I was at the game in 06. It was pouring, freezing and I remember getting calls from various people saying there were tornado warnings all around the area. I was seriously probably about 1 of 4 people that stayed there for the whole game(got sick as hell the next day). That might have been a little different since it was opening night on ESPN but I'd say it'll be very hard to rain out opening day.

LSU and Butler are the first game on Thursday. Nice game to tip off the best 4 days of the year.

I'm not going to make an argument for Memphis' resume but I'll make an argument for their team. IMO they are by far the best defensive team in the nation and as has been said they've grown a lot as a team since November and December. You beat Gonzaga in Spokane and you're doing something right. I'll say right now that I believe Memphis is going to be back in the final four. Quote me on that.

STL for the first weekend for the MVC tourny and back to the good ol' Dale.

So we somehow managed to nab the 5 seed in the Valley tourny. We pretty much got the best draw we possibly could(BU instead of IlSU in the first round and UNI instead of CU in the semis if we get there) so at least that's something, still holding out for a miracle run here. To be honest though, I'll be shocked if Creighton doesn't take this thing down, the only other team I can possibly see winning is Soxtalk's favorite, Illinois State.

Honestly, I think the janitor might be my favorite character of all time.
