QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 08:59 AM) Did Roundtree really look like he was in bad shape? I had to listen to the game It looked pretty bad at first but he was walking around with out crutches(obviously limping) so who knows. Still haven't heard any word on him yet though. -

QUOTE (Sonik22 @ Nov 13, 2008 -> 12:47 AM) God the arena was nuts tonight! I f***ing love it here! Go Dawgs! Can't beat that atmosphere, eh? Fun stuff last night. It's unbelievable the improvement that Fay has made from last year to this. I've been telling Brian since the first exhibition game that when he's on the court(he keeps getting in f'n foul trouble) he's by far our best player and it's really not even close right now. As for Dillard, he has some ridiculous talent, he needs to start making better decisions though. He was terrible in the first half, pretty much awful but obviously he came back huge for us in the 2nd half. As a side note, looks like Roundtree hurt himself pretty badly which is a shame, I love the way that kid plays the game. He's the perfect role player on a winning team. Next Thursday should be interesting, Fay needs to keep himself out of foul trouble some how. -

QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Oct 16, 2008 -> 10:13 PM) I doubt that happens as SIU would more then likely have to get past UCLA. No. If we get to MSG, we play Duke in the semi's as long as they get there. -

I'm hoping we get to see the SIU-Duke matchup this year at MSG. If that happens, I will definitely be making a road trip to NYC. -

QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 14, 2008 -> 06:59 PM) Sorry, should have said of the modern SIU era that most of us have lived in. The great part for us SIU fans is that he might not even be the most talented player on this team. Individually this is the most talented SIU team since I've been here by far. Like Brian said, they're going to have some growing pains though. What I like about these guys is, they actually have some swagger, there will be some emotion to this team unlike last years, most of these freshman(KD especially) actually want the ball and want to make plays. There is definitely going to be some ups and downs but I'm absolutely pumped for the talent that is on this team. -

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 14, 2008 -> 07:04 PM) Brian who are those bums in your sig? why did you start this thread? now i want Redbird bball to start. oh and the redbirds could quite possibly have the worst non conference schedule of all time. If they are not undefeated going into conference, I will be real upset. If by bums you mean studs then you got, from left to right: Ryan Hare, Bryan Mullins, Anthony Booker, Kevin Dillard and Torres Roundtree. -
Tampa Bay @ Chicago ALDS Game 3- Matt Garza Vs. John Danks 3:07 CT
Rowand44 replied to kman's topic in 2008 Season in Review
Lets worry about tomorrow first, but if we get to game 5, Mark would be on full rest, so it'd be him, no doubt. -
If we can somehow steal this one, we'd be in fantastic shape. I fully expect a loss(no confidence in Javy) but hopefully he proves me wrong. GO SOX!!!
-
Love it. Now man up and do as your manager tells you, Javy.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 22, 2008 -> 06:23 AM) 86-69 +2.5 games over MN. I think it's important to note that we're 3 up in the loss column as well.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Sep 22, 2008 -> 07:29 AM) I really want to see the Sox have DWise in the two hole to start this series. I don't know what their record is, but this team seems to relax tons when they score first, and if they do it early. I would love to see the Sox grind out a first inning run in the first game of the series. I really believe if they do that, they put an ass whippin on the Twins. If not, it could be interesting. Wise should be in left, BA in Center, Pauly at first. Shouldn't be much of a decision but I think we all know this wont be happening.

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 21, 2008 -> 12:28 PM) Parity sucks...I want just the White Sox to make the playoffs every year. I agree.
-
I think I'm going to Minny. I know nobody cares but I thought I'd throw that out there.
-
Of course...
-
There ya go, Gavin.
-
There we go. Now lets get the O going.

QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Sep 20, 2008 -> 06:57 PM) Griffey is not as bad as Mack was, sorry. That. Griffey's bad, Mack was about as bad as there was in the league.
-
This is just scary right now.
-
QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Sep 20, 2008 -> 06:50 PM) This is just unacceptable from Floyd. You see Minnesota has lost, this late in the season, and you're giving up this crap? It has to be treated as a playoff game. Offense included. We should have atleast 4 runs on the board by the 6th inning, and if Floyd has any balls this is where it ends with the runs. Kc sucks. Wow. Floyd has manned up more than anyone this season.
-
QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Sep 19, 2008 -> 11:38 AM) Please tell me Jurassic got some votes. I fully expected him to be decently high. Crazy Carl would have been ridiculously high on my list. Top 10 probably.
-
Lefty Floyd looks to follow in Buehrle's footsteps

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 04:23 PM) Yeah. I mean he's above average, but he's not spectacular. I like how he works fast, attacks, etc. But he doesn't K anyone and relies a ton on defense. Plus he gives up a ton of hits. When you face good hitting ballclubs, that will get you smashed. That's why as a playoff picture, he would be like #3 to me, always. He's a decent guy though and loves to have fun which is what I like. And he's not having fun in a Manny way which is always complain. In a league with superstar ego's, he's a good player with no ego. 3.42 era in his career in the playoffs.

QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Sep 18, 2008 -> 05:03 PM) 50 least favorite Sox players D'angelo Jimenez. I'm done.
