  1. QUOTE (danman31 @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 09:30 PM) Yeah he went from under the radar to overrated. Agreed.
  2. Escobar over Dayan and Mitchell, eh? Very interesting.
  3. QUOTE (SnB @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 01:06 PM) IE: a ton of people said they "didn't care/watch" the mlb playoffs/world series this year. I was one of those people who said that after the Sox got eliminated in 06. I also can tell you that I really didn't watch any of the postseason until game 7 of the NLCS that year. Baseball is the only sport I'd ever do that for though, as my love for the Sox is infinitely more so than it is for the sport itself.
  4. QUOTE (chisoxfan09 @ Jan 25, 2011 -> 12:16 AM) It´s unfortunate he has not been able to develop his offensive as quickly as the hype had made it out to be. He can be solid but for what we paid we have not seen a return at all. Well 2 years left before the ARB kicks in so let´s hope this year he does something. He's already made a ton of strides from the beginning of his first season, he's still got a long way to go but he's 21 for crying out loud, give him some time.
  5. QUOTE (beautox @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 02:16 AM) I personally feel that the Rays and Jays will be sitting atop the east when the season ends. You are crazy, my friend.
  6. I'm sorry but you just can't say a team isn't very good when they make it to the title game in their conference. I was one of the people all year who wasn't sold on them as a legit contender and yes they had some good fortune go there way but they still managed to beat 3 of the better teams in football this year and go all the way to the NFC title game, they were clearly a very good team, there's really no way to argue against that.
  7. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 10:02 PM) Unfortunately Pierre is god-like to Ozzie , one last remnant of his run and shoot offense. Despite his arm, he's a pretty damn good lf too. I know the popular thing around here is to hate on Juan Pierre and I'm certainly not a huge fan of his but he actually is decently important considering him and Rios have to cover a lot of freakin ground to make up for Q's ineptness out there.
  8. QUOTE (everafan @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 10:04 PM) The guy had it coming and was acting like an ahole. What was he doing? And one of these days Oney is going to mouth off to the wrong person and get what's coming to him as well, no doubt.
  9. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 08:22 PM) Kurt Thomas is turning back the clock! I think he put on "The Jersey" and turned into a young Karl Malone tonight. And yes, I just made a Disney Channel tv show reference.
  10. QUOTE (pittshoganerkoff @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 07:37 PM) I've been a die hard Steelers fan my whole life. I was disappointed to see the Bears lose, but I wasn't completely surprised. To be honest, I wouldn't have been surprised to see a Packers/Jets Superbowl. Glad that didn't happen, though, because I would have had to root for the Packers. Here's a question...and I'm not trying to start an argument: If the Eagles had made it to the Superbowl, would there have been as much hate towards Vick as there is towards Roethlisberger? I'm not defending Roethlisberger, because he obviously did something to get suspended. We will probably never know the whole story since there were no charges filed. But, like Vick, I think he paid his dues. They both have seemingly learned from their mistakes. As far as the game, it's going to be tight. I'm thinking it will come down to the last few minutes. For a change, I'm going to predict a defensive play that ends it. Steelers 20, Packers 16. Vick and Ben are both scumbags. If Ben did indeed rape that girl than there's no such f***in thing as paying your dues.
  11. Just thinking out loud but the probable starting lineup for the Eastern Conference all star team is just absurd as far as talent and athleticism are concerned.
  12. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 08:22 PM) Rivers is a first class prick. I've never seen him called a class guy before. That's the first time I've ever heard Rivers or Cutler called classy before. They're both known to be complete assholes.
  13. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 07:04 PM) Wasn't he already in a similar situation, and came out of the game? Ha, that was my initial thought when I heard the interview. The NFL is full of hypocrites apparently.
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 07:55 PM) That's what would have bothered me most if I were a Bears fan. The guy was walking around with no discernible limp and didn't look like he was in any pain. If he was told that they were going with the backup I would have wanted to see him go nuts on the sideline telling Lovie that there's no way he's sitting this one out. So now we're mad at Jay because he didn't put on a show?
  15. Don't even care what MJD said today. He's honestly one of the my favorite players to watch play but this is a guy who sat out the last 2 games when Jacksonville was in the middle of the playoff race so that makes him a bigger p**** than Jay, right? Pot meet kettle.
  16. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 23, 2011 -> 09:07 AM) According to Scott Gregor, Daily Herald White Sox beat writer, his inside sources say Chris Sale is a lock to be the White Sox closer in 2011. Beautiful!
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 07:19 PM) The NFC West is laughing at you. Ya, the central is bad but at least it has 1 really good team in the Bulls. The NFC West is just plain garbage.
  18. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 05:19 PM) Why can't it be, the Bears just got beat by a better team? When it comes down to it, this is exactly what happened. People are just frustrated because as bad as the Bears offense played, the game was really there for the taking against a better team and they still managed to screw some things up to lose it.
  19. Found in Chesterfield, Missouri. Pretty cool.
  20. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 03:46 PM) Secondly, a torn ACL is far, far worse than a torn MCL, is it not? No clue to be honest. And I really wasn't directing that comment toward you, I've just seen people use Rivers as an example because he played through it in the AFC championship that year. People seem to forget the fact that he came out of the game when the injury actually occurred.
  21. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 03:44 PM) No kidding, f***ing Lisa Turtle won a dance contest with a sprain.....doing the sprain If only Screech could have been there to hold Jay's left leg while he was playing!
  22. Are we also just going to overlook the part about Rivers coming out of the game where he actually got that injury?
  23. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 03:23 PM) Link Good stuff.
  24. Cheering for the Steelers so I can win my playoff pool and some money!
  25. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 24, 2011 -> 02:30 PM) There was definitely one shot of Hanie sitting next to Cutler with a book of photos in Hanie's hands. Yes. Thank you.
