For those of you who are pure baseball fans, this game and ballpark is a must see. Rickwood Field was built in 1910 and is the Oldest Ballpark in America. Truly a neat place.

I'm not sure what is going on with Bullard. The other day it looked like he was back throwing 3/4 rather than from the side or lower. I wonder if he is abandoning the Wunsch-style? Rowand was just hitting .289 2 or 3 days ago. A couple of 0fers and you want to send him to the bench? The Sox are playing decent baseball right now. There is no reason to make changes now.

Munoz loses no-hitter in the 8th inning. Hit a batter, then walked one and gave up a ground ball through the left side of the infield, allowing a run. 9-1 Barons after 8. Munoz ran out of gas, but one hell of an outing.

Victory Field in Indianapolis is an unbelievable park. It was one of the crown jewels of all levels of baseball when it was built. I saw it that first year and it ranked right up there with Camden Yards as one of the most beautiful ballparks I have seen. I haven't been there in about 8-9 years, so I hope it is still as nice as it was. It is definitely worth the trip.

Minor League DL is 7 days..... keep in mind that he has already missed 3 starts (3rd one today) so there is no definite timetable. The move to the DL was simply to make room for Fields. When Honel is ready to start, someone else will be moved from the roster.

Barons radio broadcaster just said that Kris Honel was placed on the DL today and will be replaced by Josh Fields who is scheduled to arrive from Tucson Monday. Apparently no new news on his injury other than just soreness/tendonitis. Just being careful since it is still sore.

I think you think too much....... You are putting way too much stock in batting averages after only 14 games. He could be hitting the ball on the nose every time and not getting any luck at all, for all we know. There is NO way to tell after 14 games by looking at a batting average that a guy is "overmatched". I'm not sure how old you are, but my recommendation is to relax, pop the top on an ice cold brew and chill for a bit. It is way too early to be getting your panties in a wad.

Wunsch is not currently counted on Charlotte's roster because he is on rehab. There still has to be a spot opened up for Torres. Wonder if someone is going on the DL?

I stand corrected.. He only aged one year. He is now 23. His original birthdate was listed as 2-18-82. His correct birthdate is 1-13-81.

He will replace Michael Riviera on the Charlotte roster, I guess. Hankins will do more catching, so Torres will fill a bench slot. Riviera was claimed on waivers by Oakland.
