  1. QUOTE (knightni @ May 16, 2011 -> 07:00 PM) It was crazy watching Asik guard Lebron sometimes. His footwork brought a tear to my eye. I wanna see the replays just to see his footwork. Absolutely amazing for a big man. You just know they're working hard on team D when Kyle freakin' Korver is workin' his ass off on wade and doin' a good job of it. I just love how much of a team this group of guys is. EVERYONE is buying in...a true testament to not only how good of a group of guys it is but moreso how great of a coaching job Thibs is doing and a humble Rose is doing as a leader. Gotta love that. Virtually impossible to dislike them. Also, this was even more huge because of the mental fragility of the heat. I could practically hear wade's ego being crushed on that Taj facial he received. It would be difficult for the Bulls to lose the series if they win on Wednesday just based on the mental fragility of lebron, wade, spoelstra, and the rest of the heat and their ability to give up in the face of adversity. And boozer's cheerleading is All-NBA 1st team-worthy.
  2. f*** it, my head says heat in 6 but my heart says the Bulls take this series on pure heart and desire...couple of verry tight games, each teach with a semi-blowout win, and an OT for good measure with Pooh fighting and absolutely carrying the team throughout. I'm sorry but you are not a Bulls fan if you fully expect the heat to win this series.
  3. D. J. Mbenga is kinda like Hakeem "The Dream" Olajuwon in his prime...I am clearly referring to them both being centers born in Africa with the ability to rebound and block shots.
  4. steph curry > cp3 cuz Im a f***in G like that
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 09:08 PM) For now. They turned on them within 3 minutes of the game.
  6. QUOTE (Felix @ Apr 17, 2011 -> 05:50 PM) I did watch the Bulls yesterday. I wasn't particularly impressed by Rose until the fourth quarter, when he basically took over the game and made it his b****. He was the reason they won, without a doubt. First three quarters though, I just wasn't impressed with his performance. He was getting killed by Collison, didn't take care of the ball particularly well and was settling for the outside shot way too much. He had a couple of really flashy plays that were awesome, but other than that he wasn't playing the type of basketball he should be. The fourth quarter, obviously, was a completely different story. Really, really excellent play to give the Bulls the W. zach randolph > kevin love
  7. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 06:21 PM) My minds > Yours. Half of you wanted teh suck that is Tyson Chandler. The other half of you were sad to see Kurt(sup Vinny) go. And the others think Luol Deng is having a great year when in all honesty, he's not playing at a higher level, it's just the team is winning and Rose is a unicorn. LOL Don't you still like oj mayo over Rose?? And zoom wanted beasley over Rose And j4l is almost always overreactingly wrong Not that big of a deal. Everyone's gonna have a wrong opinion every now and then...
  8. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 26, 2011 -> 11:21 AM) And being pessimistic doesn't make me any less of a fan. Nope, just really, really annoying. Not singling you out, just those that are over-the-top pessimistic. It was mentioned before on here about how it's easier to be pessimistic about everything so that you can be first to say I-told-you-so! and just laugh off everything you were wrong about because hey, it's your team and you're glad they proved you wrong anyways... Goes both ways. Oh yeah, and old people suck...
  9. QUOTE (qwerty @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 01:15 AM) In the future i will make sure to make as many posts as possible in which i quote someone... so at the very least you can still see my avatar. Btw, joemancool could come up with a wittier diss than sqwerty. At the very least you could have gotten in a better last jab than something as juvenile as that. I was j/k
  10. QUOTE (qwerty @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 11:45 PM) The ignore feature is pathetic. Wahhhhhhh... i can't handle hearing something i don't like or disagree with. Wahhhhh... so and so is so vulgar... wahhhhhh... so and so is so annoying and stupid. Such is life. Deal with it and move on. Not everyone can coward into a corner and not deal with what is at hand. Well they could i suppose, but nothing would get resolved, and it would be nothing short of disgraceful. Ignoring someone is just letting them get their way. You are being fed right into their hands. Hilarious. j4l and sqwerty = IGNORED
  11. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 06:49 AM) Not to mention his consistent dribbling out the clock and average court vision. But then again, I was never a fan of his. I was a fan. I just hated how he had NO consistent jump shot. Not acceptable, especially for a white player
  12. I LOVE Chicago high school basketball. My De La Salle Meteors once again bowed out earlier than they should have. Yes, it's always a tough road because of how unbalanced it is with simeon, whitney young, De, farragut, mount carmel, ignatius, and a bunch of other top teams always in the same sectional, but this should have been the year with Shaw and Henley as seniors along with the sophmore trio of Foster, Tate, and Ellis. Oh well. I'm excited to see the trio for the next 2 years and am happy that De will continue to be a hoops powerhouse. As for benet, I went to that game at uic when they beat simeon, and it was one of the best live games I've seen in a while. From the moment I saw the teams come out and their layup lines, simeon with all 10 dunking, benet in their all white warmups with a couple of kids missing layups, I thought it might be a rout. But benet played the game of their lives. And their student section was amazing. I loved their chants. You can't fault that win at all. It was just their night. Yes, there's that theory that you'd rather lose during the season so you don't carry that into the playoffs, come back hungry from a loss, learn from a loss, etc., but it was just their night that night. And boatright is an amazing player. I don't understand that uconn comment at all. 2011 class has been amazing to watch...davis, Shaw, Henley, blackshear, boatright, randle, egwu, abrams, brooks, sobeleski, kaminski, all live. I just watched anthony davis play my Meteors this year. He is a big-time talent talent; perspectives was so bad he had to lob it off glass to himself a couple of times. Fun to watch blackshear live from his freshman year at curie playing at the holiday classic at DePaul to playing against boatright at Chicago state to playing against randle at uic this year. Watching my Meteors at home, on the road, at loyola against detroit country day in an EPIC overtime game, one of the best live games I've ever seen, where Henley was being called the top player in the state after he stepped up, along with Needham outplaying mccallum, even though they lost, at northwestern for the city suburban showdown beating north lawndale, at uic last year beating simeon, etc., etc., etc. Gonna be fun to watch the 2013 class. Parker is ridiculous. And I'm excited about the De trio
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 6, 2011 -> 03:21 PM) Some of that is the absolute udder crap that is Mike Miller. What the hell happened to that dude? He had at least 4 WIDE open 3's in which no Bulls defender was within 5 feet of him and bricked every one of them. And Haslem was a much bigger loss than many thought. Do you ever re-read your posts before the season started about the heat?
  14. This reminds me of the "girls you think are attractive that not everyone else does" thread that ended up with everyone naming the hottest girls on earth... Saw the social network last night. Ridiculously overhyped. The characters just plain annoyed me.
  15. What's a good, non-expensive Chinese restaurant in Chinatown to take a group of youth?
