Baron's starting pitching
Yep, Yan can fly. But so can Spidale. Barons had 8 SB's today to go with 13 hits and two Chattanooga errors and still could manage only three runs in 12 innings. That's sad. I'll have to get back to you on Stewart. I haven't really paid much attention to him at the plate. Speaking of sick...... Bajenaru is as close to automatic as it gets right now. Today, there was only one ball hit hard off of him and that wasn't creamed.

Baron's starting pitching
Let me start by saying I haven't seen as much baseball so far this year as I would like...... But as best I can tell, it comes and goes.... Morse has been hot (although he doesn't walk), Spidale has been solid, yet not great (but he does walk). Some of the older vets need to get their stuff together or they may be buying themselves a ticket out of town. Micah Franklin looks completely overmatched and has the absolute wrong uppercut swing for that ballpark. Yan has been pretty good after a slow start and can really run. Stewart has hit better than advertised. They are 12-10 and tied for first, so they haven't been too bad. But aside from hitting 6 HR's in a game a week or so ago, they aren't breaking any records.

Charlotte Roster
Something will shake out when Honel and Wing come back. I doubt either will be back real soon, so there is time. Either someone else will get hurt, someone will get promoted to Charlotte or something will happen. Yofu would likely go to the bullpen if no other moves are made. Don't be shocked to see Munoz in Chicago sooner than you might think. I am not making a prediction, but it wouldn't surprise me if he lands back in their bullpen. Munoz changes speeds so well and is using his changeup very effectively. His curveball is nasty and he can sneak a fastball by a guy in a hurry when necessary. I am not real high on Ulacia. The game the other night was on the road, so I didn't see it. Perhaps he will find it again and prove me wrong, but he just hits too many bats. Even most of his outs are hit hard. I would really be surprised to ever see him really even contribute well at AAA.

Baron's starting pitching
That has been their strength surprisingly, since Honel and Wing have been down.

Danny Wright optioned to AAA
Someone will have to start that game and it probably will be Cotts. The rainout pushed Buehrle back a day, so unless they go with 3 days rest, someone will have to make a spot start Wed.

Charlotte Roster
Kohlmeier would be the odd man out, most likely.

Sox Send Down Wright, Call Up Burke
Comments like that will cost you MSF. By the way I figure it, you now owe me somewhere in the neighborhood of this........

Sox Send Down Wright, Call Up Burke
Great, thanks for quoting me MSF. Now, when Diaz bombs, I am going to look like an idiot on TWO boards!

Dan Wright sent down to Charlotte
Don't think of Burke as a third catcher. Think of him as an extra bat off the bench and a guy who can play a few different positions. The Sox won't go with 12 pitcher's all year, so let's not get too wrapped up in the pitcher for position player swap. Another move of some kind will be made when it is time.

Dan Wright sent down to Charlotte
Birmingham has three catchers, so one of them is probably headed to Charlotte. Danny, since he pitched today, probably won't be activated on Charlotte's roster for a few days, allowing them to add another catcher before they have to move someone else. My guess is Aceves. He is an organizational type guy who tends to get bounced wherever they need him. He also plays the least of the three Birmingham catchers.

Dan Wright sent down to Charlotte
Hey Alex, have you seen an official word on a transaction wire for this move?
-
**The Official let's see what Feliz Diaz can do**
Wright has plenty of options. He has used either one or none. I couldn't determine which is correct because of certain circumstances.

Knights @ Indy
I didn't go to my own college graduation. I hit the beach in Florida instead. Now I have an excuse not to go to others. LOL

That was only true in the first half last year when he was at Winston-Salem. While in Birmingham, he hit .410 against lefties (62 AB) and .408 against righties (180 AB). In Winston, he hit .256 (only 43 AB) against lefties and .352 (179 AB) against righties.

Not exactly sure what you are looking for, but a good source of info on all Minor League teams is Minor League Baseball. It lists all teams, by classification and by affiliate.

Any chance of game today
It is approx 90 miles to the heavier stuff inside the large mass. The light green and blue stuff is not enough to affect a game. The dark green and yellow, however will stop it in a hurry.

How do you know the lineup so early?

Any chance of game today
It is 90 minutes before game time and heavy storms are about 90 miles west of USCF, heading directly that way. They are moving slightly northeast. Could be a long night in Sox land........

Andy Gonzalez's Promotion Looks Permanent
Nicholson was just sent back to Winston...... or is that what you meant, Jas? He replaced Troy Cameron.

Good Story on Mike Morse
My concerns with Morse...... 1. His swing is long 2. He doesn't take many pitches nor walk much 3. He swings at too many bad pitches and gets himself out 4. Only 1 2B to go with 5 HR's seems weird to me Aside from those things, he is hitting very well right now. But I suspect if he doesn't work on the above, he'll be back down around his career .250 before July. The potential is there, but those are my concerns.
