 2012 -> 08:53 AM) tryin to watch my calorie intake. Ya you definitely need to do that...
  12. His career moved to Miami and then he hung himself with the twitter thing. Couldn't have happened to a better guy.
  13. QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 11:14 AM) At least this means C.J. Watsuck is gone now. Yay for that CJ Watsuck? Goodness that is awful.
  14. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 7, 2012 -> 03:06 PM) "I always tell people I get remembered for 2 things in this city, striking out and getting punched in the face". -AJ Ha that's awesome.
  15. Just have Sale, Peavy and Q set up for Detroit.
  16. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jul 8, 2012 -> 09:30 AM) We have the resources to land any pitcher that becomes available. The question is how much will we be willing to give up. I feel comfortable with Peavy at this point, and Sale looks as strong as ever. If Danks is going to come back any time soon, we won't have a spot for another SP anyways, given the way Gavin has pitched recently and of course, the Feathered. We absolutely do not have the resources from a talent perspective to land a top end starter.
  17. There's no need to go after a back end starter and we don't have the resources to land a top line starter so stay put. I know we're all overly paranoid about Sale and Peavy but realistically at this point they're both completely healthy and we're all worried about nothing.
  18. Is this where we all collectively laugh out loud? And sarcasm by everyone or not, throwing the idea of trading Sale out there makes me puke.
