  1. Add me to the list that loves what the A's did this offseason.
  2. QUOTE (Felix @ Jan 14, 2011 -> 08:22 AM) Right now, Kevin Love is a better basketball player than Blake Griffin. And considering Love is less than a year older than him... Eh, it's really f'n close.
  3. QUOTE (Swingandalongonetoleft @ Jan 13, 2011 -> 09:00 PM) Maybe so, but 20 years from now when I think back to that play or any defensive play for that matter, I won't remember that an outfielder made a bad read on a ball initially or an infielder took a bad first step, I'll remember being wowed watching it take place. The Buehrle and Iguchi plays will always be the ones I recall first. Uribe made a play that happened to take place on the highest of stages- thats why that one will be special for me. Greatest Sox pickoff? Gotta be Buehrle against Sosa and the Rangers in 2007. The one hitter standing between Buehrle being the only pitcher to throw two perfect games was Chicago's beloved assclown, Sammy Sosa. Pick off and f*** you have the same number of letters. Obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion and I know I'm in the minority on this one but to me Tad's play is one of the more overrated plays I've ever seen. Anyways, I didn't see the count down but this to me is the best defensive play ever, first play shown after the backflip: http://video.yahoo.com/watch/1806999/5964629
  4. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ Jan 13, 2011 -> 04:47 PM) Actually that play by Iguchi was pretty special The "specialness" of it was entirely brought on by himself. It was kind of like an outfielder getting a bad jump on a ball only to make up for it with a diving catch. It really should have been a routine play but he made it into something that looked better than it really was because he stumbled over himself.
  5. QUOTE (Big Daddy Kool @ Jan 13, 2011 -> 02:57 PM) From Cowley's twitter feed: Gordon said that Alexei looked bigger and definitely added some muscle - J.J. Walker no more. Hopefully the added weight doesn't mess with his range at ss.
  6. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 13, 2011 -> 04:14 PM) It was amazing. 1.7 is a terrific number.
  7. Uribe's play should definitely be on there given the situation. Iguchi's play is still one of the more overrated plays of all time imo.
  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 13, 2011 -> 04:00 PM) Rose has jumped ahead of Rondo for All-star game starting PG at the moment. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=6018863 I think Rondo is fantastic [i know we're supposed to hate him. But talent is talent]. But take Rose off the Bulls and you're looking at a slightly better version of the Cavs. Not that, that should mean much when discussing who should start in an all-star game. We can still hate him and admit that he's a fantastic basketball player because he certainly is. That being said, he's just not as good or as valuable as Derrick Rose.
  9. 2009 Pontiac G5 which I got after my Cobalt ended up under a semi. Really do like the car though I wish it was better in the snow.
  10. Seck who has been by far our best player all season has 18 points and 17 rebounds tonight and gets thrown under the bus by Lowery during the post game show. Diamond Taylor who is one of the few players on this team with actual talent gets a DNP coaches decision tonight because we have to play Lowery's f***in cousin and a JC transfer that's complete f***in garbage the whole f***IN GAME. I hate our coach, I hate him so f***in much.
  11. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 12, 2011 -> 06:02 PM) He's just beating Ozzie down there... Don't worry, when we trade Ozzie, it's going to be for Wise not Mike Stanton.
  12. QUOTE (Charlie Haeger's Knuckles @ Jan 12, 2011 -> 02:55 PM) Good thing the Red's catcher knew to pull full guard. That's Paul Wilson actually and his right leg is under Farnsworth's legs so he's not in full guard.
  13. QUOTE (Pale Sox @ Jan 12, 2011 -> 03:31 PM) "I have the ultimate respect for White Sox fans. They were as miserable as the Cubs and Red Sox fans ever were but always had the good decency to keep it to themselves. And when they finally won the World Series, they celebrated without annoying every other fan in the country." - Jim Caple from his latest article updating the team misery indexes. Put this quote in my sig. That's seriously awesome!
  14. Maybe the Rays plan on having a lot of bench clearing brawls this year so they want Kyle around. Otherwise not sure.
  15. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ Jan 12, 2011 -> 10:01 AM) I still like a tall, fast WR....not sure if he was hurt or they just don't like him anymore. He had a couple catches the first couple games then never saw him again. He dropped a couple easy ones at the beginning of the season and that was it for him it seemed.
  16. The fact that Paulie is even getting HoF talk is quite ridiculous imo. Guy has been a very good player through out his career but he's no where near a HoF type.
  17. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Jan 12, 2011 -> 12:29 AM) I'm going to try out for the Cavaliers tomorrow. I'll be their backup SF. Count me in. I can play the 1 or the 2, though I'm pretty short for a NBA sg.
  18. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 11, 2011 -> 08:37 PM) TCU #2 over Oregon? Surprised they didn't get more number 1 votes after watching that crap fest of a game.
  19. Man, I used to be one of the more optimistic posters around when I was younger but that changed big time and I became more of an asshole and more negative as a poster for the last few years. I just have happened to love this offseason and you don't(not that you hate it), J4L. You just have very strong opinions as of late and that's going to rub a lot of people the wrong way and you're going to get fired back at. I'm certainly not trying to pick on you and you know I've respected you as a poster forever but I just happen to disagree with you on a lot of what you've been saying lately and just as you have the right to post your opinions, others have a right to argue some of the things that you've said. Thing is, everyone just has to make sure to not cross the lines on personal attacks which has been happening as of late.
  20. King is definitely a less senile Hawk. Don't really care, I love both.
  21. Rowand44 replied to Kyyle23's topic in SLaM
    QUOTE (Cali @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 04:51 PM) Don't care about Douche.0, Creative. Can't wait for Tosh tonight as it's definitely one of the funnier shows on TV. The onion show definitely has potential but I got a feeling that they'll mess it up, hope I'm wrong.
  22. Guess I'm the only one who can't stand JVG and Mark Jackson? I switch the station just because of them at times.
  23. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 05:49 PM) The Rangers are going to score them some runs. They're going to give up a ton too.
  24. QUOTE (WHarris1 @ Jan 10, 2011 -> 11:01 PM) Ronnie Brewer >>>>>>>>> Keith Bogans Nooooo doubt.
  25. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jan 11, 2011 -> 12:28 AM) I know I'm in the minority but the college game has just lost it appeal on me. I just find the spread offenses gimmicky and while they are creative I can't help but somehow be bored by watching a bunch of defensive players who can't make open field tackles. Maybe I'm a football purist but the pro game has become so much more appealing to me over the last 5 years or so whereas I used to enjoy college much more. I love the college game but I always feel robbed of something after the National Championship game to be honest. Yes, the regular season is fantastic but I'm so f***in over the BCS.
