  1. QUOTE (TheTruth05 @ Jul 11, 2017 -> 09:33 PM) Smoked the ball in his AB It's that babip regression. Nice to see him out there, he definitely deserves it.
  2. Also the Enzo and Cass stuff has been terrific. I was so tired of them so didn't think I'd care about the split at all but they've both been awesome.
  3. Brian doesn't like Hero or the Bucks. I need new friends.
  4. QUOTE (oldsox @ Jul 8, 2017 -> 06:47 AM) Now I remember. Tax savings. Robert signs a deal for $26 Million, Sox get another similar bill for some tax, and now the White Sox biggest concern is Robert's tax return. This tax saving concept sucked from day one. Here is what you do: 1. Pay the tax owed. 2. Move to the US. So, instead, this mega - wealthy 19 year old is hanging around the DR with money coming out of his pockets, dealing with whomever, playing once a week on some sand lot. He predictably hurts himself and goes to the local witch doctor for medical attention. He should be over here getting big league instruction, playing as often as possible, and getting better as quickly as possible. But No. We need to save taxes. What do we do to save taxes in 2018? Keep him in the DR again? Isn't this what crazy people do? Same thing over and over. What did Red Sox do when they signed Moncada to similar deal two years ago? They moved him the the US, put him on the Low A roster, and played him. Tax savings. $26 Mill is not enough. We have to save his taxes, too. Good lord.
  5. Can confirm that Kyle has never hated anyone in his life more than he hates Charlie Tilson.
  6. Guerrero is just having a ridiculous year.
  7. 7 inning, 8 k's and 0 walks and earned for Dane now.
  8. QUOTE (maxjusttyped @ Jun 28, 2017 -> 07:37 PM) Dane Dunning pitching another gem. 5 IP, 2 R, 0 ER, 5 K's, 0 BB. Through 6 with 0 earned, 6k's and no walks. ERA under 3 in Winston now. Talk about making an adjustment.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 28, 2017 -> 03:06 PM) Going to be emotional seeing Rodon pitch after he was part of the In Memoriam to start the season. John Cena like recovery skills to get back from that 2-3 year projection time.
  10. It is what it is but Avi's ops is just plummeting right now.
  11. Daryl Van Schouwen‏Verified account @CST_soxvan 2m2 minutes ago Looks like Quintana, who is out of the inning, might have told Sanchez he struck him out two times. If we trust my lip-reading skills.
  12. QUOTE (reiks12 @ Jun 27, 2017 -> 08:21 PM) QUintana was chirping there, what was that about I'm not watching but looking at gameday it appears that Joe West still f***in sucks.
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 27, 2017 -> 08:02 PM) Two biggest scouting blunders for me over last decade: - hoping Sox wouldn't draft Trout because he was too much like Rowand - being against a Q to NYY trade for Judge, Severino and more this past offseason My bad You wouldn't have taken an Aaron Rowand career from where the Sox were drafting that year?
  14. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Jun 27, 2017 -> 07:44 PM) Time to sell high on Avi. Every time I think he's about to completely tank he goes on about a week long crazy hot streak. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about selling high on him if you can, I'm just intrigued to see how he reacts to this super cold streak.
  15. QUOTE (Scoots @ Jun 27, 2017 -> 07:56 PM) Perfect thru 3 Minus the walk.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 26, 2017 -> 11:59 AM) I'm sure most of us know, but here is the s30 cast. Guy cast looks good but where are Emily and Ev? They retire? http://www.mtv.com/news/3018210/challenge-xxx-dirty-30-cast/ I'm guessing Emily doesn't want to do it these days but that's a complete guess on my part.
  17. Maybe they made that trade so we can all agree on something?
  18. QUOTE (Tony @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 10:23 PM) And now the Bulls are trading him to Golden State. YOU'RE AN IDIOT BADGER!!!!!
  19. Zoom I completely agree with you on DSJ and completely disagree with you on Monk, just wanted to throw that out there.
  20. Jimmy and Wiggins are kind of an odd fit playing side by side.
  21. QUOTE (Tony @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 09:26 PM) I think what hurts the most is they somehow had to give up No.16 to get the trade done. That's like in the "Rebuild 101" handbook, don't trade 1st round picks when you're rebuilding. Acquire more picks. This I completely agree with.
  22. QUOTE (iamshack @ Jun 22, 2017 -> 09:23 PM) Hmm, seems like it's pretty simple to me, Row. This isn't the NFL. You trade what you have of value now for something that potentially has more value in the future. Otherwise, it's not worth doing. You seem to be arguing that the fact they will now be worse than before is somehow value that can be attributable to this trade? If we're going this simple with this then yes, this trade in my mind has the chance to make the Bulls better in the long term. Obviously I don't know if it will but I'm willing to take that chance when I know they weren't going anywhere pre trade.
