QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 9, 2007 -> 03:07 PM) Except Booty has actually played QB, while Cassel was purely a clipboard holder. But yes if the Bears go down, my focus will be the Patriots and my favorite current QB in the NFL, Tom Brady. However, I am now predicting a Pats/Bears superbowl. Of course first the Bears got to win a playoff game and than another and than we'll see what happens in the big game. Did I mention how great Brady is. You called Troy Smith, Troy Brown, hence my Pats comment.

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 9, 2007 -> 03:00 PM) Grossman also put up ungodly passing numbers for a couple seasons and had a rocket ship of an arm. And even than he went 24th overall and had the Bears not taken him (although there was speculation the Packers had interest) he probably would have fallen to the 2nd round. I do think you are right, his arm is good enough but I wouldn't even think of comparing it to that of Grossman's. Brees was a 2nd round pick and took some time and I could buy this comparison a bit, however, Brees was 3 times the passer Brown was at the collegiate level. I would rather draft Booty than I would Brown. Someone has the Patriots on their mind.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 9, 2007 -> 12:30 AM) Nice to see Texas crack the Top 25. Drexel must really be playing well? Drexel is a pretty solid team. Already have road wins against Cuse and Nova. They have a tough game coming up against Hofstra on Thursday, should be a fun one there.

QUOTE(Brian @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:07 PM) I'm gonna start calling you out. YOu keep getting these out on a limb gut feelings, they never happen, and nobody mentions them. I got my eye on you, sir. I have a feeling SIU will win the whole NCAA tourney in April. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 3, 2006 -> 07:09 PM) LOL, like what? Cause I said once in the college basketball thread that I thought Depaul was going to beat Kentucky? Ohio State turned me off a lot during their game against Michigan. Florida will win that game, just watch. Sorry Brian but you called me out on this so I must bump this up. I hate to be "that" guy but both Michigan and Ohio State were overrated. Florida earned that National Championship, so congrats to them, they definitely deserve it.

Mo State takes down WSU. Shockers are now 1 and 3 in conference and in some trouble. Long way to go obviously but it's going to be very hard for them to get out of that hole to actually win the league.

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jan 7, 2007 -> 05:37 PM) Now I gotta go to a friend's house Wednesday night because cable doesn't have ESPNU down here. It shouldn't have to be this hard. I really despise espnu. We have a good amount of games on espnu and we can't even get it if we wanted here at home. Thankfully I do get it at school, otherwise I'd go insane.

5 things you don't know about me
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 02:37 AM) Wow, and it had nothing to do with hair/haircut. Hahaha. Well I did play bball a few days ago, for the first time since I got it cut, it's amazing how much easier it is to play when you can actually see the court.

5 things you don't know about me
Back in my bowling days(I was real good when I was 10-11, seriously) I had 5 strikes in a row to start a game in league play, my friends told a few people and all the sudden a bunch of people were surrounding our lane. My next shot, I hit my knee as I was throwing the ball and there went that game, ended up a 222. Too much pressure for the 10 year old Rowand.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 01:18 AM) The Big 12 has been bad lately. To be fair, all 3 of those wins have been over a crappy ISU team. Iowa State is probably the 11th best team in the Big 12. Ask Jay Bilas, those wins aren't monumental. Big 12 teams aren't to lose to Valley teams. That's what I believe. Never said it was monumental but still, the Valley has an over .500 record against the so called power conferences, what does that say?

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 12:44 AM) LOL We have a goal to win Big 12 championships and make in to the Final Four....a goal that is attainable at Iowa State. We want to be a high major.....and in doing so we can't lose to mid-majors. I hate to be "that guy", but all three ISU losses to Valley teams this year are unacceptable. Well sir, that so called mid major had the exact same record as the big 12 in last years ncaa tournament. This season the Valley so far is 2nd in the Conference rpi where the Big 12 is 6th. The Valley is over .500 against the bcs conferences, the big 12 is not. And the Valley is 3-3 against your big 12 this year. You can call the Valley whatever you please but it certainly isn't acting like a mid major on the basketball court.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 12:26 AM) I hate the Valley, but I don't mind the George Mason's of the world. I view ISU as a high-major basketball program that is not to lose to mid-majors. 0-3 will do that to you.

QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 5, 2007 -> 12:17 AM) It is very good. Another one of those 'put life in perspective' movies, for sure. It is well done, i would definitely say go see it to anyone who hasn't. You must get on aim.

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 4, 2007 -> 11:40 PM) Funny you should say that. I've been in Cali. for a few months now and all the pizza out here absolutely blows. So, friends of ours sent us three frozen Lou Malnati's pizzas for X-Mas. About an hour ago I threw one in the oven and kinda burned the crust and it was STILL a million times better than all the crap we've had out here. Ha, we actually sent some relatives some in Florida a few weeks ago. I absolutely love Lou's, it's easily my favorite meal in the world and I just can't have it when I'm at school. So when I'm home for break, I have it a ton.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jan 4, 2007 -> 10:26 PM) Top 25 teams don't lose to both UNI and Drake. I was just gonna say Drake, but the last time before this year State lost to Drake, they only lost 5 games that year. Guess the Valley is going to have to beat up on Iowa State even more for Heads to respect 'em.
