  1. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 31, 2008 -> 10:24 AM) Makes for a tough choice in next year's simulated game fantasy draft. Wood, Prior, Linebrink? Nah, Prior's all about that towel throw.

  4. Dodgeball by far. 4 square was a pretty fun game as well, played that a lot in middle school. And of course, Ghosts in the Graveyard, played that every summer night when I was younger.
  5. QUOTE (G&T @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 10:34 AM) Wait, don't tie breaker's only come into play where there are multiple spots for the playoffs? As I understand it, if the Sox and Twins are tied for the division and the wild card is already decided (for example Boston is the WC) there would be a tie breaking game because they would battling for one spot. On the other hand, if the Sox and Twins tied for the division but one would take the wild card, then the WC would be determined by the tie breaker. In other words, if Boston wins the WC, you can't lose the division by tie breaker. Correct.
  6. QUOTE (YASNY @ Aug 27, 2008 -> 12:33 PM) No, I'm not 100% sure on this one and I didn't research it. But I think that's the way it is. Nah, the Twins and Sox would play each other first and then the loser would play the Red Sox.
  7. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 01:32 PM) Ken Shamrock will fight Kimbo next.... http://www.sherdog.com/news/news/shamrock-...-at-slice-14185 complete dud from the MMA aspect of it, but extremely good business move. Shamrock still has some name left and I predict this doing very solid ratings (which Elite needs, they are bleeding money). If I had faith that Shamrock's ego wouldn't have him try and bang with Kimbo, I would give Ken a good chance in this fight since he has quality submissions, but I don't see him trying to take this down to the mat. That will definitely draw.
  8. Wow, actually surprised to see him this high. He wouldn't have made like my top 1 billion list. Just not a fan personally.
  9. QUOTE (LosMediasBlancas @ Aug 25, 2008 -> 11:51 AM) I agree, one of the worst calls ever. This 'win' doesn't make me feel good, we got swept. We got swept while tied? That's impressive
  10. Thinking back on this past week now, this could have possibly been the strangest week of my life.
  11. Thanks guys. The 24 hour drink fest last night was pretty fun and the only reason I'm awake right now is cause my friend just called me and said "we still have some of that 3rd keg left, you have to come over and finish this off." So back to drinking for me.
  12. Kenny you're so f***in old.
  13. Usually my Authentic Jenks jersey and the game hat. If not my Jenks jersey than either my authentic Garcia or authentic Marte jersey's.
  14. Tony you better be drinking heavily already, my friend. Happy 21st to both of you.
  15. If I made a list Brian would probably be very high as well and the main reasoning is the Cubs fight in 06. To b**** about who someones favorite player is, is pretty stupid.
  16. QUOTE (Jake @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 09:13 AM) It was also a team coming off of a horrid second half. 42 and 34 the 2nd half of 05.
  17. Comparing this team to the 05 team just isn't fair. That 05 team was one of the best teams EVER, some people still don't understand that apparently. This team is definitely struggling right now but I still believe that we're the best team in this division. If(huge freaking if) Vaz can some how get back to pitching like he did in April and May then I think we'd have at least a shot to make some noise in the playoffs. If he doesn't then I think we're one and done, but lets get there and hope some things fall in place.
  18. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Aug 4, 2008 -> 03:45 AM) Oh yeah, I forgot Dye was an absolute stud from the second half on last year. His season last year is a perfect example as to why you don't give up on a hitter who has been good for, you know, like 10 years with perhaps another bad year mixed in there just because they struggle for a while battling injuries, especially at lowest value. I'm so damn glad the Red Sox didn't trade for him last year. And to answer the question, that is probably one of the best free agent signings of the past 10 or 15 years, everything considered. OPS over 1 in 06, going to have an ops over .900 this year and oh ya there was that whole World Series MVP thing. He's done ok.
