This is as sad as I've ever been as a sports fan. We lost two legends in one night. Sad, sad, sad. RIP Big Red and RIP Norm.

QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Feb 25, 2009 -> 09:34 PM) Wow. We won. I actually don't believe we didn't fully blow the game and lose. We tried our hardest, that's for sure. Now we actually have something to play for on Saturday. We win and we're the 5 or 6 seed in the MVC tourny and don't have to play in one of the play in games, WOOHOO(wow, I can't believe I'm excited about something like that). -
QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 16, 2009 -> 01:30 PM) So I'm pretty sure I've made more enemies in this last week than I have the rest of my life combined. I'm on quite a roll Got punched in the face again last night(got blind sided when I was trying to get this girl out of the middle of the fight). s***'s been fun down here lately.

Give him a standing O when he gets announced the first time and boo the hell out of him right when he gets in the batters box.

Mardi Gras=Unreal.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 20, 2009 -> 09:02 PM) Glad you will finally see your first pair of bewbs in person. What's a bewb?

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Feb 19, 2009 -> 09:39 AM) I also watched 21 for about the 3rd time in the past month last night. Good film I thought with an absolute class soundtrack (Time to Pretend from MGMT and Young Folks from Peter Bjorn and John for instance). Jim Sturgess reminds me of a taller version of myself also (for some reason). I agree with you. I loved that movie.

'Bout to head to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. If I'm still alive come Monday I'll let you guys know how it went. Should be a blast and I plan to not remember any of it.

In that last picture he almost looks like Frank.

QUOTE (fathom @ Feb 19, 2009 -> 02:14 PM) Yeah, I've been wondering what the hell happened to SIU. Did Lowery cost himself a lot of money by not pursuing a higher level job? The most important thing for SIU now is to keep the 3 frosh in school for their 4 year career. Well Lowery is still making a good amount of money. 750k in Carbondale is a ton of money. But ya, no one is going to want him now that's for sure. Lowery needs to adjust his offensive ways with the skill sets some of these new guys have. I will say Bocot, Booker, Dillard and Hare is a nice little core to build around but they're so f***in unorganized and just plain dumb right now, and yes that goes to inexperience but that has a LOT to do with the coaching staff and that crap needs to be addressed. It's just sad, 2 years ago we had made it to the NCAA's 6 years in a row and were a few calls(not blaming the refs jimbo, just trying to make a point) away from the elite 8 and now we're about to be playing in one of the play in games for the MVC tourny. Sad. -

So at this point in time we might possibly be the worst team in a very bad mvc. It's so sad to see this program now. We were starting(not quite there) to get to a Gonzaga level and all that is gone now. Complete crash. -
Out of "your" Top Five White Sox moments....

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Feb 18, 2009 -> 02:37 PM) The 2005 postseason was so epic that an afterthought is Iguchi's homer in game 2 against Boston. That was probably the second biggest hit the Sox got up before the World Series, everything considered, with Crede's game winning double in game 2 of the ALCS being the biggest because it got the Sox back in the series. I was at that game and that's the loudest I've ever heard a stadium, ever. I was at game 2 of the WS too but after the Konerko and Pods homers everything just kinda went blank for me(sounds ridiculous but it's true). -

1. Game 4 of the World Series 2. Game 2 of the World Series 3. Game 3 of the World Series 4. Game 1 of the World Series 5. Game 5 of the ALCS Yup. -
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 16, 2009 -> 01:29 PM) A lot of talk that Jason Richardson might be coming to Chicago with Larry Hughes being included in the deal. This is because of Richardson's recent problems in Phoenix and most believe a change in scenery is necessary. All I know is Rose, Richar, Deng, Amare, Noah is a pretty damn good starting 5. No word as to how legitimate this portion of the rumor is but it would definately solve some serious problems in Chicago. And of course Gordon still fits into the mix as well. In fact, Chicago could at times go with an incredibly agressive front 5 with Rose/Gordon/Richard/Deng/Amare all on the court at once. And that's why I think it still wont happen.

So I'm pretty sure I've made more enemies in this last week than I have the rest of my life combined. I'm on quite a roll On a totally unrelated note, I'm going to Mardi Gras in New Orleans this weekend. I think I'm going to have a good time.

QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 16, 2009 -> 01:26 PM) No draft picks? Sweet. That'd be a fantastic deal. I'll believe it when I see it though.
-
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 15, 2009 -> 11:49 PM) I know it's not a big deal. Just seems too scripted. The all-star game has lost a lot of luster to begin with. And the whole weekend was pretty much about the "reunion" between Shaq and Kobe. Let's say Shaq doesn't play. Does Amare share the MVP with Kobe? He put up basically the same numbers Shaq did. I'm with you 100 percent on this. Allstar game or not this was clearly a stupid marketing ploy that seems very scripted.

QUOTE (SoxAce @ Feb 3, 2009 -> 02:16 AM) I'm still down on those drinking bets FYI wite, sonix, and rowand. Any time my friend. A little Soxtalk drinking contest would be fun. Out of the 4 people mentioned, I'm guaranteeing wite for last place.

I could really kinda go for a grilled cheese sandwich right now.

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Feb 10, 2009 -> 01:59 AM) If hes paying around that then I should be in carbondale. It is very tough to find a 3 bedroom around here for less than 400. I got a solid 3 bedroom here for 250. The price of living in Carbondale is incredibly cheap. I lived in one of the nicer places you can find down here last school year(4 bedroom) for 400 a month.

QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Feb 10, 2009 -> 01:27 AM) Me and two other guys are living at Creekside (east building, closest to the creek). We could've waited until April but we decided to get it done now and not have to worry about it. Pretty excited to be 50 yards away from Picks, Pinch, Cali's and Copper. Honestly can't beat that location and Creekside has some very solid apartments. You guys paying 280 or around that per month?
-
QUOTE (Jimbo's Drinker @ Feb 10, 2009 -> 01:14 AM) how many keystones are you in? On my 17th right now. Boring night, and I was watching highlights from the WSOBP and decided I want to win next year(and no, I wouldn't win but it'd be a good time).
-
So I'm currently sitting here drinking a 30 of keystone by myself and I've decided that I'm going to win the World Series of Beer Pong next year. I just thought you guys should know.

QUOTE (Felix @ Feb 8, 2009 -> 10:21 AM) You go to polar bear or a different bar? What a great day yesterday was, started drinking at 11 in the morning and stopped at 6 this morning. BTW, Vodka and Redbull must be the worst hangover ever. I'm having one hell of a time typing right now cause my whole body is pretty much tweaking. LOL, my bad guys, apparently my computer is tweaking as well.
