QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 17, 2011 -> 04:36 PM) It's quite simple. I don't see how anybody can call him a "piece of trash manager" when he led a CHICAGO team to a WS. When I see outlandish s*** like that, I feel like saying something in support of Oz. You can say he lost the team but he's not a piece of trash manager. I mean he's been in Chicago longer than most managers/coaches stay with their teams. Change is coming but if he was total trash Florida wouldn't be ready to sign him for four years. Adam Dunn hit 40 homeruns with 101 rbi's and a .927 ops in 2005. Jake Peavy was one of the best pitchers in baseball Viciedo was 17 Alexei Ramirez was in Cuba Sergio Santos was a shortstop somewhere Matt Thornton and Gavin Floyd were failed 1st round picks Ya, I see your point, nothing has changed since 05.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 17, 2011 -> 04:14 PM) I honestly see Ortiz getting killed. Even when he beat Berto, it wasn't in some uber dominating fashion. Ortiz isn't refined enough. I see Floyd in a decision. I want nothing more to see Victor knock his ass out though.

Chapter 151: the future (6:10pm, CSN)

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 17, 2011 -> 01:40 PM) Morel's not the first rookie to start slow and finish strong. Don't think it has anything to do with the games being meaningless. As if the pitchers are saying, "Hey, since your team is out of it, will take it easy on you from here on out." Agreed. That being said, Beckham did this same crap last year(as you've pointed out before), it's certainly been encouraging to watch Brent the last few months but I'm still not sold on him being the answer going forward though he's certainly going to be our starting 3b going into next season. -
QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 17, 2011 -> 08:05 AM) I got goosebumps about 5 different times. Did you like Angle's powerbomb? ha

QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Sep 17, 2011 -> 12:03 PM) Don't mind if they are all back. I like a guy who speaks his mind Too bad he's all talk.

Knock his ass out, Victor!

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 11:40 AM) Chiefs and Lions as the CBS early game? Lame *checks couch cushions for money to invest in Sunday Ticket* Fantasy football has made it impossible for me not to go to a bar on Sundays to watch every game but Lions-Chiefs really isn't that horrendous of a tv game. Should actually be a fun one to watch. -
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 16, 2011 -> 06:12 AM) I will support absolutely none of this darkness and negativity. If Boston loses out and we win out, that's a WC tie, baby! Just win, baby! All you gotta do is believe. I refuse to recognize MLB's rules for winning the division. The AL central is still ours, despite what Bud Selig says!

QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 10:15 PM) I agree with this I've got nothing at all against Tebow, I'm not a "hater" (he really seems to have a lot of honest-to-God haters, for no real reason) but it just doesn't seem like the things he got by on in college are going to fly against faster, stronger, just generally superior NFL defenses. By all accounts he's a great guy, and has a strong work ethic, but that's a LOT of work he has to do. Unless you're Mike Vick, and even he is debatable, you just won't amount to much of anything as an NFL quarterback without at least some passable throwing accuracy. Not that I think he can't... it's just expecting an awful lot that has no guarantee of happening even with hard work. Like telling a 27-year old Juan Pierre "you can increase your SLG% by 100 points, just hit the gym. You can do it, you're a hard worker!" Most Tebow hate is media driven, no doubt about it. People just get tired of hearing about the guy. Obviously that's not his fault but he's not the only athlete it has happened to. -
QUOTE (danman31 @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 10:49 PM) Haha good to see a league champ in the system, even if it's rookie ball. At least there's something about this organization that isn't completely worthless. Congrats Great Falls!! And obviously he's much too advanced for rookie ball but it will be fun to see what Kevan Smith can do next year.

Sunny wasn't great, not awful. The limo scene had me rolling though.
-
I really don't care what MLB says, the Sox are still in the playoff hunt. Lets do this!!!!

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 05:01 PM) He's not a HOF. But Maggs has been pretty damn consistent (some years spectacular) for over a decade. Yeah, he blows this year. He's 37 now. But a .314/.376/.519/.895 slashline and 130 OPS+ from '99 through '10 is nothing to sneeze at. The guy has been damn good but belongs no where near the HoF.

Laughs out loud.

QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 02:42 PM) Bronocs Fans Plan Anti-Orton Billboards Looks like Orton is getting the Grossman treatment in Denver. Watch the video, Skip Bayless is a total miscreant. Stupid. Orton was actually a solid qb last year as well, certainly nothing spectacular but Tebow and Quinn wouldn't even come close to his production this season. -
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 02:33 PM) D'oh! Oh well, at least Sunny is on. I've been thinking they were premiering the same night for a while now. My bad I honestly just assumed that at first as well. I finally realized that the League hasn't been getting advertised like Sunny the past few weeks and looked it up and it indeed starts a few weeks later.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 01:47 PM) Interesting concept I know, right? I'm crazy, what can I say. BTW, I'm still not buying that Ozzie is gone until Ozzie is gone. I feel like this organization wants to torture me as much as possible and I really do still believe that Ozzie will be back next season.

Puts his players in the best position to succeed.

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 02:27 PM) OMG, The League is on tonight? Holy s***, I thought it was October something. Are you sure it's new tomorrow? I have not seen many commercials. The League is October 6th. Some people just assumed it was tonight because it's been on after Sunny for the last 2 years.
-
How dare you accuse a Saluki of roiding. That's unpossible.
-
My biggest minor league man crush ever was Brandon McCarthy but he's obviously not a bust. Would be nice to see what he could do if he ever stayed healthy.
-
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Sep 15, 2011 -> 07:27 AM) Always Sunny and The League premiere tonight! Soooooooooo pumped for Sunny!!!! Gotta wait a few more weeks for the League.

Not sure how many people watch "Deadliest Warrior" but I'm pretty sure it jumped the shark tonight. Too bad.
