QUOTE (Rowand44 @ May 26, 2011 -> 06:02 PM) With the way the AL is shaping up, Boston might just run through this league in the playoffs. Speaking of, remind me to start buying some Phillies gear because the Heat, Canucks and Red Sox all winning a championship in the same year is too much for me.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 26, 2011 -> 04:52 PM) Awful news about Posey. Just destroyed my fantasy team(and yes EVERYONE cares about my fantasy team). QUOTE (Jordan4life @ May 26, 2011 -> 04:53 PM) Their talent has taken over. I was laughing when dumb Red Sox fans were acting like, well, we do. With the way the AL is shaping up, Boston might just run through this league in the playoffs.

QUOTE (Pale Sox @ May 25, 2011 -> 02:28 PM) Kevin Goldstein today: "Dayan Viciedo, 1B/OF, White Sox (Triple-A Charlotte): 3-for-4, 3 2B, 2 R, RBI. Up to .318/.362/.538 in 44 games and Juan Pierre still plays every day in the big leagues" I think that about sums it up.

Wake up, wake up, Sox win!!!
Even if their stats are pretty similar this season, Danks has a track record of being a very good pitcher while Edwin doesn't. To me this isn't a very hard decision and would have already been made if it wasn't for Edwin's contract.

QUOTE (SleepyWhiteSox @ May 25, 2011 -> 02:32 AM) I mean really though, what more are you realistically expecting him to do given the personnel on both sides of the ball?? When it comes down to crunch time, it's glaringly obvious that it's 3 against 1, particularly in terms of the level of talent it takes to consistently put the ball in the basket. Unfortunately, that is what it literally became at the end of regulation because you just could not trust anyone else on the Bulls at that point to hit a big shot. He's trying to do EVERYTHING because he HAS to. He's not succeeding because there's MORE ELITE TALENT on the other side. It's really that easy. I want him to try and do everything, I have NO problem with that. The problem I have with him right now, is he's afraid to go to the basket down the stretch. The dumbest f***in thing to try and do is shoot a f***in jump shot over a guy that's 5 inches taller than you. I really couldn't give a f*** if he takes every god damn shot in the 4th quarter but he needs to get back to attacking the rim, I'm not really sure when he's become so timid about doing so but it's pissing me off.

Beckham : 298/.379/.456/.835 in May.
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 24, 2011 -> 04:43 PM) Back to Beckham. Do you guys have more confidence in Rios or Beckham to pull out of it this year and end up with close to a 775-800 OPS for the season? I'll go with Beckham, simply based on the fact that he has to be an 825-850 OPS guy at 2B in the future for this team to have any chance. I can live with Rios at 725-750, but not anywhere close to 600. That's Juan Pierre bad. In fact, worse than Juan Pierre, and AJ, and Dunn (around 670-680 because of the walks and doubles), and Beckham. (Final comment, thank God they replaced Kiera Knightley in Pirates...I just saw her in a movie called "Last Night" with the scrumptious Eva Mendes and Sam Worthington and she REALLY looked anorexic, her hip bones were jutting out. Penelope Cruz and the new mermaid were at least a change of pace from previous POTC movies...) Beckham, though I have no faith in either him or Rios at this point.

Shutouts ... FYI
QUOTE (StatManDu @ May 24, 2011 -> 02:55 PM) MARK BUEHRLE was the last White Sox pitcher to fire a complete game shutout against a reigning American League champ. On July 23, 2009, Buehrle threw a perfect game against the Tampa Bay Rays at U.S. Cellular Field. That was a good game.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ May 24, 2011 -> 03:29 PM) For a SI Swimsuit type model, she's (B. Decker) not what I would call thin...more the Kathy Ireland type, if you remember way back when. Of course, like almost all 90's-00's "It" girls, she's done the whole boob job thing, so that makes her look a bit unnatural. For her sake, I hope she's nothing like her ditzy character in the "Just Go With It" flick that was absolute cringe-worthy and almost Taylor Swift/Valentine's Day bad. And the new Transformers girl from Victoria's Secret does absolutely nothing for me either, at least in the previews/pictures I've seen so far. Decker really isn't that skinny at all. This was quite the thread hijack.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ May 24, 2011 -> 11:14 AM) Here's a guy who I think could be the perfect fit for the Bulls in the draft. http://www.wsucougars.com/sports/m-baskbl/...son_klay00.html Unfortunately, he probably won't slip to the Bulls pick even if they package both first-round picks to move up. Ironically, Klay Thompson is Trayce's brother. Klay would be the perfect 2-guard for the Bulls. Ya, I brought him up a while ago, he'd be ideal. Like you said though, not falling to the Bulls draft position unfortunately.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ May 23, 2011 -> 03:59 PM) Wade threw the ball off of the Ref, so it was ref interference. Which is why the ref kept saying "My bad" Ya, Wade threw it off the refs hand. I don't know the exact rule for that but if anything the ref is usually in play so you'd think that just be a turnover on Miami anyways. Oh well, certainly didn't effect the outcome of the game.

My White Sox Hat Collection
QUOTE (ChrisLikesBaseball @ May 20, 2011 -> 10:21 AM) I picked up the Sox 2011 Stars and Stripes cap the other night at Grandstand. This one might be my favorite of the Stars and Stripes looks, but mostly because I love the old-school look of caps that have a different color for the crown panels. I don't know that they'll look great with the Sox uniforms, but none of them have really, so that's not a major concern. Pics: Ya, love that.

QUOTE (lostfan @ May 22, 2011 -> 11:18 PM) He wasn't good on defense but he never is. I can live with that if he's going to get 17 boards. Joakim was on Bosh just as much, and if not for a handful of slick feeds to Boozer he would've almost literally done nothing. I mean if someone wants to point out "the problem" start there. Boozer is what he is defensively, we all know that. He still did things tonight that just anger you but as you said if he's going to put up 26 and 17 I can deal with it. He's far from the reason we lost this game.
