Kopech hit 110 mph on the radar
If we're going to hate on talented, cocky, young kids then this rebuild is really going to be tough.

*Official* Work Out Thread
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 17, 2017 -> 01:46 PM) No Lifetime Fitness folks? Not a ton of them in the chicagoland area for most of these folks. For me personally, it's a little out of my price range with the other stuff I do and Club is right by work, Life is not.

*Official* Work Out Thread
I worked at FFC about 4 years ago. I will say, it might be a little pricier overall but for what you get, if you can afford it, it's definitely worth it. And I just signed up at Club Fitness over here. Only a $10 enrollment and $20 a month. Really nice facility right by work, the only thing I don't love is it's definitely more crowded than I would like but I make it work.

Favre was also quite the diva and no where near as good as Aaron. I'm not a Bears fan so I don't hate the Packers but I was never a fan of Favre and I love watching Rodgers play.

Owens was super over before they gave him the belt, that's why he got it. The title run has definitely been lackluster but that's cause they're focusing more on him and Jericho than anything else. That's fine as it's been super entertaining but the title has definitely been a secondary story. I love Joe too but that's obviously a subjective thing. The rumor I read today for Styles at Mania is that he might be going against Shane. That'll turn me into super angry I'M QUITTING WRESTLING FOREVER fan.

QUOTE (zenryan @ Jan 15, 2017 -> 07:12 PM) Shouldn't have spiked it on first down. Always great to see the Cowboys lose That drove me nuts. That and kicking the PAT after their first td when they were down 15. That last rodgers throw though...damn.

Fansided 2017 Top 125 MLB Prospects
QUOTE (SoxAce @ Jan 14, 2017 -> 11:58 PM) They absolutely crippled his development. I've seen a ton of prospects never be the same when rushed. I really hope he can bounce back and the sox take their time with him from here on out. Ya I couldn't disagree with this more. But I've said my piece on this topic numerous times so I'll let it be.

Fansided 2017 Top 125 MLB Prospects
The Sox didn't destroy Fulmer. That's a silly thing to say but whatever. He was definitely disappointing last year, hopefully he has a nice a bounce back season. I'm cool with this list, the one thing that kind of sticks out to me is I think a lot of publications will have Lopez and Kopech flipped. Maybe not that high for Kopech but I see him being around that area where Lopez is around where they have Kopech ranked.

I Was on a Game Show Thread
QUOTE (Markbilliards @ Jan 13, 2017 -> 07:51 PM) Back in October my wife and I went to the Price is Right when we were in LA. I ended up being called to "Come on Down", won the bidding, got on stage for a game and won a TV, elliptical, Marc Jacobs handbags, a telescope, and a home vending machine. It was really fun. The episode aired today and of course as I'm in a room full of 20 coworkers ready to see it...right when it was supposed to start, on comes some breaking news report about a police probe that blocks the entire 1 hour show. It was pretty disappointing because I hadn't told any of them anything in the past 3 months except that my wife and I went to see the price is right, it was fun, and that the episode would be on the air on 1/13. Oh well, at least its online. Anyways....I thought this might be an interesting thread for people to share about times they were on game shows, tv shows, or have won contests. Well damn, that's awesome.

2017 Catch All thread
Congrats Steve! It's funny that you mention that because after my week of New Years binge, I've basically decided to cut myself off from booze until Mardi Gras down here(last weekend of February). Every year I generally cut myself off for a month or so just to get my body right and kill it in the gym for a bit. I'm also really freaking strange when it comes to alcohol, cause I go hard and I mean hard when I go out on Saturday nights but I also rarely drink(well football Sunday's I do) outside of that and unless it's a holiday or something I never drink during the week which completely shocks most people. It really is quite astonishing how different your body will feel.

**World Soxtalk Championship Wrestling IV Thread**
He's still got a bunch of indy dates to finish up and through the rumble it looks like. I'm guessing he gets Nak at the Mania takeover. I hope they just let him be him, let him be a fat guy, his athleticism is more impressive this way and his strikes look more vicious this way. Just leave the dude alone. EDIT: And like I've said before, I think they may be more receptive to him like this because he can be billed more as a monster and the flippy s*** he can do at this weight is ridiculously impressive. Where as before he was just kind of a skinny fat dude. Obviously, I have no clue if that's true but I can see it being.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 6, 2017 -> 06:37 PM) Eight rides in. Setting or pushing new output thresholds with each ride. Building up leg strength. Am out of the beginner rides and into the regular rides now. Still finishing in the top 20% or so. This thing is very addicting, folks. When do we see you in the Tour de France?

Sox holding talks "daily" on Q
QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jan 6, 2017 -> 06:28 PM) So if Q and his contract aren't worth a prospect like Bregman or Meadows...then who is? I always thought you had to trade more prospects for an allstar MLB player. Apparently now you have to trade more MLB players for one untouchable prospect? GMAFB. Chris Sale was worth the absolute #1 prospect plus three other really good prospects. Jose Quintana can get Bregman+ Jose Quintana can get Meadows+ It's not even a debate. It's just going to have to hurt if you're the Astros or Pirates. That's how trading for Allstar pitchers with legendary contracts works. Q is worth those guys + but doesn't mean their teams will trade them. That said, I don't think anyone is ever untouchable. Maybe the 'Stros don't want to include Bregman but that could change, same with Meadows and anyone else. There's no reason for posters to keep yelling that "Bregman wont be traded" every time he gets mentioned. No one knows if that's true or not.

Sox holding talks "daily" on Q
QUOTE (steveno89 @ Jan 6, 2017 -> 06:20 PM) Sports mockery suggests the Astros are offering martes, tucker and paulino for Quintana. Feels light. Give me reed and perez instead of paulino I usually try not to bash many sites or people for their sources or lack of but Sports Mockery is legit trash when it comes to this stuff.

Jose Abreu's Value
QUOTE (iamshack @ Jan 5, 2017 -> 07:13 PM) That being said, should the guy pick up where he left off in the second half last year, one would think he should absolutely bring back a few top prospects should bats be in demand come July. This is the reason I'm more reluctant to trade him right now than any of our other name guys. He's a guy that could really rebuild some of his trade value if he goes off in the 1st half like he did the 2nd half of last season. Obviously, if the right deal comes along right now, please move him but he's a guy that could really be more valuable come the deadline than right now.

Sox sign C Geovany Soto
Soto makes perfect sense. I'm cool with this.
