  1. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 09:08 PM) Don't forget about Furcal, bham. Right now Izuris and Guzman are both blocked by Rafael. Yeah thanks for reminding me I totally forgot Furcal, Guzman is 21 next season and put up near SL MVP numbers and something that caught my eye is he homered over all 3 sets of boards to left for his last ab of the game then the next AB he homered over all 3 sets of boards to Right. He actually hit more homeruns (6) at the Met than any of the Barons.
  2. QUOTE(GreatScott82 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 11:02 AM) Do they have a deep farm system? Yep they have good prospects in area's we lack in our system, Middle Infield and catching
  3. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 11:05 AM) DODGERS Edwin jackson and Delwyn Young Shoot higher like Joel Guzman, Johnathon Broxton. Broxton matches Jenks with a 100+ MPH Fastball and a devasting slider (his best pitch). Guzman looks to be blocked at ss by Ceaser Isturis and at 3rd by top prospect Andy LaRoche.
  4. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 07:20 PM) He was granted his release by the Sox's in May to go pitch in Japan. With the Marlins in such disorder he has a chance to make the Big league team. Good luck Josh
  5. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 16, 2005 -> 01:04 AM) Simple answer is yes. You don't trade your best prospect and only marginably improve your club. Unless the D'backs sign Kenny Lofton, Chris Young will have every opportunity to be their Opening Day CF. Yes, this year. Agreed totally I really see nothing stoping him from starting in CF this season Luis Terreo is the only opposition now that Cruz Jr is no longer a D Back
  6. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) Tom, what about Chris Getz as Barons starting 2B-man? I mean, he had a 10/35 K/BB ratio, which is absolutely sick, so it's pretty clear he's ready for high-A. And the Sox don't seem to have much hesitance skipping guys from Kanny to Birmingham. It was close but I am thinking with Randar that he will be in Winston-Salem. Valido has short and the battle between Gonzalez, Lopez, Getz for 2nd base. I think Gonzo will have it unless the Sox's go with Lopez for more ab's
  7. Crawford would be a great addition but with Tampa asking for Joey Gathright means Crawford will be much higher I am not sure if we have enough juice left in the minor league system to pull this off
  8. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 09:00 PM) and he wanted a new stadium and they wouldnt give it to him even though the team won 2 WS in not even 10 years time.....They dont deserve a baseball team. That is 100% Correct if people want someone to blame look to the voting both next year. Loria tried everything to get a new stadium for 2 years to no avail
  9. QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 12:22 AM) It said how Tracey is a possibility for the bullpen openings, as he liked the idea more after seeing the success Jenks had in the majors. Thanks, I don't get the Chicago paper down here but after seeing Trace go through a few innings then struggle made we wonder if Trace is better off in the pen
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Dec 15, 2005 -> 12:15 AM) Did you read the latest article on chicagosports? nope
  11. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 07:06 PM) agreed, why wilkerson when we have anderson and our other prospects? we dont need him... Other super prospects? Where? our best prospect not including Bmac or Brian Anderson is Ryan Sweeney our system is very thin
  12. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 09:41 PM) i hate to say this but i dont think anyone besides us thinks that sean tracey is a prospect in any form. hes 24 and had a 4+ era in AA last year. Sean's best bet is in the Pen
  13. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) I heard that : Garland, Uribe, 3 (?) prospects for miggy. its supposely over around chicago news? anyone hear anything like this featuring 3 prospects? or? We have very few good prospects left so I doubt it will be for 3 prospects
  14. QUOTE(iWiN4PreP @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 03:52 PM) GREAT TRADE. hell, what a beautiful trade. we gave up a prospect. which we have plenty of. who cares about chris young when you can win world serie(s)? So we have a lot of 40/40 prospects in the minors
  15. Good Bye Cy and see you for years to come in the Major League All-Star game. On a side note with him playing in the D'backs great hitters parks of Tuscon Electric and Chase Field will be great for CY.
  16. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 03:34 PM) in Spring Training. I was impressed however like I said there is no guarantee that he will be a great Major League Player. I wasn't meaning to come off the wrong way but what I seen out of CY this year watching him around 100 times this year is that he will be a special player
  17. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 03:31 PM) 141 488 61 124 33 3 3 45 12 .254 .322 .352 Not great stats. Also Olivo was supposed to be the next best catcher in baseball. I just have to ask have you seen Chris Young play a game?
  18. QUOTE(Ricky3353 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 03:21 PM) How good is Chris Young? Who would be his MLB comparison? From what i heard he sounds like juan pierre. Are you kidding? Chris Young hit more homeruns last year than Pierre has hit in his whole career.
  19. QUOTE(White Sox Josh @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 03:15 PM) Joe Borchard had great numbers in the Minors. Young is a prospect and prospects are suspects until proven otherwise. I have seen CY all year long and let me tell you he and Borchard are not even in the same league. Power, Speed, Defense the complete package.
  20. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Dec 14, 2005 -> 01:55 PM) I agree and disagree. I know they have REAL high expectations of Anderson, but what if? What if he doesnt pan out? Ownes is fast, but has no power. Sweeney has no power or speed. young has both power (i was suprise to read he had 20+ HRs last year) and speed. EXACTLY!! You don't give up players with the caliber of Young 26 Homers 42 doubles and 30 steals. Wow Az got them selves a good one.
  21. QUOTE(squeezeplay @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 02:23 PM) i'm having trouble understanding. maybe some more punctuation marks would make this easier to read. thanks! I have it in list form which should be easier to read
  22. QUOTE(Pierzynski 12 @ Dec 13, 2005 -> 04:09 PM) Chris Young isn't some kind of superstar, you know. Wow is all I can say, that would mean that the D-Rays should trade Delmon Young because he isn't a superstar either.

QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 08:27 PM) Listened to his new CD tonight. I would like others opinions that have taken it for a test drive. I am a bit biased since he is from my current neck of the woods. While I don't think any of the songs stood way out, I thought all of it was solid. It was easy to listen to. I was doing other things online, so I wasn't focused solely on that, but overall, I enjoyed it. Has anyone else actually listened to any of it? I have as well very good nothing that jumps out at you but very solid. Again like Rex I am not the best person to give an opinion of Bo's new CD
  24. QUOTE(daa84 @ Dec 12, 2005 -> 11:52 AM) i wont disagree with you guys...it is a big jump..all i can say is that is what his brother told me. its possible there was some miscommunication or thats just what has been said thus far..im just sayin what i heard. Yeah I understand I am not disagreeing with you or Paul's brother either. My thinking is he is most likely listed on the Barons roster but when the offical roster's come out 15 players come from Chicago down to Charlotte then the trickle down starts. I am thinking Paul because of his numbers will be starting in Winston-Salem or Kannapolis. Tom
  25. That is why the states need to adapt the Federal criminal punishment guidelines and takes out judicial discretion and mandates prison terms like this case was a Class A felony which means the perp would have served a term of no less than 11 years and no more than 22 years.
